  1. It is extraordinary that the weaponization of trade and finance by the U.S. and its allies has forced India and Russia to contemplate resurrecting this Cold War trading mechanism.

Let me rephrase … The idiot leftist cabal pulling Bidinh’s strings are extraordinarily stupid. … or … intentionally sabotaging Western Nations.

  2. There is a direct correlation between countries who sanctioned Russia and countries that are self-destructing through enviro-idiocy, woke stupidity, COVID fascism, globalism, and other social justice nonsense.

  3. Let’s be real here, India and China are only serving their self interests. China has a history of aging both sides of the coin. No doubt they encouraged the invasion knowing it would weaken Russia. Did you forget about Lavrovs plane doing a u turn when it was more than half way to China?

The reality is 8 of the top 10 biggest economies have severe sanctions on Russia.

    1. The reality is that sanctions will not hurt anyone but ordinary people everywhere. The question becomes, is this a flaw or a feature of the plan?

      1. @Just Sayin’ – “The question becomes, is this a flaw or a feature of the plan?”

        Bingo!

Only fools are making opinionated stands on who is winning or losing on this geopolitical 4 dimensional chess board.

There are a ton of holes in the western narrative and we only get a little uncensored coverage of the Russian narrative, usually well picked releases by western interests.

What seems obscure to me is the western narrative that Russia has blundered it’s way into a quagmire with outdated & dilapidated small conventional equipment “bogged down in the mud” with 120K poorly trained troops. Yet it’s well known that Russia has plenty of new top of the line equipment and a military at least +900,000 strong. They have yet to utilize the truly “heavy” arms that they are known to posses.

Take from it what you will, but not is all what it seems in 4 dimensional chess for a reason. It is for those reasons many self proclaimed “experts” should STFU before declaring victories that have not happened. Any chess game above amateur fakes the opponent into a trap. A master player will allow an opponent to set a trap and then trap the opponent within his own trap.

Just say’n, it ain’t over until the fat lady sings.

        1. A crapload of propaganda is all that our media is putin’ out 24/7. People are absolutely giddy about war! Woo hoo! The Russians wouldn’t be painted into a corner and do something unthinkable, would they? Nah, can’t happen here. And if it happens, we can sooth ourselves by knowing who to blame. Now Biden is insisting on regime change in Russia because it’s worked so well everywhere else. Yeah that ought to cool things down. What we need is regime change in the West. Trudeau and Biden? Spare us your presence!

    2. As DeGaulle famously said, “No nation has friends, only interests.” Any government not acting in the interests of its people is, de facto, acting against them. Canada has no interests in the Ukraine. Even NATO has no interests in the Ukraine. Yet both are provoking Russia. I’d rather my government be like India’s, serving Canada’s interests and not engage in US-driven neo-connery. And no, I don’t care about the Ukrainians any more than I care about the Yemenis, Syrians, Iraqis, and all of the other people getting fucked over.

    3. Let’s be really real, does boycotting Russia, serve Canada’s or the U.S’s. self interest?

Is backing a nuke armed bear into a corner a good idea?

Do our elected or appointed leaders serve us, do they have our best interests at heart or do they take marching orders from a global conglomerate?

      1. @jiminalaska – “Is backing a nuke armed bear into a corner a good idea?”

It’s funny because the same “Liberal Progressive” War Hawks begging for escalation with Russia are the first to cry about making deals with North Korea and Iran because they have 0-3 nukes or may acquire some one day.

    4. You hit on an occasional truth in the drivel you spew.
“Let’s be real here, India and China are only serving their self interests.”

Damn shame our Dear Leaders are not serving our national best interests.
Unless you believe bankruptcy and slavery are in the “best Interests” of Canadian Citizens..
If we were to go to war, with Russia over Ukraine, what would Canadians be fighting for?

      1. Obama told America to get off her “high horse”. More accurately … Obama (who is currently serving his third term as POTUS) is doing everything in his power to knock America off her “high horse”

Anyone who describes American success as a “high horse” has mental problems.

    5. Kind off. Russia and chicoms have always been enemies of civilization. India has never been a friend of civilization either. Just because they have problems with mooselimbs or chicoms, does not make them friends. They never were. Throughout the Cold War, India was a great friend of Soviets. West continues making mistakes trying to marry one turd worlder that does not like another turd worlder instead of playing them against one another.

P.S. India should have been nuked and put in its place when it attacked Portugal decades ago.

P.P.S., The positive externality of this war is that civilized will be forced to realize that they are a minority and that non civilized hate them nearly universally. Proceed accordingly. I expect that a lot of ecomentalist and woke initiatives will get flushed out of necessity sooner than later.

We need a new Cold War to rebuild the West.

Now, there is statement that everyone will disagree with.

  4. Russia, India and China are shithole countries. Why they are shithole countries has little to do with politics as openly played. They are shithole countries because they are corrupt to the core.

    1) The US is corrupt but the Clintons and Bidens steal is small change compared to the other countries.
    2) The people in the US are much smarter and better educated.
    3) The US has a relatively fair business justice system where facts determine the largest part of any decision.

No matter how hard the shithole world tries they will never accomplish anything close to what the US has accomplished.

    1. You keep telling yourself that. Trillions of dollars in debt but we are not as corrupt as them? It’s a giant Ponzi scheme and this is all part of it.

    2. @scar

That is a fairly narrow view of the world. Yes, those countries are shitholes, as is many parts of the US today. Calling them less educated is pretty shallow considering that hundreds of thousands educate themselves in US universities and millions around the worlds Universities before returning home. Most of Eastern, South Asian leaders and many of their military command graduated Oxford or some other prestigious European University.

I have walked through slums in India and some of the poorest parts of mainland China with no concerns of personal safety but would not do the same in many US inner cities without real concern.

Of course corruption exists in every government around the world, it’s naive to think that Western corruption is somehow “small change” compared to anywhere else. US politicians like the Clinton’s are incredibly rich with blood money from the deaths and overthrow of governments. This isn’t rubber-stamping passports for a few hundred bucks, they are about wiping out villages, wedding parties, and school buses with drones kind of kickbacks.

      1. The average American has 16 years of education while the average Indian has 6 or less?. 1/4 are illiterate. Most Americans have a valuable skill. Most Indians have none. There is no secret sauce. Uneducated people in corrupt countries are poor. Politics changes nothing.

        1. @scar – LOL

You obviously aren’t paying attention to the tech sector and imported talents from India & China, nor the failing Public education that average Americans enjoy today. ” Uneducated people in corrupt countries are poor” – indeed.

With well over 1/2 the world population living somewhere in “Asia” North, South, East, you mistake PBS documentary’s on slums with the exponentially growing middle class populations in Asia that easily outstrips the declining American middle class in shear numbers.

Asian & Middle Eastern cities across China, Singapore, Japan, Kuala Lampur, Dubai, Riyadh etc…make most American cities look like left over dumps from the 20th century. They are currently developing heartily while many prominent American cities are in full decline.

I’m not happy with that fact, far from it, but that is the reality and not a good position for any of us in the west to be in.

    3. US is reserve currency. That papers over a shltload of problems. When that is gone, and destruction of US reserve status is reason #1 for Russia/Ukraine, USA is defanged and declawed and economically destroyed. And quickly.

Without reserve status USA can no longer project power as it once did.

Not even a shot fired on US soil and it will be defeated.

    4. Bravo scar, exactly right.

Only idiots romanticize shitholes. Only traitors and saboteurs encourage immigration from there.

  5. And yet in ten years from now, the US, as it currently stands, will no longer exist. It will fragment, balkanize, call it what you will, but its day is done. Parts of the US now resemble third world countries, and those are run by politicians who are corrupt to the core. LA is a shithole. SF is a shithole, Seattle is a shithole. Detroit is a shithole.

But Russia, India, and China, for all their faults, will endure. Why? Nationalism. Diversity is almost done killing the US. And it will kill Canada.

    1. @Nostradamus – “But Russia, India, and China, for all their faults, will endure. Why? Nationalism.”

      Yup 100%.

  6. As Western countries look for a distraction from the waning epidemic, other countries look to profit.

    Everyone loves a war.
