No. Putin is not mad. Neither are his people.
They are angry—furiously angry—at the way they and their country have been treated by western elites for the last 100 years.
More to the point, they are finally angry enough to do something about it.
75 percent of them, minimum, are ready to nuke us and be done with it.
If that un-nerves you, ask yourself: why shouldn’t they?
The western globalists won’t stop till they’re stopped. We, the peoples of the west, have had ample opportunity to do this. Not many of us have tried to control them in any meaningful sense, and those that did try have failed.
If the Russians have to stop them their way, that’s how it has to be.
“They are angry—furiously angry—at the way they and their country have been treated by western elites for the last 100 years.”
They have been treated better than they deserved to be treated. They were treated better than they treated everyone around them. John von Neumann was right. Patton was right. They should have been wiped out with nukes in late 40s.
I saw someone else refer to this phenomenon to the West’s “globohomo” imperialism. Everyone else in the world is rejecting it, for good reason. It’s anti-life, in its inception, at its core, and in its implementation.
How can a system that promotes biological dead-ends like homosexuality or trans-genderism be pro-life? The same system wants to cut off life early via abortion, and late, via euthanasia. No, Mr. Schwab’s great reset isn’t about life-affirmation.
In the rest of the world, kids go to school, and learn arithmetic and how to read and write in their language. Here, they learn about racial guilt, and how to question their sexual identity. In the RoW, young people meet, marry, and have families. Here, we infantilize our children so that many are living at home in their 30’s; when will they marry? When will they have children? No wonder our governments love immigration – they need the people.
I’ve been saying it for a long, long time here: the neo-fascists worship death, not life. They seek to destroy us.

Your point is perfectly coined by none other than by Nathanial Rothschilds near in Tears stating that the West Must defeat the Russian bear because…. if Ukraine loses, the NWO is dead….
Ya Don’t say..??
Carry on Vladimir….carry on.
Hmmm, let’s see now. 100 years ago Russia (USSR) was governed by Vladimir Lenin the totalitarian Communist Party leader of the USSR. It was an odious, communist dictatorship. Millions of people were murdered during the 70 years of the USSR. Lenin’s successor was Stalin who instituted the Gulags, made an alliance with Adolph Hitler and occupied most Eastern European states maintaining them as slaves until the Berlin wall fell in November 1989. Oh yeah, Russia fomented totalitarian revolutions around the word, enslaving those peoples.
Putin is a murderous KGB thug and billionaire kleptocrat who believes the collapse of the Soviet Union was a disaster.
The Russians have much for which to atone.
Can’t add much to that.
Putin is a murderous KGB thug and billionaire kleptocrat who believes the collapse of the Soviet Union was a disaster.
Oscar Schindler was also a card carrying member of the Nazi party. And your point is?
How many coups and assassination’s have the murderous CIA carried out for the corrupt elite in Washington? And now under the direction of the Kazrian mafia that now controls Washington have now turned the FBI and CIA on their own citizens.
You know whataboutism, is not an argument but a fallacy, right?
You know calling Russians “sons of pigs and monkeys” is right out of the Muslim playbook. Kielbasa snackbar?
Possibly and? Who says mooselimbs are wrong about this one?
Also I don’t call them that. I call them Siberian Mongol mongrels, abortion bucket rejects. Thank you for calling.
Hey, moron, guess what….the Internet is forever. I will never let you live this down.
[deleted. This isn’t your personal pissing post. Tone it down. – ED]
Sorry Kate, but you’re telling me to tone it down after all the insults he routinely throws at me? Seriously?
And yes, when russia was still publishing statistics on abortions it was clear they aborted more than gave live births too. Then Pootin solved the problem and prohibited publication of abortions statistics.
‘Whataboutism’ is also often an excuse to avoid addressing hypocrisy, inconsistency, and arguments made in bad faith, by implying that the other guy has committed some kind of grievous debating faux pas.
“These truckers are destroying people’s lives!”
“Wait, you cheered on BLM as they burnt cities…”
“Oh spare me your whataboutism, these truckers have CROSSED THE LINE!”
You mean they’ve crossed that elusive “Red Line” ? The much spoken about Red Line that is ONLY enforced against all things conservative
That is a self defeating argument. Pointing out hypocrisy is one thing, whataboutism is another. The proper response to “These truckers are destroying people’s lives!” is “Bullshit, no, they do not” and if they were, which they weren’t, that would be bad, regardless of BLM being a much greater evil. Nice try though.
“Oscar Schindler was also a card carrying member of the Nazi party. And your point is?”
Well there is one difference. In the end Schindler saved a lot of innocent Jews while Putin is currently murdering a lot of innocent Ukrainians. Putin carries on like the murderous KGB thug that he was and is. When in his vicinity avoid umbrellas or ingesting plutonium.
Your comment on “the Kazrian mafia” has a decidedly anti-Semitic conspiracy theory drift. I don’t support CIA assassinations and agree Washington has a corrupt elite. So apparently does Canada. Does this excuse Putin’s war?
Today’s Russians have nothing to atone for any more than today’s white Americans have regarding slavery, nor today’s Canadians for anything that happened over a generation ago, Mad John.
Except that none in America wants slavery while Siberian Mongols want their empire back and want to again subjugate their betters.
Look at this useful idiot. He parrots every WEF slogan and then like a total brain dead idiot claims “there will never be slavery in America.”
“Fringe minority with unacceptable views”
“What are we going to do with these people?”
“You will own nothing and you will be happy”
“Stand with Ukraine”
And predictably, you’re back to slinging poo in every random direction. This is your evolutionary limit, is seems.

My comments were in response to “The awful Truth” who opined, “They are angry—furiously angry—at the way they and their country have been treated by western elites for the last 100 years. More to the point, they are finally angry enough to do something about it.”
I was pointing out that it was Russia who was the totalitarian aggressor for most of the last 100 years. They were not the victim of other nations.
The Soviet Union and Russia are not the same.
Yes they are. Same empire different management. Same whore different lipstick.
“Whoever does not miss the Soviet Union has no heart. Whoever wants it back has no brain.” – Vladimir Putin
“The demise of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.” – Vova Pootin
Putin is a Russian nationalist with traditional values, which we used to hold but are gone with the wind thanks to the Cultural Marxists and their very successful Gramscian tactics(March through the institutions strategy)
He is neither our friend or enemy.
He, rightly or wrongly puts the interests of his own country first, unlike the political ‘leadership’ of this and the other countries of the English speaking West, who put the interests of the WEF and Davos first.
Even just saying you put the interests of your own country first(without doing much to advance them) like DJT will ensure the Globalists will take a Western political leader down.
Traditional values as I understand them include supporting democracy, obeying the law, supporting charities within one’s means, loving God, spending time in prayer, looking after family to the best of one’s ability, being faithful to one’s spouse, doing an honest days work, treating others with courtesy, respect and kindness, while standing for the good and opposing evil.
Putin does not hold traditional values, unless you define that as murdering and imprisoning political opponents, being a dictator, amassing billions of dollars in graft, illegally invading sovereign neighbors, killing their citizens while pining for the lost totalitarian Soviet communist empire. The nearest Putin comes to traditional values is posing for photographs in Russian Orthodox churches while lighting candles to demonstrate what I believe to be a fake piety.
Humbug.
We live in a “democracy” in which the government ordered seized the bank accounts of people who had not been charged with a crime. We live north of a “democracy” in which political protestors are still held in a Washington DC jail for over a year without bail or trial.
This is not a good time to be lecturing anyone on traditional democratic values.
Ouch. Your truthful statement should rain down on everyone’s heads like hot coals being dumped from the ramparts of our so called governments. Our so called “Democracies” … the most mis-used and abused political term of the day.
Kate:
I agree with you about our odious government and their excerable treatment of truckers and supporters, but I was simply enumerating some of what I hold to be traditional values. Lord knows I’ve carried on a lot about Justin Trudeau and his band of authoritarian creeps.
It is actually a necessary thing to be defending traditional values right now.
Remember The Maine!
Never heard of Andrew Heaton. At first I thought that was Andrew Coyne. Mr. Heaton is supposedly a comedian and self-described non-partisan political commentator, and yet he’d never heard about the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, or who the “Big Guy” is.
Tim gives a pretty good summary that was apparently all new info for Heaton. He doesn’t have much credibility with me when he was so blindingly (willfully?) ignorant.
‘I take a more mainstream approach to these things, so this information is new to me.’
Well, I’d suggest you remove your head from your own arse. Tim is discussing pay to play with this guy and he’s acting like he’s never heard this before. OK buddy… credibility = 0.
I found that astonishing, too. But just because those of us who frequent the right of center blogosphere have familiarity with a fact does not mean that the majority of news consumers do, even those on the purported right.
If I am defending Putin’s actions that doesn’t necessarily mean I am offering apologies so why call me a putin apologist? Just kidding, I already know, its control of the language. Apologies are explicit acknowledgements of culpability and blame, ie: wrong doing.
There can be only good or evil in any war, apparently and every podcaster, opinion writer and political hack (including these two) is careful to position himself on the right side before quibbling about their pet detail.
That is correct, a lot here do not apologize for Pootin, they cheer for him. Primarily out of justified but misplaced anger at the globalthisorthat. Those who are not lazy, know of Pootin’s connections to globalists, know of Sberbank, know of Sputinik “vaccine” and Pootin’s connections through Podesta Group.
“Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.” ― Winston S. Churchill
Also, those who are simpling for Pootin, tend to share party affiliation.
It’s far worse than lazy … it completely ignores every legitimate reason … yes, reason … Putin has to invade Ukraine. The laziness is what leftists universally do … they “pretend not to know things” as Sundance repeats so often. There’s a shitload of pretending not to know what we (the entire West) are doing in Ukraine … and none of it good. Why no good? When you have to hide your activities … and even ATTACK someone like Rudy Giuliani who tries to shine light on the scumbaggery … you’re up to no good.
It doesn’t matter if people think Putin’s motivations are legitimate, but it’s essential that they better understand WHAT THOSE MOTIVATIONS ARE in order to properly contextualize the actions and responses of our own governments, to weigh whether or not they are trustworthy agents on our behalf.
We are currently being fed a comic book version of this war, and that’s incredibly dangerous for everyone.
His motivations are very clear, he wanted a quick war to boost his popularity among the mongrel population, like Georgia or Crimea. He wanted Ukraine to become Belarus 2.0. Except that he miscalculated and now is escalating, cynically spending russian lives and murdering Ukrainians. It really is that simple. In any sane country he would be removed from power already. But russia has never been sane. Some people just refuse to believe facts,
And there you go offering the comic book version again … pretending the West … our supposedly legitimate governments weren’t themselves meddling in Ukrainian affairs … imposing our supposedly superior “Democracies” in a country that has been aided in shutting down opposition Parties and cutting off opposition media.
It rather seems as though the West is the one morphing into the Globalist version of The Soviet Union … not Russia. We’re the ones with absolute government power … and sham elections. A uni-Party that is creeping closer and closer to Totalitarian Control. Beware our leftist government accusing others of what they are themselves doing
Because sometimes a spade is just a spade. Because the comic version s correct. Because russia is one giant comic book.
Again, peoples’ justified hatred of evil domestic has completely blinded them when it comes to evil foreign. Both ae evil, both are real, both are equally banal and grotesque.
As for meddling in Ukraine, none meddled more than Pootin. And he did so through Sberbank and Podesta group (yes that Podesta).
Yes Kate … “motivation” is a more precise word, than “reason” to explain my thoughts. I did not mean to state that all of Putin’s “reasons” for war were “legitimate” … but that HE HAS his reasons … legitimate in his calculation. It’s absurd to claim Putin is as crazy and capricious as say … Nancy Pelosi 🙂
