No Food For You

This is nuts at the best of times. But yes, during a global food shortage when we’re about to see record starvation in the third world, the Liberals want to punish Canadian farmers for growing too much food.

The Western Producer- Feds target cereals as major emitter

Ag Canada says cutting such emissions is critical because the federal government wants to reduce fertilizer related emissions 30 percent by 2030.

We must destroy the village to save the village.

Meanwhile over in Italy.

  1. We need to shut this stupid government down before they kill us all. Everyone who thinks CO2 is a climate driver and pollutant is a fool. The ignorance is astounding.

    1. No wonder they freaked out over the freedom convoy. This government needs to go before it’s too late. Something very nefarious is going on

    2. I’m not sure how they are gonna try to regulate this, but I’ll find a way to get around it if it requires selling pumpkins for Marijuana and converting it to USD and making moonshine to fuel a truck to haul it home. The black market and barter system is Canadians new best friend. Does composting a liberal qualify for carbon credits?

    1. When they start starving, freezing and dying and not before. And at that point, they are too weak to do anything. So generally never. And since killing in self defense is practically verboten in Canada, it strengthens my point.

  2. I love it!!! Every one of these pig-ignorant edicts brings Wexit another step closer. Harder, faster.

    1. I have lots of time in my retirement and so write letters to the various levels of government. Sadly, other than the satisfaction of venting, I think my written thoughts do not make any difference.
Based on family history, I have another 15 years left. Will Wexit happen in that time? SK and AB have been provinces since 1905 and confederation has NOT been a success for either province.

      1. The hardest part of corresponding with these crooked politicians and corrupt bureaucrats is keeping the tone civil. However, I end each and every one with that I will not accept a response composed of talking points. Thus, I never receive a response/

  3. No2 = 330 parts per BILLION in our atmosphere.

Perhaps mankind has become so smart that we’ve become dumb as a stone. We can measure the nth degree to the 9th power … yet use that data to punish ourselves based on unmeasurable theories.

PS … the single largest source of No2? … emission from NATURAL soil

    1. Well it starts out from lightning in thunderstorms. You know, that nitrogen cycle thingy. I guess Mother Nature needs to follow regulations and control her emissions

  4. I look forward to the first food riots in Toronto & Hongcouver. It’ll be a three popcorn bowl event. Then we can all watch Justin Antoinette tell his Butts-buddy “Let them eat cake”

Of course, if history repeats, then the real fun begins.

    1. For them, a botched Mary Stuart style execution is preferable than the efficiency of Madame Guillotine.

  5. “We must destroy the village to save the village”

The village will die saved. The jab can kill you but you’ll die vaccinated. Common sense was anything but common, now it’s going extinct.

  6. Why, if I didn’t know better, I might think that the government is trying to starve people to death.

  7. How long before you need a ration card to buy food?
And how long before that ration card is tied to your vaccination status?

    1. How long before a Sandman hunts you down when you don’t off yourself when you reach 30?

  8. What do you expect from a government that has nothing but contempt for any occupation that can be considered “vocational”, those in which people have to do actual hands-on manual work? It hates farmers, it hates tradesmen (when was the last time that Fruiteau was ever on a farm or construction site?). Why else are users of diesel fuel being punished with excessively high prices. Oh, yeah–to “save the planet”.

  9. I’ve never been the type to want a revolution, but Trudeau and his ilk belong on the end of a rope, following a trial by the public.

  10. This will also help to starve people:

the LNID serves approximately 200,000 acres of irrigated cropland, and provides water to much of Alberta’s feedlot alley, the largest concentration of cattle in Canada.

In 2002 the Piikani First Nation tried the same stunt and got $64 million:

Bet they want more this time!

  11. It’s as if Justine lives in another reality, every policy he and Singh enact just does more harm and the media never call them out on their incompetence. When media personel start starving perhaps then the urnalists will start reporting Trudy’s and Singh’s incompetence until then it’s just pro-justine fluff.

  12. “‘(There is a) need for reliable data to accurately measure fertilizer emissions and progress,’ said Troy Sherman, director of government relations with the Canola Council of Canada. ‘There are some major gaps in this space…. There has to be a dedicated effort to get that reliable data.'”

If Troy is serious about getting it, I have bad news for him. Reliable data that might embarrass the Powers That Be—on any subject—is either classified or costs a king’s ransom to acquire (along with a NDA ensuring that you’ll be ruined if you reveal it to anybody else).

The “official” data released by Western government agencies is so manipulated for propaganda purposes as to be useless for nearly anything else.

For example—who here seriously believes Canadian inflation was anywhere close to two percent these last 25 years?

  13. As is typical with these producer organizations, none of them ask tough questions of the government other than to query how they arrived at the conclusion that Canadian farmers produce more nitrous oxide than Europeans. If the Feds could somehow prove that this is indeed the case, would they just roll over and accept the edicts?

  14. The only answer is western separation now. As we can see the ROC is slowly killing our way of life and ability to feed ourselves and prosper.

  15. I could never understand why we subscribed to that Lieberal Party propaganda rag.

I commented on the essay that “Eliminating politicians and bureaucrats is the best way to stop the mythical green house gases.” It was blocked. The Western Producer is still a BS Lieberal Party propaganda rag.

  16. Government funding of research ensures that the elected sociopaths can direct seemingly endless volumes of currency to those tens of thousands of parasites with nothing better to do than delve into every aspect of productive endeavor and channel climate hysteria (or other crisis de-jour) towards a solution that reliably translates to less productive endeavor and more parasitism. The state, particularly at or near end-state democracy, is your enemy unless you are part of it. Having bought the “science”, the elected sociopaths can use the hysteria to persuade the Eloi once every few years to vote for the party that dispenses free stuff with the most gusto and support from the bought-off media thus securing a free hand at transforming hysteria to slavery and deprivation for the masses.

  17. We have reached the state where we can call bullsh*t a “fertilizer related emission”.

  18. Ties in with Trudeau’s biodiversity agreement. 30% of farm land is to be committed to preservation. Removing it from production will result in most of the fertilizer production emissions reductions required to meet the goal.

  19. A wise man once told his people to kill all the small birds, leaves more grain for us. Makes sense.

  20. Plane crashed into a food processing plant, along with a string of mysterious fires at food processing plants.
Plant processed a lot of Idaho potatos.
Looks like we are about to get that famine.

Timcast has a video on youtube, link keeps getting caught in the filter.

  21. These morons are too stupid to look at what happened in Sri Lanka when the gov reduced fertilizer by 30% .. but then again as far as I can tell Trudeau and Freeland are getting their marching orders from the WEF and to hell with the citizens of Canada

    1. Strange how that number, 30%, keeps coming up. I wonder if that is the size of the world population reduction they are looking for at least as a starting point?

Do bureaucrats talk to each other? Another bunch of mandarins want to increase the Canadian population to 100 million by 2100 from today’s 37 million. How will they be fed if fertilizer/grain/food/whatever is reduced by 30%? Perhaps this is where scrumptious bugs or soylent green will come in?
