Road Trip

*In a late night emergency press conference organizers in Ottawa are requesting more people to join them this week. They’re calling it a pre-emptive SOS.

There’s a concern with the increase in the number of police they are seeing and the saber rattling coming from all three levels of government. No one is sure but they’re hearing reports that there may be far more police waiting in the wings ready to make a move on them. If all of a sudden the social media feeds we’ve been seeing go dark that means that police will be moving in. Likely with a tactic called “Kettling”.  Livestreams being the obvious place where it would be the most noticeable.

I found the video of the press conference on someone’s Facebook page. So far I haven’t found it anywhere else. If anyone else has other links please put them in the comments.

Everyone is hoping that they’re being overly cautious here but it is a numbers game. If there’s a large enough group of people committed to remaining peaceful the police won’t be able to do much of anything.

-Borders are now blocked at Coutts and Windsor crossings and possibly others as well.

    1. You’re correct.

It’s a good place to stuff bad agents and let them run ‘amok’.

We demand to see how many and where the rooms are.

  1. They need more indigenous, more Asians, more blacks, more other varied ethnic groups to join the protest. Trudeau thinks nothing of punishing the generally white truck driver, but when other ethnicities involved, he will think twice. Yet his edicts affect all of us.

    1. Can I show up in blackface? Does that count? What if I put on my Indian costume and pretend to dance like them? Hey, I’m a certified drama teacher. It’s not my fault that it’s only part time and on a substitute basis.

    2. I agree, completely, SophieandIdrisForever .

Openly playing the ‘race game’ as you suggest would help blow a massive hole in ‘The Narrative’.

Get some gays and trannies in there, too! The key here is to be open and honest about what you are doing, thus deflecting the media criticisms sure to follow. It would also display the crassness of the left’s non-stop race-baiting and subsequent divisive tactics. Seeing these varied groups in solidarity with the truckers wouldn’t affect the Libtards, they would just continue to delude themselves, but centrists and your ‘old-fashioned’ Liberals would certainly have their eyes opened.

Show them that sincere diversity is in freedom of thought and deed, not skin tone or reproductive organs.

I would think that the best way to prevent the police from employing Kettling would be to prevent the Kettle from being formed in the first place.

To this end I would recommend coordination, communication, and mobility. If protesters can learn to identify the preliminary phases of a Kettling maneuver it should be possible to inform those around them of what is happening and move in a safe direction or disperse widely and re-convene at a different location. Diversionary protests might be desirable to prevent police from concentrating all their available resources in one place. Likewise, attention should be given to the lay of the land. Kettling becomes markedly less efficient in open terrain. If the police can rely on buildings, walls, waterways, or other features to prevent movement they will be able to maintain the Kettle with less manpower. As such protesters should make themselves aware of the surrounding area. I would suggest going so far as to plan, in advance, a number of alternate routes and rally points.

Speed of motion may also work to limit the effectiveness of Kettling. If protestors can move quickly enough it may prove problematic for police to surround them. This likely relies on having sophisticated communications and good coordination. If a Kettle is in the process of being established it may be possible to blunt it’s impact by dispatching a rear guard to cover the retreat of the main body of protestors. A rear guard of dedicated people might be able to impede the progress of one or more lines of police by the simple expedient of linking arms are refusing to move. They will almost certainly be arrested, but the main body of protesters can make use of this time to seek an alternate route or to disperse.

There are other ideas in this link, including each person carrying their own personal ready supply of food and water. Part of the kettling tactic is to deny protesters provisons and making them more succeptible to losing morale. Be mobile and utilize “cells” of protesters.

The other factor is quick communication. Obviously, truckers already have this nailed down. 🙂

    1. Indeed. Too often its just a ploy to buy time for them to mobilize their forces while there appears to be a stagnation in what is happening on the line. Don’t for a second let up while negotiations are happening.

  3. The desire on the part of the truckers to do things decently and fairly is in keeping with 1 Corinthians 14:40: “Let all things be done decently and in good order.”

The question is whether the government is willing to do the same.

  4. Scared politicians are dangerous politicians. I thought the truckers should have left laughing when that little twerp scurried away with his tail between his legs, I hate to say it, but I’m expecting a violent crackdown soon.

  5. At this point, I am not yet sure there is much difference between ISIS and the Canadian Government. In fact, Canadians and Australians are actually in far more clear and present danger from their governments than they are from ISIS.

  6. The latest scandal is that Pat King laughed out loud when noting why officials are slowly acquiring a willingness to do the decent thing and give the truckers a fair hearing. The parasites haven’t slept properly in ten days.

Psychological torture? They’ve been doing that to us for two years (at least). And somehow they’re shocked that we’re laughing ourselves sick watching them squirm.

We warned them they wouldn’t like the #NewRules. They didn’t listen. It’s not Pat King’s fault they didn’t listen.

Fuck them all if they can’t take a joke. The honking will continue till freedom improves. We plan on thoroughly enjoying ourselves doing it.

And Canadians are laughing with us.

  7. I support the truckers, but this is a wrong move. Far too conciliatory.

Should have made a call for all border crossings to be blocked-Windsor and Coutts show the willingness is there. The resources of the rcmp are far from infinite, and their efficiency can be degraded quickly.

Their “solid relationship” with the police is illusory, and you do not give out your name so freely, let them work for that information.

  8. I continue to be impressed by the organizers. However ,it is rapidly becoming apparent there never has been a political solution available. It has only taken this long for them to move in because they were certain they could control the narrative , pen the convoy up and send them home with their tails between their legs. It worked the last 2 times. It was not a total government failure in as much as a significant portion of the population believes all the labels that have created. Isn’t amazing with all their intelligence capabilities they haven’t found what police department the girl standing on the tomb of the unknown soldier works for. Think about it. The people in power will not give up their power easily. And even with O’toole gone there is still no effective opposition. We must watch closely what happens with CPC in the coming days. I am not convinced there is anything redeeming, even with those who talk a good game.If there is one positive, it is the effort has shown there is many good citizens coast to coast. In a way the truckers have won but because the Mandates will be coming off, likely soon, but it is a victory the politicians cannot allow the freedom movement to claim. The only way the government will be brought to their knees is if a large portion of us simply refuse to work. 50 % of the big rigs would likley do it ,but we really need a countrywide broadbased strike.Unfortunately there is to many that haven’t bought in. God bless our freedom fighters.

    1. Fully agree. One lesson conservatives should learn is to always support the working class. This is the key. The CPC’s Red Tories (hello Mr. O’Toole!) do not support working people. The Red Tories suck up to the media elites and other elites.

Supporting working people comes from Donald Trump.

  9. Trust no one in the government and remember the police are no longer there to serve and protect, they are now the gestapo of the government. The police are not your friends.

  10. Coutts is interesting.

Truckers, RCMP, Truckers, RCMP…and so on.

    Who is kettling who?

The reality at Coutts is that the convoy is impossible to surround. There are no buildings to press up against. And the trucks themselves are pretty much tanks.

Ottawa may well be overwhelmed by police force. Coutts, not so much. Kenny has to cave. Soonish.

  11. Chowderheads who “represent” an fringe of a fringe are not going to meet the Governor General or anyone else who isn’t a flatland hillbilly Tory.
And I guess the honking has stopped despite the lack of improvement of “freedom”.
    Entitled white-trash asshats.

      1. “Entitled white-trash asshats.”

Right there, ladies & gentlemen, is a shining, textbook example of your average, tolerant, compassionate, lefty voter.

    1. I understand there are courses that teach effective trolling. You might wish to take a few and improve your pathetic ground game.

      1. Yeah, that was painfully pathetic.

        “white-trash”

Ha, not even shy about announcing to the world that it(hope I guessed the correct pronoun) is no more than just another slimy, hate-filled racist!

    2. Wow, I guess this is where a free and democratic country shared with the likes of people like you ends. Bring it on.

    3. You make no sense. Solidarity wasn’t built in a day. And the world is watching.

Mandates are falling in the United States. You might want to start asking yourself with all the science out there why isn’t Trudeau and his Mary ban of thieves following it since he seems to love to say it so much.

Specifically what’s going on in Israel and the John Hopkins report. Why didn’t the Canadian health authorities put that out m? sift through thousands and thousands of reports to find out lockdowns don’t work. If there’s thousands and thousands of reports that means the science has been going on all this time and they ignored it on purpose. Why is Canada waiting for the United States?

      1. “Mary” band of thieves?
Every dime of education was wasted on you hillbillies.

    4. Your rainbow splattered homo parade is in another building. Since you’re already bent over holding your ankles anxiously awaiting Prinz Sparkle Potato to pirouette behind you, look through your legs about another 100km left and you’ll see it.

    5. “Entitled white trash ass-hats”

Can I use this? It goes so far in the “show don’t tell” presentation of what leftists think of anyone who disagrees with them, and the hypocrisy, that at this point I truly think they are blind to, that they function with.

I know you hope that your statements are all true and factual. Keep that hope going as long as you can, things will get uncomfortable for you when reality begins to dawn.

  12. Where the hell are the police union heads? Why are they not informing their members that they do not have to follow unconstitutional orders? Why aren’t they informing members that police are not there to solve political problems and medical issues? The unions’ leadership is either complicit or cowardly.

    1. The real irony is that Ottawa cops unsuccessfully fought against the vaccine mandates themselves, holding out until only a few days before the Freedom Convoy started.

  13. I am unfamiliar with the layout of Ottawa, and urban geography is everything in a popular uprising. That said, the French government in 1830 tried a tactic similar to kettling during unrest in Paris. The French population were able to defeat government forces by bottling them up in the narrow, confusing streets of Paris using barricades – one in front of the government forces and another behind them. The government eventually surrendered and disbanded once a couple of large detachments were cut off. The French refer to this revolution as the three glorious days.

Large trucks would make excellent barricades.

    1. As someone more familiar with the layout, I would tent to think that Kettling would be pretty easy in the NCR.

  14. Believe it or not, I and a few friends are booked as add-ins on a bus of seniors headed to Ottawa. It’s similar to a spring tulip-tour, but with more of a pilgrimage tone. I am very interested in hearing the views of the seniors and what their impetus is to make this trip, which won’t have the expected “comforts” a typical seniors trip would have.

  15. If the CPC MPs weren’t such a pack of gutless wonders they would be down there at the protests when the brownshirts arrive.

  16. // I found the video of the press conference on someone’s Facebook page. So far I haven’t found it anywhere else. //

I loved the calm, even hesitant, way the new spokesman makes grandiloquent suggestions.
Much better than shouty ranters like Pat Jones, Chris Skye, & Randy Hillier [who is on
    Russia Today praising their media]

    Anyway, the money claim:
    Tom Marazzo says:
“I’m willing to sit at a table with the conservatives and the NDP and the Bloc, as a coalition.
I’ll sit with the governor general.”

    An attempted “Q d’etat”
