Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

But if they don’t kill off so many babies, there won’t be an excuse for a flood of new refugees and migrants to America!
I am sure that in the US they can expect days of mostly peaceful protests and I hope that people don’t get shot.

The New York Times is painting this as the end of civilization.
President Houseplant needs to redirect everyone’s attention
away from his increasing decay and decrepitude…
“The same rationale that the Supreme Court used to declare there
was no right to abortion, he said, should also be used to overturn cases
establishing rights to contraception, same-sex consensual relations
and same-sex marriage.”
Gasoline on a sputtering fire.

Time to Credit Donald Trump for Overturning Roe
https://spectator.org/but-gorsuch-credit-donald-trump-roe/
Yup and Mitch McConnell should certainly get honourable mention. Telling Obama to pound salt when they tried to slip Merrick Garland in as a Justice after Scalia died and who the media painted as a “moderate”.
Yeah, right.
Success has a thousand fathers. Failure is an orphan.
I believe the source of that comment was JFK, said after the failure of the Bay of Pigs campaign.
Just a reminder that Canada has NO legal statutes regarding abortion. In fact we have blown by the abortion debate into full blown infanticide. About 1 child per workday survives the abortion procedure to die somehow after delivery.
The sad fact is that Canadians will have it no other way.
Blackie will break off diplomatic relations with the U.S.
That will be the day. He and the LIEberal party are joined at the hip with the Demarxists. The only difference between them is their accents.
I look forward to the news of a restored President Trump’s signing death warrants for unrepentant abortionists and his unrepentant clientèle.
Has the issue been returned to the people to decide? Then the next step is to make sure that the people’s will is respected.
The will of the people:

It’s a good thing it’s a Republic and not a Democracy, isn’t it?
If it’s really as popular as the pollsters think then there will be no problem for lawmakers to apply appropriate rules for what the voters in that area want. And guess what? They’re already doing it. If you think that they’re doing it incorrectly then look to see what happens when they run for re-election.
Roe versus Wade was bad law. It was finding some BS in the Constitution and applying it to support the result you wanted. Utilizing privacy rights to kill babies? Bizarre. Baby killing doesn’t end. It’s just up to the states now. The Democrats in Blue States still get to kill all the Black babies they want.
Exactly.
It wasn’t a law, it was a ruling barring states from enacting laws that prohibited abortions.
No, it was a law, and a bad one.
Irrelevant now because it is up to individual states.
Courts don’t pass laws.
Do explain the 1973 decision.
Or don’t.
Allan S finally gets one right! They’re not supposed to make laws. THAT is why this overturn occurred.
And now it has, rightly, been overturned. That’s what happens when courts invent “rights” out of whole cloth and impose them. Top down never works.
1) They weren’t ‘inventing’ anything just recognizing the meaningful implications of the USC as applied
2) Worked perfectly fine for 49 years. The resolution to slavery and Jim Crow were top down solutions too. States’ Rights are bunkum.
It was just four years ago when a political committee supporting one of Trump’s Republican rivals unveiled an ad slamming his views on abortion, complete with footage from a 1999 interview in which he declared, “I am pro-choice in every respect.”

Crowder actually read from the decision from Thomas. Specifically states gay marriage is not on the table at all. Tim has either not read the decision or is fear mongering himself
You are a bald faced liar. Thomas explicitly mentions the precedent-setting case making gay marriage a “right”, and says that the reasoning behind it is flawed and unconstitutional.
Democrats, the solution is simple; pass a law legalizing abortion.
Yeah, you’ll have to decide what time limit to put on it (3 months, 6 months, or 9 months), but surely Democrats are up to the challenge?
Nope….that’s not the solution at all. The issue is jurisdiction and the Court has said it is in the hands of the States not the feds.
Actually it is the solution. Democrats can pass a law in each state.
Remember Democrats say the majority of Americans want access to abortion. So Democrats, propose and pass the legislation.
If it is a question of jurisdiction, and I’m not sure it is, Pelosi can use her bully pulpit, and develop legislation which all states could vote on.
Or, the Democrats could propose a constitutional amendment, which if enacted, would resolve the jurisdictional issue and the constitutional issues.
The Democrats don’t control each State. It isn’t the solution. It absolutely IS a question of jurisdiction as the Constitution clearly shows. Your thinking is paper thin. While (you claim), the “majority of Americans want access to abortion”, that isn’t the issue either because the “majority” is not even (or real) across the country. Furthermore, it’s not an on/off switch for abortion because if you put the question to people in terms of when the cut off would be for an abortion, you get a very different answer. It is called the UNITED STATES for a reason. You should brush up on civics.
Art
The Democrats can take the lead and develop legislation permitting abortion.
They’ll have to define under what circumstances it would be permitted. Hard to make a proposal? Not really. They should be able to draft it in a day.
Then have the discussion. Present arguments. Persuade people. Try to arrive at a consensus. Basic civics, basic governance.
Instead, the left, egged on by Democrats will deploy “peaceful” protests (burning, looting, and intimidation).
Do a majority of Americans want some form of legalized abortion? Democrat politicians say they do.
If you want a the same abortion rule across the United States, propose a constitutional amendment. Basic US civics. If you can’t get one, then the UNITED States obviously aren’t so united, and another wording for the amendment should be attempted.
The very same civics that note what powers are apportioned to the federal government, and notes that everything else belongs to the states (to which abortion has now been returned)? Those civics?
Watching the American pirate gangster state in its death throes is pretty entertaining, I’ll grant.
I think being spanked in Ukraine, spanked in the EU, and spanked in the currency space is going to be healthy for them. Make them value honest work, creating real value again for a change. There is no reason why so much industry needed to be offshored.
I think spending the next 30 years as an isolated, self-absorbed neo-island would be healthy for America, and would greatly beneift the world.
We will see if Americans have the same forbearance and maturity that the British showed as they lost their Empire.
The vast unwashed masses who will be participating in “a night of rage” tonight … burning Catholic Churches, and burning other shit … because it’s only “things” and “things” can be replaced … know absolutely NOTHING about The Law. Or Logic. Or Reasoning. No, these people live in a tiny little bubble of emotion. An effervescent little bubble sustained only by their feeeeeelings. Sadly, the Courts of the last 50 years have indulged their emotions and rewritten laws to accommodate their feeeeeelings.
The problem with this is the absurdity of their emotions (and therefore STUPID new legal interpretations) haven’t been thought out to their logical conclusions. Ex. When Roe v Wade was passed … with its SPECIFIC limitations on how many weeks into a pregnancy a child’s life could be extinguished … nobody would have even CONSIDERED that 40 years later “Health Officials” would blithely insist that a child could be *ahem* terminated right up to and even AFTER the moment of birth. The reason? Because ”it’s a decision between a woman and her Doctor”. Sounds reasonable, Right? WRONG!!! Just because two people agree to murder … doesn’t make it moral or legal to do so. So the Court just corrected this error … on a case centering on this very issue.
”it’s a decision between a woman and her Doctor”. … and ”gay marriage is only about love” Is another shallow emotional platitude used to “sell” by marriage to an ignorant public. If ANY marriage can be boiled down to ONLY who, or gawwwwd “what” you love … then literally … anything one defines as being loved can be joined in matrimony. This is absurd, immoral, and wholly erodes the fundamental, biological and cultural meaning of marriage. Which literally makes a mockery of traditional heterosexual marriage. Hence, if you “love” your son or daughter … you should be able to marry him or her. And why should that “love” have to wait until he’s 18? It doesn’t seem as though your daughter had to wait until she was 18 to have her breasts removed … because that decision was between a girl and her doctor and her lesbian partner “loved it”.
Has the High Court put an end to sloganeering Justice? Let’s hope so.
History recalls another “night of rage”….it was called “Kristallnacht”. Watch the DCN stooges call up their S.A. just like they did when the bum George Floyd croaked.
Just like in Canada.
And right on cue … Maxine Waters is calling for a “Night of Rage”
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/maxine-waters-reacts-dobbs-ruling-hell-supreme-court-we-will-defy-them
BTW … the decision was 6-3 … yet our feeble-minded POTUS cited “Trump’s” 3-Justices as the primary cause of the ruling. No mention of the other 3 Justices. So … the Democrats KNOW they are gonna get CRUSHED by a RED WAVE … led by PDJT … coming at them. They simply cannot stop running against President Donald J Trump.
…”And right on cue … Maxine Waters is calling for a “Night of Rage…”
That race baiting sack of shit should been dumped into a van, dropped into a hole.

Comment by a dog to a man: “You knew I was a lousy cook before you married me.”
Source: Penthouse Magazine cartoon 1984
Dear Penthouse;
I was hitchhiking on a lonely country road when a convertible with three gorgeous women stopped to give me a ride. If I only knew how wild those rides would be … good thing I always carry three condoms … just in case … since non of these women would be able to get an abortion … Thanks to Bible-thumping Trump …
It’s not murder. Unborn parasites aren’t people and they don’t have rights.
“then literally … anything one defines as being loved can be joined in matrimony”
“This is absurd, immoral, and wholly erodes the fundamental, biological and cultural meaning of marriage.”
Not in the slightest.
“Which literally makes a mockery of traditional heterosexual marriage.”
Tough cheese.
Lthe fundamental, biological and cultural meaning of marriage.”
Not in the slightest.
“Which literally makes a mockery of traditional heterosexual marriage.”

Except that gay people are not getting married in any significant numbers. And gay ideology used to affirm that marriage is a useless, archaic antique born of nothing but capitalist property relations. Add to that the fact that civil unions never lacked a single benefit that married unions have.
So 2 questions:
1) Is gay marriage the gay version of a useless archaic antique born of nothing but capitalist property relations or is it a human right?
2) In what sense is gay marriage progress?
There is no such thing as ‘gay ideology’, and the numbers getting married are not germane to the existence and validity of the right to do so.
On what do you base the validity of the right?
Is it progress? How?
How old were you in the 90s? Gay people themselves would tell you there’s a gay ideology.
Yes, dear.
That’s nice.
Run along and play while grown-ups talk about serious matters.
“It’s not murder. Unborn parasites aren’t people and they don’t have rights.”
And now each state can have that discussion and settle things as the voters deem proper. Win/win, right?
This wasn’t an “abortion is murder” decision. It was a “this is a republic” decision.
“It was a “this is a republic” decision.”
Oh cripes this nonsense. Like a proper republic lets its sub-national governments oppress their own citizens at the behest of majorities. And that’s before getting to inevitable point of going after abortion providers availing services to out-of-state customers. Some of the anti-choicers have come right out and said it.
“Like a proper republic lets its sub-national governments oppress their own citizens at the behest of majorities.”
Aside from the hysterical phrasing, yes, that’s exactly what a proper republic – a gathering of separately-empowered internally-democratic jurisdictions – does.
You don’t have a corner on morality. Others might not buy your parsings. The great thing about a republic is, they don’t have to. They can make it illegal to oppress babies if they so desire. You don’t get your own way merely because you can shout “but I’m good and you’re bad” the loudest.
I think we should remove the entirety of UnMe’s frontal lobes. They are clearly just parasites, not only on its body, but society in general.
Anyone who would term a viable growing fetus a … “parasite” is just completely mental. Mentally sick. Sick in the head … beyond repair. Beyond redemption
It’s literally all it is. An extremely dangerous parasite that ruins the host’s life and it only gets worse after gestation.
“ It’s literally all it is. An extremely dangerous parasite that ruins the host’s life and it only gets worse after gestation.”
As a misanthrope with nothing vested in the human race, do you call yourself “UnMe” because of a desire not to be?
“An extremely dangerous parasite that ruins the host’s life . . . “
Progressives?
Question for you…..if NASA released a press release stating they found a zygote on Mars, what do you think the 96 point headlines would be in the paper the next day? You are an imbecile….but we have always known that.
Parasite…?? Excuse me.?
In what galaxy is an unborn child called/considered a “parasite” …?
UmMe You are one beyond disgusting sack of sub human garbage.
FOAD yesterday you sick Filthy Phuque.
“Unborn parasites…”
Uh huh. Sucks to be you today, huh big boy?
It is murder; those are human beings the left is eradicating in its genocide against the unborn. You see, ScUmMe, it would have been wrong to abort even you in utero, regardless of how loathsome and odious an “adult” you turned into.
We are all smiling now that you and your immoral lot are melting down over this; that too is “tough cheese”.
mhb23re
They are not human beings and even if they were, they don’t have the right to infringe on the personal space of their hosts.
You propose sacrificing the real rights of real people for the non-rights of potential people.
“ It’s literally all it is. An extremely dangerous parasite that ruins the host’s life and it only gets worse after gestation.”
What sense does it make to care about the rights of “real people” if they haven’t stopped getting worse since gestation?
A parasite is also an organism of a different species.
Very thoughtful analysis. Emotions — rather than logic — driving every last political/social decision is an ongoing problem.
Burn the churches. Burn the Vatican. Kill the pope. Useless bunch of creeps and crooks and demented perverts.
Ass with Hole.
While people believe this to be a ruling about abortion, it isn’t. It is about JURISDICTION. Virtually EVERYTHING that is going on politically (not only in the U.S., but also Canada) is about pushing more and more jurisdiction to a central government à la Soviet Union. You see it in everything….more power to the centre, less to the States/Provinces. And in the context of the U.S., it’s called the UNITED States for a reason. The feds don’t dictate to the States.
Yep. The things that the feds can legitimately legislate are clearly enumerated in the Constitution. They do not include firearms, education, marriage, abortion, or energy.
But it wasn’t legislated. It was a prohibition from the highest court of the land. The constitution says so.
And the word for today is…enumerated.
SCOTUS is part of the federal gov’t, idiot.
Bingo and the CONSTITUTION says its the highest court of the land.
Yes, Allan, so the correction that has been applied (to return something not within the sphere of the federal government) is binding upon the entire land. It was never the court’s role to create “new” rights out of whole cloth. In those cases where judicial over-reach has occurred, this court is willing to correct that error. That’s why the other instances of judicial over-reach at the federal level are now at risk: because elected lawmakers are supposed to make the laws, not selected judges.
Your word for the day is … “remanded” …. the legality of abortion is REMANDED to the States. Not to worry if I knock up some black chick … I live in CA … where the supermajority baby-killer Legislature and Governor have already officially legalized abortion. I can kill all the mixed race babies I want. But that’s not racist …
Roe v Wade was unconstitutional from its inception. The constitution is clear. It is a State decision. Not the feds. End of STORY!
I am in agreement, it belongs to the states.
And if Democrats want a uniform abortion law in each state, they can take the lead and propose a law for each state to adopt.
Or, they can propose a constitutional amendment.
Simple in concept, but difficult to execute, but that’s why we have politicians.
Sucks to be you today too, eh Allan S?
Federal steam roller grinds to a halt, and not the state legislatures decide. Oh noooo, it is the end of the!!!!!
Because state legislatures are what, Allan S? Dumber? Smaller? Less controlled by your favorite party?
Yep. Sucks to be you.
” Dumber? Smaller? ”
Often both yes. There’s little evidence they make better decisions than the federal one.
We will bring back that federal steam roller. This time we won’t stop with a court ruling.
Show me the Article, asshole.
Article III establishes the Supreme court.
https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/articleiii
They take up cases with federal issues, including anything to do with the the constitutional amendments.
All laws of the land are subject to the above. Period.
UNITED states?
Depends on what you’re talking about.
From a states’ point of view they may be United as to what rights belong to the states and what belong to the Feds.
From an outcomes point of view, STATES’ rights allows states to have different laws and rules.
But from an outcomes point of view, the states have never been UNITED.
Anyone ever seen Idiocracy?
Johnny Depp starred in it, didn’t he?
Yes ALLA, you comments provide a window to stupidity and bullschiff.
I see it every time you comment, Allan S.
And while Canadians have to wait for knee & hip replacements, or face months of delays for cancer diagnostics and treatment, Jr will open the door to American women to come to Canada for taxpayer funded abortions. Vaxxed or unvaxxed – it does not matter, as this is an emergency.
Because Jr has not read the law, either. This is not about abortion as much as about jurisdiction. The SCOTUS is returning this aspect of health care to the individual States, where it belongs. States can respond to the will of their citizens better than a distant DC government. (Esp. this one.)
The left hates any law that does not allow them to bully others into acquiescing to their agendas, and central government control (yes, I’m lookin’ at YOU, Canada) has been a very handy tool for them to accomplish just that.
Many states will end up allowing abortion.
Why in the world does this belong to the states? Why do the states have the right to take the rights of their people away?
Yes, how dare the federal or state government tell people that they can’t own and torture slaves anymore. If your immediate answer is “but that’s different…” then you should stop and think about what an intellectual lightweight you repeatedly show yourself to be and why that’s why none of us take you seriously.
Now hush, child, the grown-ups are talking.
Also many of the state laws likely won’t pass muster. A “heartbeat” at a few weeks is pseudoscience, the heart doesn’t start besting until about week 18-20. Making it illegal to go across state lines for an abortion won’t pass muster either.
A state can just call it infanticide, and arrest anyone who they know had an abortion out-of-state. I suggest you look into what the enumerated powers of the feds are. They don’t include marriage, or abortion.
Yes, and the imagery of Gilead Police arresting women for crossing state lines at state border checkpoints will be horrifying and highly galvanizing. The politics of ending Roe are toxic to the GOP coalition.
Aw…..are you mad?
Delusional.
To further this, having to carry a fetus that has died is beyond cruel. Many of these states don’t even have exceptions for that. Many late
stage abortions are either the fetus has died or something very bad happens.
The womb carriers can carry their wombs full or empty.
If thats not evil, I don’t know what is.
Right….you don’t know what is evil.
No … such a section to terminate a pregnancy … is a decision … “between a woman and her doctor”. That’s the leftists standard. If a woman and her doctor decide to murder a baby about to be born … it’s “their choice”.
Proving that emotional sloganeering is very dangerous to people and other living things
Someone’s mother failed to exercise her right.
But heartbeats AREN’T pseudo-science. We have them. Expectant mothers go into doctor’s offices to hear them. Heartbeats occur at ten weeks.
Your argument isn’t just invalid; it’s garbage.
They are complete pseudoscience. There is nothing special about a heartbeat that confers personhood. Your argument isn’t even an argument. It’s all emotionalism all the way down.
Except that heartbeats DO exist.
Why would you think otherwise?
Oh, yes – you’re not at all clever.
So what if they exist?
Bullshit.
Your argument is purely emotional. The heartbeat detected however early – IS indication of a viable fetus, life.
The baby, in it’s fetus form, already has half the chromosomes of it’s father – none should have the right to kill that child.
The other points you’ve alluded to are pure poppycock.
How can an electrical signal be a heartbeat if the heart is not beating? You aren’t listening to mechanical movement.
Except that the heart IS beating.
A heartbeat can be detected at ten weeks. By this time, the woman may have only just discovered that she is pregnant.
If a heartbeat is not a sign of life, then woe betide you come your next physical.
Funny how the pseudoscience of that heartbeat becomes a REAL CHILD about 95% of the time … and at a much higher percentage if you’re a healthy woman who takes care of herself during pregnancy.
Pseudoscience … meet … human child
It’s not a sign of truly human life, which happens between the ears. My dog is more of a person and more deserving of rights than an embryo.
alla ASS
You also stated (or insinuated) that dominion election machines were not on line and hackable, you even stated that Pulizer hacked into a polling pad, when he actually hacked into a dominion voting machine. Now the HHS is concerned about the fact that Dominion machines are hooked to the internet, and easily compromised . Do you ever do follow up to your lying bullshit comments????
Provide links or you are full of it like usual.
You left out that Texas will ban abortion from the moment of conception. Every IUD is now a murder weapon and everyone with them implanted or carrying them is a murder suspect/aiding and abetting homicide. Absolutely insane.
I always that Team Red’s chances in the senate weren’t that great and now with the blowback from this asinine decision I expect those chances get worse. Team Blue will have no problem turning out its base and when the Gilead police start doing their thing it will scare the sh*t out of young or middle aged women everywhere and rightly so.
Funny enough, Sunnunu of NH has no interest in any anti-choice legislation. He came right out as a pro-choice governor and has no interest in running for the US senate. Successful people don’t associate with Team Red.
Do you live in Texas? If not, it’s none of your bloody business, clown.
Yes it is. I am concerned with the rights of all. If I am in a flight and say I’m carrying an IUD on my person and the flight has to stop in Texas God forbid, Gilead Police can totally take an interest in me. After all I’m carrying murder accessories.
There will be no blowback. Lefty white middle-class women no longer own this issue. In fact, moving it back to the states will dilute the “national” character of this debate.
The progs/extreme lefties will still get slaughtered come the November mid-terms.
“ In fact, moving it back to the states will dilute the “national” character of this debate.”
LOLWUT? That doesn’t even begin to make sense and there is no reason to believe that middle-class women will not be all about this issue which is of utmost import to them.
Don’t worry lefties. You’ll still be able to kill black babies in most States.
I have visions of leftist heads exploding much like nukes going off in the closing scene in Dr. Strangelove.
Or the “heads exploding” scene in “the Kingsmen.”
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNJzrvtnoQE
Best part of the movie. 🙂
Indeed.
Yep. 🙂
More important than the decision is this statement. Justice Alito states only women can get pregnant in decision, calls abortion “a medical procedure that only one sex can undergo”.
The Dems became quite irate when we told them they couldn’t enslave black folk, and now they’re going nuts when they’re told they can’t kill black babies in a few states.
+++++
Exactly right. This will save far more black lives than have any unconstitutional gun laws implemented by liberals.
Now you’re going to try to one up them by enslaving women! Clever girl.
The women are free to go to blue states, just like people who don’t want to wear seatbelts or people who want to smoke in a bar are free to go to NH.
Your lies and duplicity clearly know no bounds.
1) You don’t know how ‘freedom’ works. Having to move abroad to exercise a right =/= freedom
2) The Gilead Taliban will not stop at their state borders. They will try to impose themselves on the free states.
“Enslaving women”? Maybe they need to be more careful.
the new KKK en devour, abortion clinic in a black neighbourhood near you.
It’s an insane decision and just the kind Madison feared. He was afraid that in future rights not explicitly denoted in the BoR would be said not to exist. Thomas even says along the line that if you think people have a right to abortion you might also-GASP-say they have a right to drugs and prostitution. This is a court comprised of conservatives that hate almost any freedom not associated with the 2A.
The only bright side is that this will likely hasten the end of Team Red as a real political force, especially in Texas. Beto needs to bang only one drum right now lets see how he screws this up.
It is in accordance with the 10th Amendment.
Deal with it.
You don’t understand the 10A. Got it.
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Where is the part on abortion?
In the 14A & 9A
Your sister with a thing for black pudding will still be able to destroy the evidence before her husband finds out, as she always has. At worst, it’ll be a bit harder.
There won’t even be that many fewer abortions in the United States. 15 percent drop at most, by one calculation.
The Gilead panty-sniffers will now consider every miscarriage a potential crime scene.
Treat someone for ectopic pregnancy in Texas? Uh oh you might be sentenced to death for aiding and abetting murder.
Here is a song for Beto!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BYky67PB-4
The decision is absolutely correct. Roe v Wade was not.
Go find your safe space, snowflake!
Even the Notorious RBG thought that Roe v. Wade was a terrible decision, and she wasn’t exactly hostile to abortion on demand, always and forever, world without end, amen.
Can’t win on the economy. Might as well pay off or threaten SCOTUS to ‘threaten’ abortion and gay marriage to ‘get out the vote’ in November.
In reality, anyone that cares about these ‘issues’ has been jabbed multiple times and will have personal health issues to deal with soon.
Distractions. Just another distraction.
It’s only a distraction in Canada.
Isn’t it time that Justin did his running-away-from-everybody tour?
I love the fact that Westerners are aborting their future taxpayers and caregivers, while the Arabs and Africans (that so many Westerners disdain and discriminate against as ignorant -but useful – savages) … are not.
God clearly has a delicious wry sense of humour
Whom the gods wish to destroy, they first make mad.
Isn’t he in Rwanda right now?
The question is, will he identify as a Hutu or a Tutsi?
Rwanda had a mad spate of baby-killing a while back.
Justin doesn’t like black people or babies, so …
How many churches will be burned, how many Republican offices will be vandalized or destroyed, how many congresspeople will be physically attacked, how many SCOTUS judge’s homes will be mobbed and vandalized?
All to continue to kill unborn babies.
Just as Ukraine replaced Covid, Roe v Wade now replaces Ukraine.
Gotta love the American media.
No, it’s replacing $5 a gallon gas and skyrocketing inflation.
It’s a nothing issue when you can barely afford food.
Think of the kind of mind it takes to equate killing babies with good, and preventing the killing of babies with evil.
Now think of how many people have minds of that sort.
Babies suck. Feel free to ruin your own life with them and no one else’s.
You’re obviously not a parent, for which society may be profoundly grateful.
You are simply a festering pile of deceit and hatred that is destined to die alone – unlamented, unloved and missed by nobody. The earth will be a better place when you cease trodding upon it.
Most fitting of all, you will realize this only after it is too late to change things and perhaps then it becomes clear that not only did you invite this, but you truly deserve the fate you’ve wrought.
Bon voyage, eventually.
Nailed it.
Sad.
I wonder what the infant mortality rate really is, and consequently what the average lifespan really is when hundreds of thousands of lives/year are actually negative in duration.
Someone above said that this will make the upcoming elections harder for the GOP. They’re probably correct.
But . . . the conservative side has been avoiding doing what it believes to be right for decades, all in fear of losing the power to do what it thinks is right in the next election.
At some point, it’s time to make the leap. Otherwise, what’s the point of winning elections?
“what’s the point of winning elections?”
The political largesse!
I predict it won’t matter for the GOP at all.
White middle-class women don’t own this issue any more, and there are already a number of states who’ve said they’ll be sanctuaries for women wanting abortions literally until one attosecond before live birth, so there’s no national issue that’ll actually matter.
The mid-term slaughter of the Dems/lefties/progs will proceed apace.
“The mid-term slaughter of the Dems/lefties/progs will proceed apace.”
There wasn’t really a ton of reason to believe this would be an especially bad MT even before this insane decision. The national environment is tough for Team Blue but Team Red’s has some really BAD candidates. Keeping the senate is totally doable for the Democrats.
“Otherwise, what’s the point of winning elections?”
Apparently to brutally oppress women.
Margaret Sanger is weeping in her grave.
Her tears vaporize instantly. It’s hot in hell

There’s the old saying that Curiosity Killed the Cat. But I have to ask: Dear Resident Leftist Troll, Allan S, I’m seriously interested to know when you personally feel it is fine to abort a fetus:
– 1 day after conception?
– 1 week after conception?
– 1 month after conception?
– 3 months after conception?
– 6 months after conception?
– the day before a normal, healthy birth is to happen?
Different people have different views on this. I’m curious what your sincere opinion on this is.
Note: If you respond with, “it’s a woman’s right to decide”, then you are, in fact, stating that no time limits should apply.
I’m down with up to the moment of delivery and, if it’s retarded, just beyond.
I like your thinking oh Retard, why have you not given yourself that post birth abortion you so desperately seek?
Too Pussy?
Or you are just a feeble troll with no convictions to need the strength to live up to.
You’d have mingled well with attendees of the Wannsee Conference. They had fixes for the mentally handicapped as well as other undesirables they planned to eradicate.
What’s it like to live without a soul, anyway?
You’re diseased. Get help.
First of all, f— off, UNMe.
Kenji, do note how selective the “science” is.
It is important Roe was overturned, for the health of the US republic.
Roe attempted to create a new right from thin air. Once that precedent is set – or the abolition of any true, meaning, enumerated right like the Second Amendment – by a group of organized criminals masquerading as a political party, a landslide has been set in motion that will prove fatal to the US.
Now that Roe is gone, legislators elected by all the people, will determine abortion policy. Once people realize how other enumerated rights have been trampled by Congress, expect the people to demand more precedents to be overturned, such as court-created immunity of police and prosecutors, takings, regulation, etc.
If we are going to allow abortion maybe we should allow it up to the age of 18. That way parents can decide if they made a good choice or not and save the rest of us from the mayhem they may have caused. /Sarc off
Watch now as most states enact legislation that is very similar to the framework set out in RvW. (With some exceptions, of course.)
The point is, Blackmun acted as a King, not as a Justice of the USSC. He thought he was staving off a war within the US, and he very well might have at the time. But, this has led to uninformed people thinking that it is the job, the mission, of the USSC to “do good.” That is NOT its role in the US system. That’s for legislatures. The role of the USSC is to safeguard and empower the US Constitution. That is its only role, its only power.
The essence of the outrage over this new decision is that one side doesn’t feel it can win in all jurisdictions, and it is PO’ed. But that’s why the US was set up in separate states – so that differing peoples can enact differing governing systems and rules.
Several comments
1] I consider returning the decision about abortion to the States is legally correct. Not only is it the case that in a democracy no Court has the legal right to make a law, for law-making belongs only to the people via their elected legislatures, but neither the US federal legislature nor its federal court can make a law about abortion. Why not? Because there is nothing in the US Constitution that permits the federal institutions to deal with abortion. It can’t be found, even by tangling the 14th Amendment which refers only to civic protection from interference by the states. The Constitution is very specific about federal tasks [see Article 1, Sections 1-10. And Amendment 10 is equally clear, that any issue not given in the Constitution to the federal government – belongs to the individual States. Therefore, each State has the obligation to, in its legislative acts – make its own decision about abortion.
And, by the way, Amendments to the Constitution aren’t that easy to come by, requiring 2/3 agreement of all States.
2] On another issue – I find the argument over ‘what is life’ or ‘what is a human being’ rather odd. All mammalian species have gestation phases, moving from egg/sperm to embryo carried, normally, within a special internal site [womb] until birth. Therefore,. It’s absurd to say that an embryo is not a human being, since the very definition of the species necessarily, not possibly, but necessarily INCLUDES ALL gestation phases! Even in non-mammalian species, there are phases of development that must be included in the definition of the full species – a plant requires seeds; insects go through various generative phases..etc.
I am happy we live in a civilized country as Canada where universal access to abortion is permitted. I have always been pro-abortion. The Supreme Court has ruled that every person has the right to liberty and self determination, hence, a woman has the right to an abortion. Thankfully we don’t live in a draconian country like the USA.
T. P.
Pfft… Canada where you can abort, over using birth control and at no cost to your finances- no matter how many you get; gov funded but same GOV freezes your bank accounts for legally protesting in legal manner.
Sad we live in a banana republic …. thanks to liberals/progressives.
More power to all of us Liberals and Progressives. I wouldn’t call an illegal occupation of a city and blockades that restrict citizens from shopping, working or enjoying the tranquility of their own home a legal protest. They were the illegal activities of moronic idiots, many of whom will now have criminal records, if they already didn’t.
Thank god as a nation we pay for all health care, including abortions.
