  1. Russian state media reported Wednesday that the Ukrainian soldiers that were caught on camera torturing the POWs have been identified and captured by Russian special forces, the Spetsnaz, at least according to a leading lawmaker.

The chairman of the Defense Committee of the State Duma Vladimir Shamanov made the announcement that the militants responsible for the torture are now at the mercy of Russia’s special forces.

“The joy of [those who] tortured our servicemen did not last long – three days after [the video of tortures emerged] our special forces captured these bastards. Now they are begging for mercy,” Shamanov said, adding that at least two of the individuals who were captured were “radicals.”

The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet confirmed Shamanov’s claims.

    1. That site, like yourself, is no doubt owned and operated by the Open Society Foundation, thats probably why its impossible to find out who owns the site, and the site has no “about us” page, nada, even anonymized their who is lookup.
That site actually called the Open Society Foundation funded maidanist revolution of 2014 “Ukraine’s Revolution of Dignity”

      In their own words:

      Some facts:
      https://headlineusa.com/soros-claims-large-role-in-helping-install-current-ukrainian-regime/

An Afghani Pashtun (you, the ones that like catemites) named mustafa nayyem was on Soros’ payroll.

      1. So in other words, because another site was owned by someone, this site must be owned too and I must be owned too, something, something Soros. And therefore the information that is inconvenient for your narrative is false. Got it.

BTW YeahWell, everyone knows it is you.

      2. BTW, just out of sheer curiosity, is it possible to disagree with you and not be owned by Soros?

        1. Is it possible to call out every last shred of Ukrainian lies and propaganda and not be called a Putin lover?

          GOTCHA

          1. Absolutely, as soon as you manage to form a coherent argument, which so far haven’t happened. Face it, you have limits. Severe limits. You’re much better off posting memes than trying to formulate thoughts.

Know your limit, play within it, shortbus.

  2. It’s a very elaborate fake if that’s what it is. I think it’s real. As for what weapons are in the video, the suppressors and magazines on the black rifles seen in the beginning of the video indicate likely AK74s (5.45mm). The weapon used to shoot the last man out of the van I think is an AK103 (7.62mm) based on the curvature of the magazine. I’ve never shot a 5.45 but lots of .223 (same ballistics roughly) and 7.62×39. Neither of these rounds has much recoil compared to say a 12 gauge or .308.

A blogger in Kharkiv reported a day or 2 back that at least 2 people in Kharkiv told him the incident happened at a “milk factory” 25 km SE of Kharkiv. However it’s not that far out unless you measure right from the center of the city.

    1. This has Maskirovka written all over it. An extremely convenient story aimed at diverting attention from russian barbarity.

  3. And that is why I don’t take ANYTHING I see coming out of that region at face value. I qualify all my comments with “If true, then…”

I’ve had to learn that lesson too many times the hard way. I DON’T BELIEVE ANYTHING coming from EITHER SIDE, until I GET SOME SOLID VERIFICATION.

I’m not sure I’ll accept this BBC report at face value either. Right in the article, it quotes two doctors…
    —–
He said: “It is my opinion that the footage cannot be categorized as ‘fake’ purely based on the images seen. This requires an investigation for war crimes.”
Another doctor said: “It appears genuine… these meet the description of punishment shootings to the limbs”.
    —–

The conclusion appears to be “we’re not sure.” The article suggests that a war crimes investigation will be needed to determine authenticity.

So there you go. The Fog of War is at it again. Don’t go rushing into conclusions. Don’t make any rash judgements based on what you see in “initial reports” by the lying media… from either side!

  4. If the Ukrainians shoot prisoners, than the Russians will not be willing to surrender and become prisoners, and will keep fighting. You want them to surrender and stop shooting nasty sharp bullets at you. Now they wont.

Sure, you feel a brief rush then you express your hatred, then you lose the war and your state. Was it worth it?

In WWII, during the Battle of the Bulge, the Germans shot some prisoners. It lost them the battle. The Americans would then refuse to surrender, and held out until help arrived, and then routed the Germans, now, with extra vigor and enthusiasm.

Oh, and there is video evidence of Ukrainians torturing captured Russian soldiers, thus, I expect the Russians to keep fighting. That is not in the interests of Ukraine.

  5. I admit I do not understand the term “war crimes” as the winners are never prosecuted which suggests only the losers commit war crimes.

  6. As someone who has seen combat. Only believe 10% or less of what you are told. From either side.

  7. So you’re in combat for a month, tired, dirty, war has lost its noob excitement, you look forward to months or years.

So why shoot POWs in the legs? What are you going to do now, carry them? Before they could walk from a vehicle to a holding pen. But, now what?
They’re going to talk. They’re going to tie up medical care. They’re going to sht piss themselves on a stretcher.
You lost them as trade goods for your guys captured.
You didn’t shoot them in the heat of battle.

I don’t get the real world motivation.

Another point. 5.56, 7.62, whatever. You know if you shoot those guys, laying on concrete….what happens to the still high velocity round? Its going to bounce off the concrete. Somewhere. I don’t think anyone of your guys standing near would be too happy.

At that distance any of those rounds are going to produce a Coke can diameter pulp wound though the muscle mass. Near vessels are going to burst and bone shock wave busted into chunks. You very easily have burst arteries, with massive pain and bleed out. Individual could well be histerical, crying., Shock followed by death.

    1. The “real motivation” is easy: hatred (and the idea they won’t get caught).

The 7.62 and 5.45 are low energy rounds compared to what is used for hunting, so if your assumptions on what the wounds will be are based on hunting they’re probably incorrect. These rounds are less than half the muzzle energy of .30-06, .308, or .270. As for the the bullets “bouncing off the concrete” the only 2 people shot on camera are standing when they are shot, not laying down, but in any case if the bullets hit bone I don’t think they will be “still high velocity”.

My assumption is there was never any intent to let these POWs live after they were made to suffer for the gratification of their captors, and so most of your logic on why this video is fake is wrong. However, the psychopaths who are committing these war crimes are probably pretty happy they have an army of “don’t believe your lying eyes” apologists in western countries.
