  1. All water in the water cycle has exited out of someone or some things pisseroo at some point. Especially if you are at the estuary of any river. New York, New Orleans, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Montreal, Vancouver etc etc

    1. I’m reminded of a line from the movie The Devil’s Brigade. In a scene in one of the barracks, a soldier takes a swig from a bottle and says, “I think the horse that this came from needs its kidneys checked.”

  2. I swear that Labatt’s and Molson’s have been doing that for years……

  3. My favorite quote in the article:

““If you don’t tell people it’s made from waste water, they probably won’t know,” said Grace Chen, 52, after sampling the ale.”

    Probably….they PROBABLY…won’t know. Probably.

  4. Look for Ganges River Pale Ale winning some freaking award soon. Pay off a few judges…bingo, bango, bongo. Gold star.

    1. Ghandi used to drink a pint of his own piss daily , sort of a reflux . definitely seemed to work for weight loss

    2. Uggh … don’t those dirty people “bury” their dead in the Ganges? I can’t think of anything more filthy and polluting. Shiva be damned.

  5. Used to be a brewery (Carlings I the think) that produced Black Horse Ale-
Only beer with a picture of the source on the label.

  6. Didn’t Labatts produce a beer called Bock? My buds used to describe it as spring run off from the cattle feeding pen.

  7. I recall a time when smoking in bars was allowed. The the screens in the urinals were to keep the buts out of the draft . . .

  8. Now this reminds me of the greatest journalistic assignment ever, which came about as a matter of pure chance. In 1999 there was an earthquake in Taiwan, and AP had a roving Asia correspondent based in Tokyo, so he got the assignment. As a result, he filed a memorable story which ran in the Globe and Mail with the perfect headline: “Trapped in rubble for days, they drank each other’s urine to survive”, by Dirk Beveridge.
