The US Supreme Court decision is not specifically anti-abortion, it is pro-states-rights, and therefore in the spirit of the constitution. What each state may determine is best policy remains within that state’s legislative capacity. If abortion strikes all fifty states as a good thing, then there will be no ban on abortion. But we all know that is not the case today. Perhaps more to the point, states can fine tune abortion laws to prevent certain forms of abortion while providing others.
As to the angst of Justin Castreau, obviously he should be well aware of the misery an unwanted birth could cause a mother.
