  1. Here’s Tara Henley’s Substack article, that the 2nd link references: https://tarahenley.substack.com/p/speaking-freely

In it, she states, “It used to be that I was the one furthest to the left in any newsroom, occasionally causing strain in story meetings with my views on issues like the housing crisis. I am now easily the most conservative, frequently sparking tension by questioning identity politics. This happened in the span of about 18 months. My own politics did not change.”

Pause for a moment to think about the repercussions of what she said. The tax dollars of ALL Canadians are involuntarily taken and used to fund the CBC. A woman who used to be the “furthest to the left” is now the “most conservative”. Definitionally this means that any member of the public whose views are to the right of Leftist Henley are almost certainly NOT represented. So why should they have to pay one cent to this Radically Left Woke organization?

  2. It really annoys me that this Henley chick, who thinks CBC was producing quality journalism in 2013(!), is getting traction with this. Looks to me like she’s using Bari Weiss as a template to drag a middling career out of a rut.

I swear, soon twitter’ll be on substack wokely bemoaning how woke everything is.

  3. A judge is a failed lawyer. A good lawyer does not give up a lucrative law practice.
Thus, these decisions are made by idiots who are illiterate. They have no clue how to read or interpret law.
Therefore, it is no surprise that a BLM/Antifa terrorist would be acquitted for blatant vandalism.

  4. A journalist finally notices that journalism is a nuclear dumpster fire of corruption, dishonesty, and political activism.
It is literally her job to notice what is going on around her. She is paid to be observant.
A hold out WWII Japanese soldier living in a remote cave in the jungles of Sarawak would have noticed it sooner.

It took eight years for it to sink into her liberal brain that CBC was biased.
I don’t feel I have much to learn from someone this abysmally stupid.

    1. Stan, the only thing that got her attention was that now she is experiencing the bias that she participated in for the last eight years.
She’s enlightened in the same way JWR “suddenly realized” the caliber of character the sock monkey possessed.

“I’m Shocked, shocked I tell you to discover that gambling has been occurring in this establishment”

  5. This concept of justifiable crimes is total and complete nonsense. It’s time to quit being genteel to political/social warriors/woke enablers and stomped them out of existence.

    1. This concept of justifiable crimes is total and complete nonsense.

Not in Canada if you want to block a railroad or pipeline. You just have to be of the right race or political persuasion to get away with it….. or be a high-ranking Liberal.

“This concept of justifiable crimes is total and complete nonsense.”

It worked out just fine for OJ Simpson.

      1. Neo, you might be oversimplifying OJ’s murder of his ex-wife, but I get your point. He surely was oppressed. /s

  6. Henley is a liberal as defined as someone actively seeking the latest transient fashion and looking for a way to get in front of it.
They have no principle that they won’t cast aside when it becomes inconvenient.
In her case, it was that she became the target of the beast she has been nurturing.
There is a name for this type of character and the only distinction is the price.
I won’t condemn her, but I also won’t be giving her praise for her pretence of having seen the light as though she is the only one to have discovered the fact that CBC is not in the business of informing the public but of influencing them.

  7. But, but, but … white wokesters have … “a burden for the black (and indigenous) man”. BIPOCS make nice pets.
