I was watching Tim’s podcast ‘live’ last night, and he went to great lengths to downplay it, as he was still trying to figure out what the hell was happening. As Tim himself pointed out, swatting doesn’t seem to be as effective in remote areas, as compared to a major city.
I hope they find the a-hole who did this, but how much enthusiasm will law-enforcement really put into this, considering the victims are anti-establishment mouthpieces? Nevertheless, Pool is too good a marketer not to exploit this to it’s fullest extent.
“Come back with a warrant” I know the guy is upset, but relax. Be mad at the caller. Not the cops that HAVE to ensure that the call is a fake because they are mandated to do so. That’s why Swatters do what they do. Swatter should be charged with every felony they can scratch up. Then a public display should be made of them going to prison for 5 years. Only way to stop it.
I’d say longer than 5 years considering the possible consequences.
An innocent death, possibly several, including dogs.
