John I being such a weak king that his barons were able to force him to sign a document ceding much of his regnal power to them, that he promptly ignored and then shat himself to death during a civil war, allowing his barons to force his son and the Prince Regent to re-sign the document so they could consolidate their power?
The Magna Carta isn’t what people think it is. It was about the landholding aristocracy wresting power from a weak king, nothing more.

I know what you’re referring to. I encountered similar mentality while I was a grad student at UBC. The Vancouverites figured they knew more about that sort of thing than I did.
I only grew up within 2 hours drive from at least 3 reserves and went to school with some of them. Then again, growing up in the Peace River block meant to the Lotuslanders that I was from the wrong part of B. C.
I have lived in northern communities where there is a large indigenous presence. And let me tell you, there is nothing sacred or spiritual about them. I could tell you stories that would curl your hair. But if I do, I’m a “racist” and a “bigot”. Don’t believe everything the Liberal bought and paid for press tells you.

There is a reserve just east of Calgary that the highway passes though with a few houses on each side of the road.The houses are not fancy but reasonable well looked after.BUT there is not a fu#king tree or shrub or flower anywhere to be seen. As this is near Calgary the reason can’t be climate or poor soil. I can see where the natives in the arctic don’t have trees or flowers or shrubs but given there is plenty of that in Calgary there is no reason they can grow it 15 miles away.

It’s truly unfortunate but natives because of their environment, we’re unable to evolve much past the caveman. For a culture to evolve, their environment must not be too harsh or too easy. Living in the Prairies is just too harsh which has left them in culture shock when the settlers arrived. Imagine us if humans arrived 2000 years ahead of us from another planet and put us schools to catch up in 12 years. The fact that a few of them have progressed is actually pretty impressive.
Little do they know but the elites plan on taking all the white men off the land and sticking them in their planned cities. Then they plan on giving the land back to the savages and forcing them to return to the old ways so the white people can come and watch them living in squalor and poverty.
