The only time the Conservatives have held power for the last fifty years is when the LPC, NDP and or Bloc has split the vote to allow the permanently minority-supported Conservative party to achieve fleeting power while warming the benches for the LPC. The left learned their lesson under the horror (to them) of the Harper years which was a political anomaly. The only variable now is how much fascism, green theocracy, and fiscal incontinence can the Laurentian elite stand before the mindless mushy middle that pay ever increasing taxes turn the LPC away from their permanently bankruptcy-seeking NDP bedmates. They would have to cancel the Spawn-Fuhrer to do that. Given the swollen yet growing public sector, we may just continue the march to Venezuelan levels of bankruptcy and statist tyranny.

    Keep them hidden if you still have them, you may need them in the not so distant future.

      The conservative voters did not believe they where offered anything to vote for or believed that the options they had were too extreme by those that would never vote conservative.
      They have gotten this way because of a history of conservative leaders ditching conservative policy instead of deconstructing liberal policy.
      There are about a third of the eligible vote that doesn’t vote and more than enough options on the left and then the CINO’s I make the presumption the votes that don’t show up do so because there isn’t a conservative on the ballot.
      Do the math.
      Just half of that vote is 15%.
      Last election the CPC got ~33%, that’s the ones that show up because they are even willing to vote for an OToole.
      Get someone that is willing to take the media to the woodshed on day one and start defending those looking for a conservative on the ballot.

    Think about it for just a moment.
    What exactly is the difference between what the liberals want to do and what the NDP and Greens want to do?
    I’ll just wait for a few days for someone to answer that.

    Conservatives should now feel comfortable campaigning as conservatives.
    Red Tory’s and blu liberals however need to decide whether they want continue with the pretentiousness of trying to be transpolitical.
