The Libs are doing what every totalitarian government does, they’re cementing their control of the military so that when the time comes they know that their order to fire on Canadian citizens will be followed. The only reason why the police were used against the truckers was because the rank and file soldiers would never have consented to it. They’re having more difficulty than normal recruiting because everyone can see where it’s all going, soon the only people left wearing our nations uniform will be those who are considering politically reliable and willing to follow any order given.

  4. What is laughable is the notion the Canadian military can stop citizens or anyone else from rampaging in Canada. Can we even field a brigade? Now a brigade of woke dummies who likely can’t shoot worth a damn. i’ll put $500 on the hunters and farmers.

      2. Get airguns while you can, they are next on the banned list. Went to get one at Canadian Tire (to use as Buddy pointed out), fellow told me stock is way down and they are reluctant to replace as they may get stuck with them. Inquired with the Police as to best way to transport, they told me not to buy it as I will get into trouble even if I didn’t do anything wrong. All it takes is a man with gun call and they respond with SWAT. I bought it anyway, I’ll just wait for the knock on the door a few years from now. How will they know I have one….same way Amazon knows I have a 27” iMac, year, IP and all even though I have never used it in any way to communicate with Amazon.

  5. Meh… The CAF & DND are experts at giving lip service to this sort of garbage and simply carrying on. I lived through a lot of iterations, including the infamous and utterly futile Op Honour (or as we immediately termed it, Hop on Her). A few careerist dingbats are going to make a big deal out of it. Most are going to sigh, figure out ways of pleasing bosses disconnected from reality while doing as little about it as possible and carry on trying to accomplish a dozen different things at the same time. Still, I’m glad I retired from this crap a few years back and missed the latest woke vomitus like GBA+

    Soon, the generals and executives who came up with this crap will move on and something else will become the flavour of the day.

  7. The pusification of Canadian military is purposeful. Libranos would much rather replace Canadian Armed Forces with paramilitary police organizations and antifa stormtroopers who are loyal to the party. Classic fascist MO. They can’t overtly do it, so they are slowly neutering the military, while at the same time empowering the forces loyal to them.

    We’re not. Two different issues.

      1. I disagree. I think we’re nowhere near. Outside of Ukraine it is an economic war not a military war*. Neither side has any apatite to expand the frontlines. Russia would not be in this mess to begin with, if their initial intel assessments were not written by Pootin’s sycophants who promised him an easy PR victory like Crimea or Georgia. Pretty much from day 2 of the war russians were playing damage control. All of their initial plans went to shit and they have been regrouping, stepping over each other’s toes, throwing knee jerk assaults and suffering heavy loses while simultaneously grinding Ukrainians down with their sheer numbers. They’re already stretched, in no position to expand much further and none in Europe wants a shooting war with russia.

        *And an economic war, that despite idiots in this thread cheerleading for Pootin, russians are loosing badly. And a war that will force Europe to free itself from dependence on russia in the long run. The only future for russia is a slide into even deeper poverty and dependence on Chicoms … then the demographic collapse and a civil war.

  10. 40 years ago I was in the Canadian reserves with some blacks and Indians (feather). Nobody would have tolerated any hint of racism and not because anyone told us. There were also some women. Every one of them should have flunked basic training because of physical inability. Of course not one of them flunked.

    The stupidity is they train men and women together but apply a different standard. Pisses off a large number of men.
