  1. A license for beekeeping?
Heh…if you don’t want ’em in my back yard, then come and get ’em.

  2. I have become severely gluten intolerant many years ago and I have been making my own bread (Rice, tapioca, potato starch, sorghum, xantham gum).
My wife makes her own bread too (wheat) so we have a good stash of flours secured.
IMO the best bet to get through this shortage is to stock up on flour, buy a good quality dough mixer (or get an auto bread maker) and learn to make your own.
Will all the big restaurant chains run out too?…some will starve if McDonald’s or Dominos shut down…I bet anything, the big boxes will be spared.

  3. Wait until those city bees get a taste of pesticide living in the urban jungle. If I recall, at least in Ontario, a bee colony cannot be within a certain distance of a property line. This is how the urban beekeeping has been throttled. I seem to recall some news articles about roof top beeping, maybe in Hogtown?

  4. Urban livestock,eh?
I do believe “The Stranglers” covered that back in the 80s.
    (Meninblack) from The Raven Album.
And our very own Willy Pickton showed Vancouver, the way in the 2000s.
Puha and Pakeha AKA Long Pig, has always waited..

It is our backup plan for when central planning goes its normal route.
How many Jeffrey Dalmar’s already ply their depravity in our urban jungles?
For we whole heartedly believe absurdities,so atrocity is never far behind.
Justified by whatever ideology you need,to serve the situation..

Maybe all those reports of “missing children” have a very simple explanation?
    Tender .
    Sweet.
    Meat.
    After all,how would we know?

How does one spot a “civilized cannibal?”
I had a drug dealing friend years back, who sworn protective colours was where it was at.
So he drove a beautiful conservative car, wore expensive suits and carried fake ID,showing himself to be Dr XXXX.
    He never got busted.
Said it was quite charming how deferential the Cops would become, even for speeding tickets.
so what niche would an Urban Predator seek?
One where,”The food,it comes to you”.

Can you trust that Do-Gooder,the one so intrusively “trying to help you”??

Now our fearless leaders have been unable to provoke a nuclear war,so far..
They need a scapegoat to blame all these sickening and dying normies on.
Well a FAMINE would kinda sorta produce the same symptoms and allow the blame to be cast far from home.
And as a bonus, they will brag that the fact you died of starvation,is proof of the effectiveness of the “Clot Shots”.
After all,in times of famine the other horsemen are out in force..
    Nothing to see here,move along..
The fact that your belly skin is touching your backbone,is proof of how much we ,your “Leaders”, care for you.

  5. Backyard beekeeping? How about backyard bunnykeeping? Those cuties breed like, well, rabbits and taste like chicken. Can’t imagine bylaws would consider rabbits as livestock, just a quiet and fluffy pet. We’ll stick to moose and deer but that’s obviously not an option for everyone.

No wheat or grain isn’t a huge deal for me as I prefer low carb most of the time. With a diet of meat and vegetables, wheat and grains aren’t essential. Plant a garden and learn to preserve food, if you can.

  6. It sure would cure the obesity epidemic though.
    Silver lining and all that…….

  7. Yup, the government is gonna help beekeepers by regulating the shit out of them. I like how they say their regulations are going to help bees.

  8. The solution to world hunger was solved by the brilliant Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson years ago when he allowed homeowners to plant grain in their front yards and keep up to a dozen chickens in their back yards.
One minor flaw was that you weren’t allowed to snuff the clucker the old fashioned country method I used, which involved an axe and chopping block , but you had to take it to the nearest government approved facility in Langley, about 30 miles from d/t van, to have it snuffed and cleaned.
The chicken would have cost about $25 way back then, today probably closer to $100, what with Vancouver proudly charging the highest priced gas in North America.
Btw, does anyone know of a real small combine to harvest my wheat from my 28 foot by 20 foot city lot? Preferably electrically powered.

    1. Dad was born in Vancouver. His parents kept chickens also had a good vegetable garden. Fertilizer came courtesy of the horse drawing in the milk float. The runner beans reached up to the second floor of the house.

  9. L- The World Economic Forum has their own political police force. Maybe, they are more than
a coffee table discussion group ? If that Klaus fellow, with the jovial demeanor, if he were to play the villain, out to enslave/destroy the free world, in a James Bond movie. Would he win an Academy Award, simply for his ability to hide in plain sight? Ask William, perhaps, he can Tell.
“These aren’t the drones, you’re looking for!”

Is the destruction of Ukraine, simply foreshadowing? Have the dystopians fallen prey to the eternal delusion of being able to control complex systems at a whim? Or as the Greek’s used to call it, hubris ? To be continued…
