      1. I thought it had been agreed that “takers” has been associated with those people for too long, and is now a derogatory term? They now prefer the much more honourable and trustworthy term “parasites”.

  1. If the American system allowed for snap elections the Democrats would be stupid enough to call one right now.

They’d like to take a mulligan you see.

Blue America, repent, before the Saviour comes again.

  3. I’m always surprised about that little blue chunk of Montana up against the 49th. Missoula & Billings? Sure, they’re college towns. But up in the bald-assed prairie?

    1. Missoula County was the worst place to be in Montana for catching WhuFlu. The rest of the state is as fine.

    2. There has been an undercurrent of the inane in Montana for many years. Example: my company was trying to get mining permits to work a property that already had a long history of mining development. But we were thwarted for an extra six months because one of the locals claimed that the rumor of a Sasquatch sighting years earlier made the land a “Sasquatch breeding territory”. We laughed at that claim, but the government of Montana didn’t.

      1. Once sitting in Starbucks in Missoula, picked up a local paper by the college or university.

Anyone detect a pattern? I don’t. Let’s cut the covid bull. It will do what it does depending on variant, wave, climate (Dan Bongino astutely noted Florida had a summer outbreak, when the heat keeps more indoors) demographics, vaccinations and successfully protecting vulnerables, not quarantining the healthy, lockdowns, masks, mandates or other draconian measures.

Civil society never thought government was better at personal decisions than individuals. Why did we believe them this time?

Something for historians to ponder and gnaw at; assuming Big Bad Brother has taken over history and us by then.

    3. I’ve made a few contacts with my fellow hams in Montana. Several years ago, I chatted frequently with one in the southern part of the state via satellite.

It will however go whoosh right over our progressive comrades tiny little minds..

  5. It’s amazing the pointless petty crap we distract ourselves with. Christmas or Holidays… there’s very little Christ left in it, whether you claim to be Christian or not. Santa’s got a stranglehold on Christmas.
