Barry MacKillop, deputy director of intelligence at the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC), added that if a minority of the roughly 100,000 donors who contributed about $10 million to the cause through crowdfunding were right-wing extremists wanting to topple the Trudeau government, they chose the wrong way to do it.

The irony being, the Freedom Convoy donors are in no way a threat to Canadians’ freedoms, but donors to the major political parties now clearly are.
