    But I bet the Prime Moron is actually on side with not singing the anthem seeing as he’s attacked every other cultural, historical, and military aspect of the post-nation.

Thats why we are now bringing in thousands of 3rd world ” refugees ” , the one province that will maintain its cultural identity is Quebec thanks to their language police and uni-lingual status. The rest of us are encouraged federally to be bi-lingual and unfortunately we say OK Quebec have it your way.

    The school system- founded on principles to accommodate a demographic and then later reformed to again accommodate a demographic
    Bureaucracy- held to standards that have nothing to do with service and all about not offending the demographic of the moment

    Now the demographic groups are all fighting over the carcass.

    I’m American and I would care not a whit should an Englishman express his offense at my national anthem. The Confederacy lost too; should we accommodate their loser feelings? Should we be sensitive to the feelings of the Nazis?

    There IS a such thing as a right-of-conquest. The Irish, the Zulus, the Acadians, the so-called “Palestinians”, the Saxons, the Welsh, the Mayans, and, yes, the Natives lost. Sometimes losers get to live peacefully among their captors and sometimes they’re not as lucky.

  5. Maple Leaf Forever is the best choice for our anthem. O Canada has been bastardized already, may as well be scrapped, it’s really sadly out of the realm of the reality of this crazy country today. Besides, it would go well with the Pearson maple leaf flag.
    We need to get a movement going, if we can change a flag we can change an anthem.

The Maple Leaf Forever has a bit more life to it than the funeral dirge “Oh, Canada” (which is like a response someone would give to the question at the UN “I say old chap, what country does that delegation hail from?” To which the respondent replies in a down the nose derogatory manner “oh” sneeringly “Canada”).
      Guess my point is that most of the cultural icons promoted are less about legacy and more about accommodating someone to prove how much nicer we are than those Americans.

They’re not much better right now but at least they’re capable of turning things around while Canada has been sinking into socialism since the early 20th century. The countries with the highest satisfaction rates are the smaller ones that allow effective citizen participation. Alberta is 4M, with Saskatchewan 5.2,with NE BC say 6M. That is consistent with most effective small countries. Is there any argument for joining the US besides they may get better?

  16. Why would a post national state need a national anthem? Or National flag? Or national government?

    It’s time to dissolve the federation. It doesn’t do anything for any of us. If we get rid of it I still have a provincial government, a regional government and a city council to kneel on my neck.
