  3. I’ve been reading CTV and CBC sites and according to them everyone hates the media.
    Or is it that normal people hate the Trudeau funded media who are paid to lie about us to other normal Canadians?
    Has anybody seen any vitriol directed at anyone in the media who is actually honest and decent?
    Is there any violence against media other than Trudeau’s goons beating up reporters like Andrew Lawton, Alexa Levoie, and David Menzies?
    And say what you want about David Menzies, but he can take a punch from those Trudeau goons!

    In a million years could you ever explain it to any of the Trudeau media why nobody respects them?

    I got more accurate information on the Freedom convoy from one non-subsidized guy, Viva Frei, than I did from all of the paid Trudeau media combined. Same with SDA.

    And now that no sane person believes a word in the MSM what happens when there is an actual crisis where the MSM could play a role in informing the public?
    What happens if we had a real serious pandemic?
    Would anyone believe a word from them?
    What is the point in subsidizing the press if everyone knows that they are lying all the time?

      He did not need to pay them to ensure their ideological “purity.” (gag) They were pushing their slop long before JT arrived.
      He pays them so that they can stay financially afloat and continue their adoring drivel. Canadians are not buying their product, so he is paying them to ensure the Narratives, Lies, Obfuscations, and Agendas keep coming. Otherwise, they would be going bankrupt, and he needs their continued messaging.

    This isn’t advocating for a leadership change when I say this but here goes.

    How would the PPC fare in a federal election with David as its leader?

    Again not advocating that the PPC change its leadership just asking if this guy has a future in the PPC.
    My understanding is that he ran for the PPC in the last election, but considering the profile he’s building and his ability to communicate effectively would he be able to create some momentum for the party?

  5. The mask has fully slipped – there is zero truth in corporate media – every word including “and” and “the” is a lie.
    Its been corrupt for a long time, but the trucker protest put it front and center.

    Their role now will be “official narrative” to justify government actions.

    As the saying goes we know they are lying, they know they are lying and they know we know – but if the media prints it, it will be the “official truth”, and the official truth will be obeyed.

  7. Best explanation WRT to Putin vs the US is to be found on YouTube. Vladimir Pozner, a US/Russian journalist laid it all out in a 2018 lecture at Yale’s MacMillan Centre for International Studies. At one point, Putin wanted RusFed’s entry into NATO but was rudely rejected by the US, whose attitude was there was only room for one major power in the world. How that’s changed over the years with the rise of China. IIRC, I also heard Putin talk about this in an interview as well (Oliver Stone?), so the rejection must have really stung. Pozner also claimed, that having worked in his field in both countries, each was as bad as the other WRT to propaganda.

      1. I hope you already knew this, but she never said “I could see Russia from my house.” Tina Fey said that in an SNL skit.

        What Palin said was that on a clear day, you can actually see Russia from the shores of Alaska, and she’s absolutely correct.

        I felt that it’s important to explicitly clarify that point, because the lying media made such hey out of that comment.

          Many years ago, I worked a ham located in NW Alaska, near Teller. That’s about 75 or so km from Cape Prince of Wales, which is the western-most point of the Seward Peninsula.

          At that cape, the Bering Strait is 50 or 60 km wide. Roughly in the middle are the Diomede Islands. Little Diomede is American territory, while Big Diomede, about 5 km away, is Russian.

  9. Many of you know that I am a rather obsessive vinyl and audiophile fanatic. In the world of high quality vinyl and the high end electronics needed for sublime playback … there is a term used top quality speakers (the very best are all made in England) … “non-fatiguing”. Top quality speakers are so well-balanced that they can be listened-to for hours on end … without assaulting your eardrums … even at top volume. “Non-fatiguing”

    I consider Viva Frei to the “non-fatiguing” champion of the internets. I could listen to David for hours on end. I said it before, but he is so likeable, accessible, reasonable, and generally the kind of bloke we’d all like as a best friend. I honestly could listen to David for hours on end. His cadence and tone of speech are just so … listenable. His knowledge is spot on, and I lean deeply toward his beliefs in limited government and personal liberty. And when compared to anyone and everyone in the State-scribe legacy media … they become like fingernails on the chalkboard. Make it STOP !! Five words out of their mealy mouths and I am hitting the mute or OFF switch

        I enjoyed your analog based, non fatiguing analogy.
        It fits Viva.
        He is obviously trying to invent and make his mark on social media these days, but good for him. Rubin and others have done the same for personal but, importantly, also larger motivations.
        He is a needed Canadian voice in the noise.
        I especially liked his reference in this clip to the unarguable quote from Kirkegard (sp) noting that we all live our lives forward but understand the life backwards. Vonnegut said so too.
        So it goes.

      Work with industry and with our American partners to possibly revive cancelled projects and keep Line 5 in operation.
