Our daughter has turned into one of these irrational mommies, and has now barred us from our young grandson. Anything we say is a lose-lose proposition at this point. So, we’ve pretty much decided that 2 can play Silent Running, as what we don’t say can’t be held against us. This, despite she deserves a good tongue lashing regarding toxic relationships and manipulating people, thanks to bad advice from social media “friends”.

Fuck That! We will be here, no doubt to pick up the pieces when her life goes off the rails, I guess that’s what elders do. But the relationship is damaged, we can’t gain back missing time from our grandson, who at 1 and 1/2, knew who we were, and our house.

I think many young mommies feel they are owed “mulligans” or “do overs”. One of my sisters is of that mindset.
Out of a family of 5, 4 are unvaccinated and 1 is vaccinated. One of the unvaccinated had COVID (asymptomatic) a year ago. Two nieces (who are nurses) were forced to get vaccinated. A number of extended relatives are nurses with about half supporting the vaccines.
