The evidence to support the public health measures is there (that said, some measures have more compelling evidence than others). The trouble is the evidence is based on statistical analysis which is too much for the nihilists who expect absolute proofs and 100% efficacy.

So, if I understand this correctly, at a time when the US has a well documented shortage of truckers, the Canadian and Ontario governments decide to “punish” quite a large selection of the Canadian industry by denying them insurance and essential business licenses. If I was a trucker right now, even if I wasn’t one of the blacklisted, I would be starting the process to follow the capital flight and move my corporation to the US. Canada has proven itself a risky place to do business under the liberals and I have no confidence that it would improve under the conservatives.

Many years ago, my brother worked for a Public Works department in a small city. A housewife called to complain of a blocked sewage system which had backed up into the house, causing filthy toilet overflows. A city crew was dispatched and did a thorough examination and informed the woman the blockage was on the residential side of the property and she would have to call a plumber.
The woman went ballistic, yelling it was a new house which they purchased brand new, just one or two years earlier, so it must have been on city property. To calm her down they sent the crew back to clear the blockage from inside the home.
They pulled out a huge clump of used condoms as the husband and wife looked on.
At this point it was the husband who went ballistic, not at the city crew but at the wife.
