    1. Supermarkets SELL what their customers BUY! If there is a lack of fresh produce … it’s because the BIPOC’s are NOT BUYING it. It sits, rots, is thrown-away, and the store loses money. Any store that continues to provide unwanted perishables … goes out of business.

So … the government will dump $ millions into urban gardens in an Arctic Circle nation … and will throw-away 60% of everything they grow.

Pro tip: Michelle fat-azz Obama already tried this … and her target audience binned all her “healthy” food.

      Gawd Lefties are mentally deficient.

  1. Did I read that right? It’s no longer good enough to say “Boo hoo, I’m on stolen Indian land” and they now have to include blacks?

When’s the next flight to the Andromeda Galaxy? Mars wouldn’t be sufficiently far away for me.

    1. These are our politicians adopting the Obama’s administration or they’ll turn our currency to shit before it’s time.
As well as our native community sucking every penny from weak leadership who follows what the media wants.

  2. Like all good fascists, Tory has become omniscient and knows what is good for all including diet appropriate for people best considered through the lens of chemical determinism.

  3. I swear there are times I think a huge practical joke is being played on us. When someday the perpetrators will simply tell us, “Nah, we were just messin’ with you for the last few years…ok everyone, back to where we were before 9/11.”

    1. It is Canada where the terminally freaking stupid are running things. I was a free man until March of 2020 and the lies started about a fucking flu virus. It was a lie then it is a lie now, and unless we really start beating the shit out of our oppressors they will kill us….

  4. Regarding the Blueberry River decision, it’s about an hour’s drive from Fort St. John. That part of B. C. is slowly dying a death of a thousand cuts.

It’s a good thing that my parents aren’t around to see what’s happening to the area we moved to more than 60 years ago.

  5. So the chief, riding in a helicopter, is bemoaning the development on the land.
Development that does things like provide wood for the home he lives in, fuel for the helicopter he’s riding in and that heats his home.

Why do I get this feeling the root cause of his grief is that he feels his cut isn’t quite as large as he feels entitled to?
Same way the local band felt the Douglas Estates infringed on their traditional land (extortion) claims.

    1. The last time I was in the area of Wonowon (the nickname for the town of Blueberry, because it was located at Mile 101 of the Alaska Highway), there wasn’t much there. That was about 50 years ago, back when the AH was mostly gravel. I’m sure that it’s much more developed now.

And he’s complaining that people are better off now?

      1. Wonowon is still there, about the same for the last 30 odd years. The blueberry on the hiway is gone but the actual blueberry reserve is still there and looks ok I guess, for a reserve that is.
I think his complaint is that the area is being chipped away at, with each piece being treated as a stand alone, rather than considering the overall impact.
White or brown, it’s a lot of change for people to live with.

  6. I wonder if big chief Yahey of Blueberry pie indian reserve traded in his Caterpillar D-8 bulldozer for that Helicopter or does the big chief have both?

    1. Many of the reserves in the area are doing quite well, particularly after Treaty 8.

My late father used to do work for them once in a while. He liked dealing with them because they always paid cash.

  7. Re blueberry: I work in forestry in that area. The development in the last several years has been mindboggling. I am a forester. I derive significant income from developments in that area. I also sympathise with the band in this case. If the treaties have any worth at all, there has to be a better way for natives to have a real say.
Having had experience with the oil and gas commission myself, I would add that most “consultations” with affected parties are pure window dressing.

    1. To hell with treaties, live like the damn Canadians they are supposed to be. They had no written language , they enslaved other tribes people, they ate their dogs in the winter, they did not have the wheel, I am surprised they had fire. We are supposed to bow down to that level of ignorance?

      1. What are you talking about? They get an exception to keep their traditional AR-15’s they’ve always hunted with.

  8. “…more than 30% of black children live in ‘food insecure households’…”

Oh? Why might that be? Useless unemployable dropout cretins for parents? Parents on crack, meth, heroin? Parents one step away from tricking out their kids so they can buy more drugs? And the city is spending the earnings of working people on them because?…

Insane shit from Hell in an apparently endless supply. Our country is doomed.

    1. I worked with “poor” white women for almost 8 years, doing house cleaning. Only 2 out of 70 (over the 8 years, many quit because the work was “too hard”) had completed high school. These were the only 2 who picked up on how to make a budget classes which I gave.
The women always had money for tattoos, fake finger nails, beer, cigarettes, but never any money for rent or food for their children. One woman had 5 televisions plus a couple of X-Boxes in her house, took in over $ 4,000/month in child support and salary, but could not afford the $ 1,200/month rent on her townhouse and was evicted.
Perhaps most poor people in Toronto are “people of color” but poor white people are just as bad at making good life choices.

      1. Excellent comment Big Momma, we seem to be pandering to the POC in this country and it may be true that they are at a disadvantage but they along with all of the WHITE poor people seem to not do to much to improve themselves. They are happy to live off of the government assistance and then cry when they feel they are being treated differently.

The unfortunate part is over the last year we seem to be bending over backwards to please them, but who pays for this?

It is not just the so called WHITE PRIVELEGE people it is all people who work in this country to try and earn a decent, honest living through our tax dollars.

WELFARE BUM’S as I refer to them have been doing this for years and believe me they know how to work the system.

Don’t get me started on the new immigrants, free health care, free or reduced housing expense, child care etc.

      2. Sounds like reality to me. Damn right poor people are poor because of bad life choices, but we’ll never hear that from the elite bags of garbage that rule over us. I won’t even bother going into how they account for there being successful people of all races – just look up “cognitive dissonance.”

I’ve been poor, lived among poor people, had close friends who were poor – and not a one of us was in that situation because of some disadvantage due to an accident of birth, like skin pigment. We had all, every one of us, made bad life choices. One dude I met was half Black, half Native, and he was completely dismissive of people who thought their problems were other peoples’ fault. He was exceptional for sure; we could use a Prime Minister like him. Not holding my breath. 🙁

  9. It’s very sad to see that my family thinks I’m some sort of right wing nut bar when I try to point out what is going on . Canada is being torn apart piece by piece ,day by day . I see no silver lining.

    1. Chitlins, collards, Popeye’s? Ribs? Chicken with waffles and scotch with milk? Olde English 800 and a big fat blunt?

More stupid racist patronizing from sons of bitches who need to be stamped underfoot ASAP.

  10. I was going to comment but what would be the point? So many excellent comments above. The ones sticking with me the most was Kenji at 2.29 pm. The stores will stock what their customers buy, and quit losing money on food that they didn’t, or won’t buy! Big Momma as well, at 2,41 pm, excellent points. poor education, poor budgeting, poor choices, are not tied to ones race or skin color. It seems that reverse racism is considered acceptable in Tronna! Us whitey’s need to keep our mouths shut and check our privilege.
