  3. The CBC news Saturday afternoon was framing it as possible hate crime, then ended the storey with the suspects name.

  8. I did a search on Bing for “Canadian mosque worshippers attacked with bear spray cbc” and Small Dead Animals was the 8th choice in the list of choices on the first page. The “CBC” was not in the top ten or first page. Good for SDA beating for the billion dollar (plus) per year CBC.

    I searched Google and it showed me ABC (the article linked by Kate) first and CBC second and no SDA on the first page of search results.

  9. The first “news” reports did not include the perps name and now It’s found in the last sentence of the report.(which always means It’s Muhamad.)
    Just like if a politician’s news story doesn’t include the political party affiliation, it’s a bad story about a Liberal / Democrat or a good story about a Con. / Republican.
    This story was another great example of the media’s bias weaselyness.
    Everything is a psyop, now and there is no “news”, because we’re racist and stupid and they’re our intellectual and moral superiors and therefore they must change us.

  10. This reminds me of when a defenceless and vulnerable old Asian woman was targeted and attacked in a hate crime in NYC.(This happens all too often in our neighbour to the south)

    The legacy news media mentioned the attack took place in a predominantly white neighbour, which it did. They did not identify the origin of the attacker, however, as it would have ruined their narrative.

    No one can ever accuse legacy ‘journalists’ of letting hard facts interfere with the story they want to tell.

  12. Democracy is becoming more and more difficult to govern. It’s complicated by diversity, too many don’t respect differing views or laws put in place to keep people free to live their lives in safety.
    Too many don’t get the concept, live your life in freedom under the rule of law and mind your own damned business….live and let live.
    We might also add, choose the people you want to govern with careful consideration, pay attention, do your own research, we have lots of sources to do it. Surely we’ve learned nice hair is not a qualification.

  13. The National Post is still allowing comments on its story about the “incident”. There are many excellent ones, but they will all upset Chairman Ju and his disciples. Some of my favourites:

  14. The perp arrested is Mohammad Moiz Omar. The loyal presstitutes will further explain why he is a white supremacist and not just a member of a Muslim sect that opposes the one he attacked. Like Sunni vs. Shia.

  15. I know more than a few Muslims who are good, decent people. I don’t pretend to be an expert about Islam itself.

    Islam cannot be anymore judged by it’s extreme elements anymore than Christians can, by say, The Westboro Baptist Church.

    The problem is that our politicians and legacy media do tie in Christians to their extremist elements, while, rightfully not doing the same with other religions.

    It’s the double standard that conservatives and Christians find repugnant.

    1. It’d be good for you, Mr. Canuck, to do a statistical analysis of the demographics of the two religions. A simple normal distribution of the beliefs and actions of their adherents, and the societal results of their religions, on a world-wide basis (not just Canada) would show that the “extremist” Muslims are relatively close to the mean (average) while the “Christian” extremists are very much outliers. But that makes sense if you would go the extra mile, as your note says you haven’t, and judge the religions by the directives of their founders. Mohammed told his followers to kill the infidel, Jesus told his to love others as themselves.

  17. The bear spray is confusing me in this story. The men who were praying were facing away from the attacker when he sprayed them. They had to turn around to see what was going on. It seems odd to me that someone with a hatchet would start using bear spray when no one was facing him. I think there are some details missing here.

  19. Just a while ago, I was reading the ticker tape news on CTV which mentioned the attack but absolutely no mention who the perp was. Then I flipped to CNN and their ticker tape news did mentioned the perp’s name and I was relieved it was a ‘Mo’ sand monkey. It’s not often CNN mentions Canada, I was all excited. I was also relieved it was not a white red neck. (oh yeah ok, there is no other kind of ‘red neck’).

  22. The alleged assailant has now been charged, but all references to a hate crime have disappeared from the press reporting:

    “Mohammad Moiz Omar, 24, was charged with assault with a weapon, administering a noxious substance with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering a threat to cause death or bodily harm, carrying a concealed weapon and mischief to religious property.

    Police said he was held for a bail hearing and appeared in court in Brampton.”

  23. This incident of a muslim attacking a mosque has now replaced the Russian invasion of Ukraine in the news. Justin Competent’s chosen people can not be messed with.
