I want to follow-up on OJ’s post from yesterday. Commenter Filez Navidad shared this Reddit link. This comment particularly roused my ire:

That was my opinion in January 2021 too, however there is nothing like seeing the damage and insufferability of anti-vaxxers in real time to change your opinion.

Today Trudeau’s stance is the same as that of the majority of Canadians, on both vaccine passports and being angry at antivaxxers, and I’m sure many of those Canadians held different opinions a year ago too.

Is he/she/it correct?  Do the majority of Canadians truly believe that vaccine passports are a good thing and that people who have chosen not to get the vaccine are to blame for all of their problems?  No consideration for natural immunity?  No consideration for religious exemption?  No longer a need for informed consent?  AND ZERO KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE LATEST DATA?!?

Does this really represent the majority of the people in the country of my birth?  If so, then Canada may still be the True North but is surely and absolutely no longer strong or free.

Today is January 6th.  There’s another 6th; June to be precise.  Imagine what the young men who bravely fought on this day must think of this Canadian “majority”.

  1. I am not vaccinated. The majority of my co-workers are. When I go to work today about 25 percent of my co-workers will be off because they either are sick with covid or have tested positive for covid. Since I’m not vaccinated I have been getting tested twice a week for months now, and I am still clean.

    When talking to them about it, most regret getting the vaccine and say they won’t get the booster. Most sya they only got the vaccine because they were coerced.

  3. The majority of all people everywhere throughout time have been followers of the majority. That’s how religions work. Why would today be different? Most people are intellectually just children, who don’t think a lot, but feel many things. They follow their feelings, especially when those feelings make them part of the group, and they’re easily manipulated by the sociopaths in power. This is what you are fighting.

I will be posting something to gettr later today along the lines of “If you can’t articulate an opinion you disagree with, you don’t understand it and if you don’t understand it, how can you be sure you disagree with it.” This is the crux of where we are today. I have no idea why people are terrified of a flu virus with an IFR of 0.26%, the same or lower than the seasonal flu most years.

        What’s got the authorities in a twist is that those admitted to hospital don’t follow the script as it’s framed in the health care act. Namely, when they are serious enough to end up at the hospital emergency they cannot be left in the waiting room for triage for four hours, and once in the emergency room cannot be left in a bed waiting another four hours waiting for a five minute consultation to be recommended to a specialist when available.
        Nope, they go immediately to ICU and must be attended to for the entire time, no exception. The system was never set up to deliver, it was set up to preserve the system.
        This “pandemic” has revealed what a sham the Canadian Health Care act is.
        This isn’t some rant in caps response more a “yep, the stupid it still burns” response.

    We have elected governments who follow experts who themselves are learning about the proliferating offspring of the corona virus as they come along and as they deem for our own good.
    When governments panic we have to follow their orders or take the consequences they mete out, we live by rule of law.

    1. Liz, Canada has become a dictatorship. A free society would never allow what has been happening in this country to happen, let alone continue into year three of mass insanity. The rule of law has been ignored as everything that has been done is against Canadian law, Canadian Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Act (CSC.2000,c.24). The Canadian Criminal Code, sec 216, 217, 217.1. International law is also being flaunted. Tell me why?

Once they encounter decision time, the only skin they try to save is their own and they chose the path that leaves them in the clear.   9. I’m glad to see SDA is back and up and running. Really missed it…….I am not vaccinated But I am not an anti vaccinator. I believe that true vaccines work and should be taken. This is an experimental gene manipulator NOT A VACCINE Period. The side effects are worse than the disease. I work in a small business as a delivery drive (part time). (retired sort of)…. all of the workers there are double jabbed and boosted as well. The owner is now sick in quarantine 2 others are off sick and yesterday the lead worker was spraying down another worker with Lysol because they said that “didn’t feel well”. I think people are starting to become unhinged and are doing some very irrational things. I worry about the state of our Country and some of the decisions being made by supposedly sane rational people.

  10. It’s important to remember the things that truly matter. For me the Big Three are : my family, my health and my principles. These three things must be taken care of and protected no matter the cost.

    Once you understand what’s most important to you then big decisions are much easier to make. Other people’s nattering and bluster are just noise. Possessions are just stuff. Friends, jobs and money come and go…some of these you’ll miss, most are replaceable. On a scale of 1 to 10 of things that matter to me, social media and popular culture score about zero. Keep your perspective of how little most things really matter over the long term.

Because I see in the news these crazy lineups for ‘free tests’ + politicians promising millions and millions and tests and I don’t understand why. In what way a test would help you? If you have no symptoms or even mild symptoms why would you stay in -10 C for hours to get this stupid test? If your symptoms are serious, you go to Emergency and you still don’t need this crap because hospital will do it 1st anyway.

    So Yeah, lately I do not recognize Canada any more. I truly feel this is not my country any more.

    I think most (normal) people are actually sick of all the restrictions and are starting to clue in because they assume that everyone around them are jabbed so these reported ‘cases’ should not be happening.

    On New Year’s Eve my neighbors (of about 10 adults) had an semi-impromptu, unmasked, outdoor champagne party for about an hour. Many were talking about people they knew getting tested ‘positive’ (with Omicron) and freaking out because they were off work (none of them were seriously sick). None of my neighbors blamed the ‘unclean’ nor was it even mentioned because they make the assumption that everyone is jabbed. I am OK if they assume that I am jabbed (even though I’m not). Would they be ‘offended’ if I told them ? Maybe, but I don’t go around bragging about it nor do I bring it up.

    From my experience, when I talk with people one on one, they would be interested in finding out why I made my choice instead of chastising me. Besides, if someone wants to be a vaxhole then fine, so be it; just don’t come near me (I don’t them to get me infected).

Canadians are human beings, and once we decided to reject the core principles that enabled our formerly decent and sane society, then we face exactly the same dangers as the German polity faced in 1937.   16. I am double-jabbed with no regrets. Being older and with underlying health issues it was an obvious choice for me. I do not believe the vaccinations contain things that will kill me in 12 months and I believe the people who think this are in the conspiracy theory realm. I do not believe that my attitude is “religious-like” as many ascribe. In fact many religious people are truly anti-vaxxers. I do not agree with exemptions for religious beliefs. I do agree that no one should be forced to get vaccinated and you shouldn’t be confined to your home like a leper because you don’t want the jab. I respect your decision. Please respect mine.

    Having said that it is very obvious that the vaccinations are not working as advertised. Initially sold to protect against infection, then to reduce symptoms if you contracted covid, the vaccines are in a pile of ruins. I have no intention of getting a booster because I don’t believe it would do me (or anyone else) any good. This is based on hindsight mostly.

    More than anything else this pandemic has shown how poorly we are governed. The experts have no idea what is going on but they insist on being in charge. The politicians have used the pandemic to spend money. The vaccines do have side effects (every vaccine does), especially for younger active people (and children) who don’t even need to be vaccinated. I don’t understand the nonsense of insisting children be vaccinated when it’s mainly old fat farts ending up in the hospital. It would make more sense (from health standpoint) to make obesity illegal.

    I believe we are at the beginning of the end of covid. Wait a few months until spring is in the air and the Democrats in the US come to the realization that they are going to be decimated in November. This will end with a whimper and not a bang. No one will be held accountable. The economy is heading for some very dark days. You want Universal Basic Income? How about Universal Basic Misery?

    1. I do respect your own personal choice, and I am gratified to understand that you are thinking for yourself, and not following the mantra of either side. I will disagree with a few of your opinions, that is my right, after all, but you are totally entitled to have those opinions, as long as you respect the right of others to have differing views.

      Although I do not agree with your initial decision, I respect your right to make the decision for yourself. I’m sure many of us would agree with that. What most of us object to is the obvious coercive tactical approach that the government is using against it’s own population.

    2. Steve – some simple questions, please consider if you have ever heard this discussed by the experts:

      1) How many molecules of mRNA in an injection?
      2) What percentage are defective mRNA?
      3) What will the defective mRNA cause your ribosomes to make, if not the intended spike protein?
      4) Could the defective mRNA cause your ribosomes to make a misfolded protein, known as a prion?

      Prion disease is what mad cow/CJE is – prions are misfolded proteins that have the capability of duplicating themselves. The process is slow and takes 2-3 years to manifest as spongiform encephalopathy, ie: the swiss cheese brain and resulting dementia and loss of motor control until death.

      For #2), Pfizer is manufacturing quadrillions of mRNA molecules, and no manufacturing process in human history has been 100% perfect. Early on they were producing about 40% defective mRNA. At last review it was down to about 25% defective mRNA, but no one is really sure because mass mRNA manufacturing is brand new and there are no best practices or rock solid QA processes for it.

      The only way to know if #2) is leading to #4) is with long term 18/24/36 month data which doesn’t exist. We also have Pfizer wanting 50+ years to release all developmental and clinical trial data.

      These are simple questions. Are they in your “conspiracy theory realm”? If so, why?

    3. According to the Johns Hopkins covid survey based on age, weight, health,etc – I have a 5.1 in 1,000,000 (95% CI) chance of dying from covid19. Since I’m not taking the covid vaccine, I have 0% chance of vaccine death or injury. I’ll gladly take those odds and wait out the political storm (political idiocy?)

      BTW, there are more reports that all-cause mortality rate (non covid) in the working age group is rising dramatically. I’m sure there’s many reasons, including vaccines, but even these other reasons can be traced directly to government policy failures that caused : suicides, overdoses, delayed health care.

      As I’ve said before, I think history will declare the covid19 response as the biggest political policy failure of the 21st century and government’s human/civil rights abuses in “democratic” countries as abhorrent and unforgivable.

          Time and data will tell the tale but it’s certainly not an unfounded “conspiracy theory”. Just like vaccinated, healthy football (soccer) players and other athletes with sudden heart disease is an unexplained anomaly.

          The increased death rate in the young last year is particularly concerning.

            This was my point about “conspiracy theory realm”. Some guy writes a blog about a 40% increase in deaths in Indiana (I don’t know if that is even true – must be if he’s an MD) and you repost it as an increase in the death rate of the USA. But a simple check shows the US death rate is not increasing by 40% – it’s growing by just over 1% (i.e. demographics), down slightly from 2014.

            But don’t take my word for it. Take the word of an insurance company because (as we all know) they have a great record of telling the unvarnished truth. Why would an insurance company make up shit about the death rate? I don’t know, but are they coincidentally raising their insurance rates?

One thing is for sure: The orthodoxy was quickly and successfully set up with respect to getting jabbed, anyone who openly disagrees is a heretic, and you’d better do your disagreeing in hushed whispers.     1. The thing I don’t get is Ivermectin. Why (essentially) ban it in Canada? It’s a cheap drug with a long history of not harming people.   22. It seems that almost everyone in my age cohort — early 50s — is compromised: totally woke AF and completely compliant with government edicts. I am shocked at how submissive and compliant friends I have know most of my life have become. They totally love authority. And forget dating single women in this age group — they are all insane with the social justice nonsense.

    Interestingly, it is the younger people with whom I work — millennials and the group just before them — who are more skeptical. They go along with the woke nonsense thrust upon them by, surprisingly, my generation — but they are going along to get along: they understand the consequences, particularly in the workplace, of being seen to be non-compliant. But when you earn their trust and can speak with them privately, they acknowledge that wokeism and COVIDism are insane. And surprisingly, they know history and they know where this leads.

    It’s not all of the younger people who seem resistant. I’d say it’s maybe 20% of those I have encountered. The other 80% are totally woke and look forward to sending people to the camps. Of my generation, I’d say it’s maybe 5% or less who are resistant. The other 95% want to be the guys who get to drop the pellets through the hatches in the gas chambers. And writing of camps and exterminations is not as hyperbolic as one would hope.

    The saddest thing for me is a friend I have known since grade school. He totally believes that Canada is fundamentally racist, that we all (except for him, of course) committed genocide against the Natives, that men are women when they want to be, that all minorities are owed reparations, and that anyone who even questions the government about COVID is suffering from mental illness. Frighteningly, his son just graduated RMC and is now an officer in the Forces — both have said that they hope that the son can someday “help fix the Canadians who are standing in the way”.

    I’m not sure really. I’d like to think they would be disgusted, with our government and it’s voters.
    I was just listening to an audio book awhile back,about Canadians and the Normandy landings. And one passage from a Canadian journalist at the time,sent home to the folks always brings a tear to my eye.

    I can’t do it justice but the poetry, pride ,and respect in his words describing a young Canadian man dead in the wire at dusk. That bled out alone just wanting a cigarette, he couldn’t light. As the journalist picked ithe lighter out of the sand below the soldiers body and it was full of sand. And I look at the state of affairs today. And just shake my head.

    We’ve kept the “news” off for most of the holiday period, so just catching up the last couple of days.
    This country is in the middle of a Madness. Citizens waiting in lines, for hours in the cold for tests, for what? To feed their paranoia? They’re jabbed already, haven’t they had that head swivel moment yet?
    If only Johnny Rotten’s epic statement could be broadcast far and wide, it describes how the sheeple have been used by their authorities.

    I’m not sure how the government lets off the pedal. They have written the jabs into their job position requirements. While not permanent, it’s an indication that the requirement is long lasting. Then there’s the vaxports too. Did gov go through all that trouble to establish them, only to drop them a year later?
    Is Omicron the end, or is it just another variant, with a worse one to come? Nothing is off the table. We’ve already seen immune escape this time, the vaxxes don’t work and actually enable the vaxxed to get sick. The next variant, if more virulent, may wipe out the vaxxed across the board, thanks to immune escape and ADE.
    This is a nation of followers, waiting for Mommy government to deliver them to salvation. Just follow your orders, wink wink, nudge, nudge. Sheep being led to slaughter.
    And what of us, the Critical Thinkers? They still scapegoat us, but clearly, we are not the problem. The virus is being spread far and wide by the vaxxed, as they socialize in bars, restaurants, sports events, their vaxxed only workplaces, etc, where we are banned. This is logical. Trudeau and his miscreants are completely illogical, but Canadians are too mesmerized to figure that out. They can’t do much more to us, without turning us into criminals by further actions.

    If the numbers are true, then, using BC as an example, the gov would need to truck 10% of the population off to the camps. That’s about 600,000 people. It’s illogical, there are no camps or prisons that could accommodate even 1% of that amount. Their hands are tied, so, they continue this outrageous OTHERING and name calling.
    Where do we go from here?

  31. Unfortunately the vast majority I have been dealing with think the unjabed belong sequestered in a camp ,starving with no health care services. I will concede it is moderating slightly. Remember it isn’t easy to admit you have been duped. So how can we resist? For starters this is not a vaccine and as such we should at every opportunity remind people and call it what it is – an experimental drug or experimental gene therapy. Secondly it isn’t isolating it is jailed, interned , or kidnapped. Thirdly , every time we are asked for our “papers” we should salute and shout “Heil Trudeau!”. Also “Let’s go Trudeau” has a nice ring to it. We have been guilty of letting them call it a vaccine and have done so ourselves, What is the downside? If you don’t comply they think you should be dead anyway. You can still comply if you wish but it will wake a few people up. And they really can’t arrest you – at least until the Turd gets his hate speech legislation passed. We don’t get out of this without fighting back. And language matters and these dictators are thin skinned.

  32. Recent reports have a number of infants in Ontatio being hospitalized for Covid. This is a new development, since previous infant infections were extremely rare. Since the vaccines do not stop the spread, are infants being exposed to the virus by vaxed health care workers?

  33. Has there been an in depth examination of Trudeau’s rise to prominence from slacker, part time drama teacher and general failure to dictator of Canada? Who was behind it, why he was selected, how it was done? I remember early on he was not taken seriously by Harper, to his eventual downfall. Canada has obviously been identified by the globalist power brokers as an early test case for the Great Reset, and JT was identified as the ideal puppet to bring about the transition. At this point poor Canada is so thoroughly gaslighted by the puppet’s media most people have no clue what is going on. It’s truly a case of mass formation psychosis.

  36. I have known about this blog for years, but have been following it diligently for the past 8 months. My first post.

    I often come to this blog to get my facts, to check and recheck. The PM’s speech is bullying, hate speech. Which scares me. Mind you a lot of things scare me these days. I am a child abuse survivor. Horrendous things were done to me, and despite it all, many have said I am the strongest person that anyone has ever met. I don’t feel strong these days. I feel like I am fighting a loosing battle. I was diagnosed with Complex PTSD 3 years ago. I tell my therapist, I am not anti-vaxx, I am anti-bullying. Many of the things that have occurred over the past 2 years, I experienced in my childhood and teen years. Being told that your nothing, locking you away, spreading lies and malice. I never thought that I would have to experience this again in my life. I was getting back on track prior to 2020. Starting to trust people, and then hell in handbasket happened. I am thankful that I have at least my therapist to talk too, and my husband who still doesn’t really understand about my PTSD, and had a bit of a melt down after finding out about my diagnosis. I am going to try my best to keep strong, and stand up for what I believe in. Thank you for all that you do.

    1. The Other, I too found this blog through a good friend about three years back. I’m saddened to read of your abuse and PTSD. It’s also sad that your spouse is less than supportive. Yet you might find support here. Remember, it was done to you, but it doesn’t define you, only you can do that. If you post here with good intent you will be welcomed, of that I can assure you. There are a number of regulars that are very insightful, though sometimes profane lol.
      You will learn that if your posts have relevance, you will be treated with equality and a kind of SDA blog friendship, that I personally trust and respect.
