1. Why would ANYONE take a paltry severance when they get $$PAID$$ these gargantuan salaries?

   1. Every Government Department is the very same scenario. Does not matter where you look in government this is what you find.
      In Alberta this mess was began by a so called Conservative by the name of Peter Lougheed.
      He was a Communist. He was more Left than Pierre Trudeau. PET offered Private Property Rights to Albertans in the 1982 Constitution. t took Peter Lougheed 15 Minutes to reject Property Rights for the Citizens of Alberta.

2. the biggest mistake was when the liberals brought in the LHIN a truckload of bureaucrats that do nothing for the health care in Ontario. Unfortunately like all government departments they are like a cancer that you can’t get rid of

They have corporations on the side that their government budgets just happen to pour money into for selected no-bids. Who do you think lives in those McMansions you see popping up everywhere? Hey, stealing from you and me beats working for living like an honest person. The medical bureaucracy is all about enriching the bureaucrat at your expense; it’s got nothing to do with healing the sick.

         It’s good to be a Canadian “public servant”.

8. I *worked* at Calgary Health Region in corporate management for a very brief time years ago. CHS is of course now part of AHS.

   I have never worked with a more corrupt, incompetent, lazy, obtuse, spendthrift, inefficient, and, frankly, mentally ill assortment of people in my entire life. And I used to be in the army.

   2. What you described about the CHR reminds me of what I heard about the Capital Health Authority in Edmonton.

9. In the 2020 version, amongst many other interesting tidbits, there were listed at least three RNs with base salaries of over $200K plus expenses, with one nurse coming in at over $300K (FFS!!!) base pay, plus expenses in the $40K range. Holy shiites!

10. This is why there is not enough money for diagnostics and surgery wait times are years long. These administrators at the top are like ticks on a deer sucking it dry.

11. Nothing will change until all of the bureaucracies are broken. We could lose 75% of them and not notice the difference.

With all of these overpaid and so called educated bureaucrats running the Alberta Health system, the best they could come up with to combat a virus is an emergency, untested so called “vaccine”??? Can none of them read? They could at least ask someone to read to them the results of some of the other drugs that are defeating the virus in other countries around the world. There seems to be more bureaucrats in the AHS than there are ICU beds in Alberta. This is disgusting on every level.
