How the government does research: “This is the result we want. You (Scientist) shall make it so.”
If you have ever bunted heads with the government where the government relied on its “scientists” you will know that is how they do it.
Funding bodies generally don’t like paying for research that might produce negative results or disprove the concepts which they financed.

Way back in the day, we called it “fraud.”
On top of that, produce too many negative results (however true they may be), and the funding dries up as does one’s prospects for tenure and a seat at the golden hog trough.
Can’t sue the gov’t for the consequences of misleading gov’t statements.

So it could be that the sheep that were so eager to line up for the vaccines may have added to the Darwin theory and saved us all a lot of problems by taking themselves out of the genetic pool.

A private enterprise could lose its shirt if it relied on bogus cheated resuklts. Governments, howevere, have no such problem and all government research is political, not scientific or commercial. By definition.
