The Corruption of American Churches

“Fascism” is the collaboration of the State and private businesses. Is there a word to describe of the collaboration of the State and religious organizations?

Whether these religious leaders are Roman Catholics or not, let’s hope they all find their way into a Catholic Church Confessional and sincerely express their regrets for propagating the lies they did. Or they could just publicly apologize and resign.

As for Francis Collins, he appears to have gotten away  with inflicting massive damage on millions of Americans and not paid any price.  What a loathsome individual.

  1. As an evangelical Christian I don’t follow the evangelical leadership on much. I try to follow Jesus instead. He is infallible. The evangelical leadership is just human and thus fully fallible.

      1. A theocracy is when the religion controls the state. In this case it’s the state controlling religion. As far as I know there is no name for that arrangement. State religion is the closest thing I can think of.

    1. churches? or as l stingingly spell it ‘chuches’.
of ALL ‘chuches’ lve attended over some 60 years (yep, well, off and on, so possibly PERMANENTLY off),
5 of them treated me like dirt. or in keeping with the topic, a leper.
3 of them no longer exist. my my my. now, according to these ‘caring carrrrISTIANS, He has the power to do that.

the LAST one (dual meaning there, ie *most recent* or possible means *last one ever*) l attended, the head pastor IMMEDIATELY AND RESOLUTELY refused to tell the ‘caring carrISTIANS’ congregation my beloved girlfriend passed away the previous Monday.
ummm, howcum howard? exact quote: “she didnt attend”. the 7th anniversary of these events are coming up in 2 weeks+ time.

      its a sensitive topic.

      goddanm bastards.

  2. My personal opinion is the current Pope is a total ASSHOLE and totally subservient to that failing globalization experiment.
    Is the Pope corrupted?
    Damn right he is.

      1. Mike T
I guarantee you the pope is NOT one of us atheists, he’s a communist , as many katholiks are. Katholiks in central America, south America, and Africa have been too friendly with the communists for several decades now, shit I stated following that trend back in the 1970T’s, when I was reading up on the JFK thing

          1. agreed. its a venn diagram with the ‘circle’ labelled ‘communist’ is totally within the ‘circle’ labelled ‘atheist’.

            maths is hard.

    1. As a faithful and practicing Catholic, I’d say that you are absolutely correct, and I am not alone in having this opinion.

      1. We need another John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Cardinal Zen and Cardinal Sarah.

It would not be the first time governments tried corrupting groups, as the former Soviet Union and various leftist American churches have shown.

          1. Technically, yes, but he has retired and we are wondering why Pope Francis doesn’t care about Chinese Christians.

  3. Given that churches charitable status is tied, particularly in the US, to NOT speaking on political issues from the pulpit (the alleged doctrine of separation of church and state), it is interesting that a federal government official would ask for that same position to be breached and the Left said absolutely nothing in retort because it served their agenda of control.

    1. The church in the US has a long history of engaging in politics even inviting satanic politicians to speak from their pulpit. The ‘leadership’ of the evangelical churches are more rock stars than honest preachers of the gospel. Many (not all) have strayed from the gospel message and offered what Christian “Cotton Candy”. It has the appearance of Christianity but in reality it is New Age nonsense. God in their twisted view stopped being God and transformed into a ‘fairy godfather’ who is there to grant their wishes. Compare Rick Warren and James Coates of Edmonton. James was put in jail while Warren was lauded as a hero.

      1. It’s not just those denominations that are like that. The Lutheran church, at least in Canada, became a branch plant of the Kremlin more than 40 years ago. There wasn’t a leftist doctrine or ideology that it didn’t like.

        1. Completely agree that the mainline churches strayed decades ago. I don’t consider them to be evangelical. Just my opinion.

          1. Just how far the Lutheran church has gone off the rails was made clear to me about 20 years ago. I was looking for a congregation which observed the traditional liturgy and was told that out of the many churches of my denomination here in the city, only two still used it.

I was greatly disappointed and haven’t attended services regularly since then.

          2. Not being a Lutheran and not really following the Lutheran internecine wars. I did have a hoot a few years ago. I was getting groceries and I noticed a woman coming out of the liquor store with a bag containing a bottle of some sort. I also noticed she was wearing a large wooden cross the kind the Anglican bishops wear. I watched as she jumped into her pickup truck, engaged her girlfriend with a very sexy prolonged kiss then drove off. I later found out the woman was indeed the Anglican bishop and yes she was gay. I don’t know how the Anglican church is doing but I suspect it is on the verge of disappearing as a functioning church.

          3. JTA:

In my experience, the Lutherans in western Canada tend to fall into two camps. There are the super-liberals, like many in Lotusland, who think that if you’re not a commie or a poof, there’s something wrong with you and you’re going to hell. On the other side are the pietists, many of Scandinavian descent, who are so devout that they think that sex standing up leads to dancing.

Neither seem particularly enamoured with the traditional liturgy. The liberals consider it “old” and “stodgy” and, like communists everywhere, has to be discarded. That’s why the dreadful Chicago Folk Mass is popular with them. The pietists don’t like the traditional liturgy because it sounds too “Catholic” to them.

Over the years, I’ve run afoul of both.

          4. Kenji:

I find it odd that such “preversions” (thank you, Col. Guano–Dr. Strangelove) are more readily accepted than a display of heterosexuality would be.

Many years ago, I belonged to a congregation in which certain people would have gladly re-introduced burning at the stake with me being the guest of honour. Why? They found out that I had swimsuit calendars on the walls of the place I was living in….. calendars that even my mother–a former Sunday School teacher–approved of.

Yeah, it was one of the “sex standing up can lead to dancing” churches that I referred to earlier.

  4. “Evil” is what I would call it, personally. That Collins is precisely a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Imagine promoting the slaughter and experimentation of little people made in God’s image and trying to pass yourself off as a follower of Christ. He’ll get a big surprise on judgement day.

  5. Where the ‘hell’ are Canadian Christians?

Seeing the earlier story here on Trudeau sucking even more muslim d*ck, I was immediately reminded of how Christians have generally just shrugged their shoulders about all of the recent church burnings in Canada. And that’s before we even get to the topic of the state forbidding services and arresting pastors.

“68 Christian churches in Canada have been vandalized, burned down or desecrated since the announcement last month of the apparent discovery of graves found near a residential school in Kamloops, BC.” – Aug, 2021

    https://tnc.news/2021/08/23/a-map-of-every-church-burnt-or-vandalized-since-the-residential-school-announcements/#:~:text=68%20Christian%20churches%20in%20Canada,residential%20school%20in%20Kamloops%2C%20BC.

I am the last person to defend the current scumbag pope, but laying most of the blame at his feet seems pretty damn disingenuous, to my mind. The rot and malaise in all of the great institutional churches has seemingly reached all the way down to many in their flocks, too.

As an atheist, 90% of my friends and family are Christian and I would stand beside any of you to defend your right to worship unimpeded, but if you guys apparently don’t give enough of a shit to take some action, why should I then care about it?

Somebody better call the waaaaaaambulence because Christians are being dissed again. For ‘chrissakes’… stand up and fight back ya wusses!

    1. So much for the exhortation of the hymn to “Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldier of the Cross.”

      1. BA,
We would welcome you to the Catholic congregation, should you choose to visit. We seem well able to tolerate local congregations who (in sometimes fire-breathing fashion) deviate from the direction received from Rome. In my mother’s congregation in North Carolina, the priests have been raging from the pulpit that no one should submit to Covid vaccination; and remarkably they did so long before all the obvious side effects of these vaccines emerged.
I hope you’re well and thriving.

    2. We did stand. You’d know that if you were at the hill in February, and look what happened to us.
Just what is it you expect us to do? The media keeps burying the scandalous church desecrations, as they keep burying pro-life protests.
We’re up against a wall, so if you have any strategic advice to offer, I’m willing to listen.

As for us doing something else, we are. We are praying. We are praying every day. As an atheist, though, I wouldn’t expect you to understand our faith in the power of prayer.

      1. My husband and I are believing praying Christians . We do not have a church family but we do have Jesus Christ in our hearts and pray daily for our nation and for our leaders. There are a multitude of people out here in Canada that are like us . The church as it is known to most people is useless. They are not teaching the doctrine of Christs salvation ,but telling people what they want to hear. There is a terrible day of retribution coming.

        1. It’s not the first time people have it had it easy and forgotten what they should not forget.

    3. C O
I’m with you on that, many of my friends, and most of my family , are (pro-port to be) christians. And many are socialist lovers.

        1. More precisely, “liberation theology” and the “social gospel” are. Their implementation is a violation of the Commandment against theft.

  6. The word is “theocracy” and it isn’t just being employed to further Covid Stalinism but CAGW and other green doctrinaire “belief” because it is pure faith-based and corrupted science-driven. It’s also employed to allow shariah to metastasize in formerly secular democracies. Green theocracy is paired with fascism in most bankrupt welfare states.

  7. Follow Jesus directly. Your church is two or more of you gathered in his name. That can be in your living room once a week. Or it could be over Zoom in a pinch. You don’t need a cathedral or a man in a pointy hat.

  8. Churches have been corrupt from the get go.
Just read the book of Acts, or Revelation of John of Patmos when he criticizes the churches.
Oh, and how about the history of Christian churches. The schisms, etc.
God does not dwell in temples made by man.

  9. Let’s see know, what have the leaders of our churches rendered unto Caesar?

    Their dignity… check
    Their vows… check
Their duty to speak out against evil … check
Their obligations to protect people …check
    Etc, etc….

    1. My thoughts exactly, Jamie. I have been so angry with our church leaders rendering unto Caesar that which was God’s, namely the gift of free will.

At least now I can choose not to wear a mask during Mass just as the majority of my fellow parishioners choose to continue wearing masks, and keep their distance. The irony is that, as Christians, we are to no longer fear death; He conquered death. Be not afraid? They’re still terrified.

I am grateful that my Catholic church re-opened a while back while the Protestant churches in my area were still closed and Zoom-worshipping. They are just beginning to re-open but require masks.

As the saying goes, “nobody wants to die but everybody wants to go to heaven.”

      1. I was talking to a Catholic a week or so ago. He dropped out of the church recently because the priest wore a mask during mass. He was infuriated that the priest held the Blood of Christ and the Body of Christ but which should have warded off all evil yet the man was afraid of a virus?

      2. I find it mind boggling that any church anywhere would still be closed , or just beginning to re-open, or requiring masks or having ANY Covid restrictions. WHY? They obviously have great faith, don’t they. My church, like most where I live in the Midwest (and there are many dozens of them) opened without restrictions LAST Easter. But my church also faithfully proclaims the gospel of Christ.

  10. “While Satan does appreciate evil thoughts, evil deeds are the meat and drink of Satan’s work.”
    -Dave Thomas.

Now, who exactly is it that is interfering with supply chains, shutting down small businesses and printing money at breakneck speeds? Who is actually doing evil deeds?
Sure, the Pope is a woke ahole, but I don’t see him sending out stormtroopers to trample little old ladies, shut down businesses and stop pipelines from being built.

    1. “Sure, the Pope is a woke ahole, but I don’t see him sending out stormtroopers to trample little old ladies, shut down businesses…”

But that’s not his job. His job is to speak out LOUDLY against those evils. And he – along with all other Western religious leaders – has spectacularly failed at that.

And if they had done that job in the first place, none of this shit would have happened.

  11. I notice Trudeau has observed Ramadan; I await his observation of Lent.

      1. I don’t think he has any religious inclination of any kind. He believes himself to be a self-made man and he worships his creator. Any display of spirituality is pure political theatre–let’s not forget what his former occupation was.

  12. Remember the old tag line?
Do bears shit in the forest? Is the Pope………..???? Hey wait a minute!

  13. Matthew 7: 21-23. NIV

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

    Jesus speaking.

  14. Matthew 28:16-20 NIV

16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus gave us one job, making disciples. Not climate, equality, politics, or anything else dragged into the church by the busybodies.

Also dragging unbiblical teachings to the church leads others only to hell.

  15. ““Fascism” is the collaboration of the State and private businesses.”

That is not an accurate description of fascism. In theory at least, fascism is a type of socialism where there is no private business. As practiced by Hitler and Mussolini, fascism tolerated private business, but it was in no way a collaboration. Private businesses had no say in the fascist regimes, and any opposition to the government was met with takeovers and worse.

  16. John 18:36. Jesus said to Pilate: “My Kingdom is not of this world”. This is why political pronouncement from the pulpit should be very limited. Our focus as Christians is to be on the Kingdom of Heaven and not down here on earth. There are times when they seem to overlap such as the warning on the mark of the beast found in Revelation 13. Now that digital ID’s are about to roll out, the mark of the beast is not far away.

    1. That statement of Jesus’ can be, and often is, misinterpreted, leading to, as someone had said, “being so heavenly minded as to be no earthly good.”

  17. […] Is there a word to describe of the collaboration of the State and religious organizations?[…]

    mmmhhh…Satanism?

  18. Don’t be fooled by names like “Christianity Today” or “Billy Graham” whatever. Billy Graham founded CT, but that and pretty much any other tangible legacy is not serving the Lord Jesus Christ who Billy so widely proclaimed. Billy’s true legacy is the many people who put their faith not in him, but in Christ. His son Franklin continues Christ’s command of obedience to Christ and proclaiming the Gospel.

And I really thank the Lord for pastors like Artur Pawlowski and James Coates.
When the truckers were still on the way to Ottawa, I posted on Facebook:
    The Church wouldn’t come together
    to stand against evil
    So the Truckers did
    GOD BLESS THE TRUCKERS!

I didn’t realize at the time how true this would prove to be.
    GOD BLESS THE TRUCKERS!

    1. Totally agree re: Pawlowski and Coates. There are others like them, but not nearly enough. Every person who is a pastor or priest should have that kind of faith and courage.

  19. Your definition is off. Fascism is not an alliance of business and government, it’s the unification of all of society’s institutions, business, labour, the church, everything, under the state. It’s basically communism except the state controls without directly owning. It’s the Progressive movement’s Third Way. It’s roots are in the Italian trade union syndicate movement (the original “Fascia”).

  20. The “World Council of Churches” seemed to be an operation run out of Lubyanka.

Here in Oz a LOT of people walked away from mainstream churches in the 1960s and ’70s. Not because they had lost their faith, but because the “faith leaders” were obviously going off songs and appeared to have NO intention of ever “flying straight” again.

Revolutionary Theology” was ALWAYS about “the Revolution” and ITS “theology”.

  21. church and state, politics and religion, televangelists, counterfeit church, popes, etc, dear SDA, a suggestion:

draw upon the most objective, analytical position you can, and see if there is ‘overlap’ in the prophesies of an unlivable chaotic world to come, aaaaand current trends.

lve already done it and continue to do so.

this time around, unlike the jehovah witlesses of times past, it IS different, on many fronts, technology, biology, finance, the weather, military actions kinda, politics, etc. NOT just some sort of really bizarre ‘wishful thinking’.
