What do you expect from a government that has nothing but contempt for any occupation that can be considered “vocational”, those in which people have to do actual hands-on manual work? It hates farmers, it hates tradesmen (when was the last time that Fruiteau was ever on a farm or construction site?). Why else are users of diesel fuel being punished with excessively high prices. Ties in with Trudeau’s biodiversity agreement. 30% of farm land is to be committed to preservation. Removing it from production will result in most of the fertilizer production emissions reductions required to meet the goal.
