Sun- STRAUSS: The politics of health care reform in the aftermath of COVID-19
It is true that Charest’s proposals for health care reform are necessary. Alas, Charest is the least credible public figure to implement such policies. Policies, particularly controversial ones, need to be backed by principle in order to ever prevail in the political battles to come.
This hack has been sucking the public teat since he was 26. Has not acted on behalf of constituents the entire time.
He’s had a lifetime to bring effective change.
He’s a joke.
Charest’s health care plan?
Hauwei?
Yes, I’m afraid John Charest has spent decades pretty convincingly soiling his own bed. I break-out the CPC’s leadership candidates as follows:
– Pierre Poilievre – has given the Liberals $HIT throughout the term, censored by previous CPC leader O’FOOL for doing his job. Oh and, does not have “nice hair” either; BONUS!
– John Charest – will say and do ANYTHING you want him to, to win, and thereafter will do whatever he wants, and to he11 with you. Just like a current unnamed PM.
– Leslyn Lewis – shows-up at every leadership convention, and you never hear of her otherwise.
– the rest? – who are they, anyway? Patrick Brown really coloured that lot when he closed the local rink because COVID, and then he and his buddies went in and played hockey. Yep, just like Ignatieff – “Canada is only worth living-in if I’m PM…”
My money’s on Poilievre.
I figure Charest’s last stop will be to run for leader of the NDP when Singh is gone, at which point there will be no place left to go and hopefully he will disappear into the black hole he came from.. Steve O
Charest has deep pockets; I get robocalls from him every two weeks, and mailouts on the other two weeks. He is definitely the candidate the Establishment CPC wants.
