10 dot T
PTO in (ie shut off) not even rocket science
You mean Id 10 t??
Coming on to the 407 from the 400 and noticed a sign just before exiting the on ramp “Truck Drivers ensure your load bucket has been lowered” or something to that effect. I remember thinking “that’s an odd sign”.
Now I know why.
I think it was a faulty flux capacitor!! (BACK TO THE FUTURE)
Be more useful if it’s in Punjabi.
Something similar happened on the Skyway bridge in Ontario a few years back. Alcohol was involved.
Did major structural damage resulting in total shutdown of the bridge for a while.
Alcohol and Hydraulic fluid can cause a nasty hangover.
waterhouse
and a too tight head diaper was also involved
Never forget working on power lines and the truck in front of us pulls up on the hwy to get around some obstacles with the bucket up and drives it right into an overpass…. Poor guy thought for sure he was getting canned until the boss shows up, looks up at the overpass and says, ‘did the same damn thing 12 years ago’.
Now was this always happening and we just hear about it now due to the internet or is there a new & improved form of stupidity at play??
Happened forever. Just now everyone has cameras 24/7.
A friend of mine used to drive logging trucks in Quennell BC this day he had a particularly high load and drove down the main street of the town tearing down all the wires along the way.
Wonder if the driver was one of ‘those’ people?
Strong possibility!
The guy in Ontario was. Pissed to the tits as well
Well the tarps screwed.
I’ve seen several farmers over the years take the header out of the shop or shed door when forgetting to lower the truck box completely.
was it 11ft 8?

it’s not the first time this has happened and it won’t be the last… I think Toronto gets 1 a year or so
I watched that clip. Not so funny that the vast majority of the trucks running afoul of the height restrictions were rentals.
a few weeks ago, heading east on Hwy #9, some idiot tried to beat traffic, turning left onto a secondary road with his straight job dump truck , and rolled it , dumping his load of gravel all over the intersection. And yup, a turbin jockey, them sum bitches just can’t drive!
Same thing happened here in Richmond BC about 20-30 years ago.
That driver wasn’t so lucky, though: his box DID NOT conveniently detach.
Instead, the box stopped dead, the truck jumped into the air and crushed the cab flat against the bottom of the overpass, killing the driver instantly (he probably never knew what hit him).
I’m not a truck driver, but wouldn’t the truck handle differently at freeway speeds with the box raised? Seems odd that drivers wouldn’t notice…
This happened to another overpass just last year in the west end of Ottawa.
.
Several years – 5? – another dump truck did it to a pedestrian bridge in west end Ottawa.
Not just the politicians who are stupid here.

They need a class at the DMV for paki-punjabs about how a side mirror works.
