      The PC party needs to be led by a fighter – a RIGHT WING fighter not some wishy washy “woke” fool who gets most of his platform advice, it seems, from LIEBERAL election strategists. Sadly he is our ONLY choice right now. ANY vote for another leader or party is, in effect, a vote for trudy.

      1. I thought those ads were quite good — with exactly the right message. Unfortunately, not to many Canadians were paying attention. I also liked that earlier test ad with Trudeau in the Aladan costume. People criticized that and Cons got a lot of push back, but they were accurate — and the Aladan character is exactly who our PM is. Tough, but true.

          Implies that his problem was that he did not have enough experience, that there was a possibility that some day he might be ‘ready’ (whatever ‘ready’ even means).
          That is what ‘Not Ready’ by itself would have communicated. But Cons tacked ‘Just’ on too, as if that was his only problem. Like everything else about him and his ideas was cool, but the one flaw he had was that he was ‘Just’ not ready
          Take an extreme example, say, an actual pig running for PM. It would be factually correct (but not very damning) to say the pig is “Not Ready”. It would not be factually correct to say the pig is “JUST Not ready”, the pig has multiple problems, the inability to ever be ready among them
          All to get some adolescent play-on-words on his name (could probably replace ‘all’ with ‘just’. Seems their clever joke was as deep as the writers thought about it)

        It was a well thought out ad that still resonates true today.

  3. Good ad, accurate but tame imo. This is the kind of ad the Cons should be running but won’t. The Cons probably wouldn’t be allowed to run an ad like this anyhow, the corrupted Media would simply do what they did during past elections and not allow criticisms ( “attack ads” ) against their globalist turd nugget, Juthtin Turdhole. Will Canadas monopolized and compromised Globalist and State Media allow this ad to be run on their networks ?

    I’m waiting for the ad that warns Canadians ( too late ) about the dangers inherent in authoritarian Globalism and how Turdhole is a pathologically mendacious globalist psychopath hell bent on imposing a CCP style Basic Dictatorship.

    1. It can work, without the “coming up the middle scenario”. My offspring told me about a plan for online strategic vote trading.

      How it is done is that if your preferred party has no hope in your riding, you can find a Canadian buddy in a riding that is winnable and trade. So he is voting NDP in a hopeless riding for conservatives in BC for the buddy’s CPC vote in a swing Toronto-area riding, where the NDP never wins. Win-win, if the NDP person in BC gets in, and the Toronto CPC candidate gets in.

      In my riding (Hedy Fry) will win, so my choices are to vote CPC to help their popular vote, or PPC to vote my for my real conservative policy choices and get MAX to the official debates next time. He needs 4% and a seat.

      Strategic voting can be useful sometimes.

      As for the ad itself, let’s remember the old adage, if you’re going to take a shot at the queen, make it count. If Justine holds on to power she’ll be coming for you. Justine’s feminine side is very nasty.

    People keep claiming to hold conservative values, but paradoxically continue to support people who purge actual principled conservatives from their party.

    No pro-life allowed.
    No fighting against mandatory vaccinations allowed.
    No attacking Trudeau allowed.

    Only campaigning against Bernier, while claiming “we’re your only chance to defeat Trudeau”.

  23. I think some commenters are being too hard on the “Just Not Ready” ad. The ad itself was fine; it planted the seed. The problem was, they overwatered the seed; overuse led the ad either to become white noise or the object of mockery. No, the ad was good for 7-10 days, tops. It should have been retired and the bright sparks in the back room tasked with coming up with something new.

    In the last days of the campaign, it was time for version two, with excerpts from the original ad, clips of all the ridiculous things Blackie had to say during the campaign, with the conclusion being something like, “We thought he was ‘just not ready’. He’s 44 years old. It’s clear that he will never be ready to lead this nation.”

    On the other hand, the CPC left it too long to unleash its own leader. They had a pretty good ad showing Mr Harper’s work ethic and serious attention to the nation’s business. But it came out far too late. They let Mr Harper talk to local media, and his performance demonstrated that he should have been doing that from the start of the campaign, to counter directly the lies and misdirection of the national media.

    The same sort of people who mismanaged the 2015 (and 2019) campaigns are still running the show at the CPC. Perhaps the major downside of a possible O’Toole victory would be that they’ll think that they are smarter than they already do.

    3. Junior’s daddy has been given divine honours by the state apparatchiks; Junior is Son of the Deified
    4. Junior inherits all the political advantages of the criminal network known as the Natural Governing Party, or Liberal Party for short
    5. Junior is naturally supported by corporate and state media; even so, he feels it necessary to brazenly transfer billions of future tax payer dollars to them and protects them from financial disclosure
    6. Junior ransacks posterity by hocking the whole place, compounding the impossible debt burden daddy created; Junior proceeds to bribe his left-wing/marxist/bolshevik/gimmefreeshit political base
    7. Junior’s political adversaries are generally incompetent at best, or at worst, some measure of “controlled opposition” or compromised/bought off

    And yet, despite ALL these advantages, seemingly overwhelming when taken together, Junior still only received 33% nationwide popular vote. The (as yet) ALL-TIME RECORD LOW popular vote for ANY federal party elected or returned to government in Canadian history.

    I will preach this evangel until the good people of this blog’s comment section stop accepting the enemy’s propaganda: Junior is not popular, he is not at all likeable, he is not invincible, even if he “wins” politically, his “victory” requires every corrupt trick in the book. Do not let yourself think what Junior wants you to think, that he is a winner. He is weak and vulnerable.
