The fascist government of China has rejected the appeal of a Canadian convicted of drug smuggling. Whether its true or not that he was involved with drug smuggling, we do know that his original sentence was changed from 15 years to the death sentence when the Huawei executive was detained. No word from Dear Leader yet, as he is taking another day off at Harrington Lake. By the way, the media seems silent on that confidential meeting they were to have with the Liberal government yesterday about the election campaign. Another day on Turtle Island.

Our corrupted politicians could have bought his freedom in a dozen different ways…
Being a nobody, he doesn’t count and makes the media’s curiosity piece on a slow news day.
Communist, surely.
My point exactly. OJ, the chinese government is Communist. They own the means of production. That’s why its fatally flawed to allow Chinese companies trade “freely” with the West and they buy up Canadian things. They ARE for the most part Communist Party things.
The Liberals and their Canadian Media were meeting to discuss more Conservative attack ads made with your money by the “journalist” union.
If conservatives had any cojones at all, the Canadian Media would face protest signs and fervent heckling everywhere and anywhere, at the very least.
Maybe even a mostly peaceful protest.
But everyone, particularly Liberals and their Media, know that conservatives are dickless.
So it continues. And will.
Despite the endless whining and nothing else.
Isn’t it time to actually do something or just shut the hell up!
This has nothing to do with the conservatives, we have a liberal prime minister, why is he doing nothing to free these Canadians in China?
Just an FYI.
Ivison wrote a piece of which the content is irrelevant but for one piece of information.
In his column he claims the writ is going to drop this Sunday.
We will get to see how connected Ivison is.
WRT the extradition case.
The defence strategy appears to be delay ad infinatum.
Their latest claim is that because Trump suggested he had the ability to intervene but didn’t, would bring the court into disrepute if the extradition was to proceed.
Yet somehow arresting two Canadians on specious charges immediately after Meng’s detention is not an attempt by the communists to intervene in the case.
Is there some bill that requires a vote of confidence coming up? he can’t drop the writ without losing a confidence vote
Actually seeing the GG to advise that the Parliament needs a new mandate at any time is within the prerogative of the Prime Minister.
The only difference a vote of confidence does is force the Prime Minister to hold another vote of confidence, prorogue, or advise the GG they don’t have the confidence of Parliament to continue governing.
Other than the media going hostile nothing seems to interfere with the designs of the sock monkey.
They have a plan to have an election, the question is why haven’t they done so already?
They need to get the level of fear back up so they can justify mail-in voting.
The Governor General has absolute power to call an election. The Governor General has a nearly absolute requirement to follow the Prime Minister’s recommendation. The exception is that the Governor General can replace a Prime Minister who loses an election.
If we allow the CCP to have/buy the played-out gold mine in the NWT, the one on the coast with the deep water port, and the air port, then maybe, MAYBE, they will treat our fellow Canadians better? MAYBE?? Sarcasm is now off!
There is no dealing with those Chinese bastards, just keep buying that garbage with “MADE IN CHINA” on it. And keep voting for the local Liberal bastards!
Today while the two Michaels rot in a Chinese shit hole, the Huawei executive’s lawyers will argue that charges against her should be dropped because of the abuse she has suffered. Poor thing.
Actually they pulled the last defence they have.
They invoked the name Donald Trump.
The decision will come down in about March of next year.
I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the career criminal drug dealer getting caught up in Chinese totalitarian bullying, but the two Michaeals are there on nonsense and it’s time to play hardball with China and not take the Schellenberg bait.
If it were me, Meng Meng would be sporting prison garb awaiting her extradition unless the Michaels are on the next plane from China to Canada, and if the bullies in Bejing choose to retaliate, we have several measures we can pursue, all the way to recalling our ambassador, revoking recognition of China, including all the work and student visa types who get deported.
Yes, we could lose the Michaels because this sadistic regime likes to inflict pain, but letting this go on is more cruel imo.
You can’t play footsies with fascists. Appeasement is seen as our weakness and emboldens them.
Have we learned nothing from history? Have we cancelled our common sense?
“Have learned nothing from history? Have we cancelled our common sense”? The answer to the first question is no/yes, language can be difficult, and the answer to the second question is yes. I will bet what I just said confuses the hell out of some people.
Well that would involve using common sense, so yes/yes ignorant people would be confused.
@Shamrock:
We have no leverage with China. We would need to present a strong united response with the USA to have any kind of bargaining power. However that is not going to happen. I would not be surprised if Trudeau caves in completely and sends Meng Wong Tong home.
I just described the leverage we have with China, with thousands of their nationals in our country.
The fact that cowardly politicians won’t use that leverage is hardly evidence we don’t have leverage.
The fact that corrupt politicians worldwide are getting rich off China doesn’t change that they useful idiots of the CCP.
I doubt cabin boy will orchestrate Meng’s return to China unless the Biden administration requires them to do so.
Or drops the charges so no reason for extradition. I haven’t seen evidence of that happening but we will see.
Can you just call it Canada, please? Enough of the Turtle Island bit.
Juthtin along with the Indian Grievance Industry is working on getting the name of Canada removed from the English language except for footnotes. However Quebec will remain Quebec.
Oh, OK, now I understand. I didn’t get the reference. (I live abroad, and not that up on Canadian stuff these days.)
Sure thing.
Of course not all the “Non-settlers” would agree with this name. I believe some have a raven as a mythical origin beast and others such as the Inuit have their own as well.
Either way it is rapidly becoming a socialist/communist paradise where all will be slaves to the state. The dumb assed indians have no idea what is about to happen to their meal ticket.
SeAsalt
I kinda pefer KANADANSK…a country overflowing with brain dead North American Clot Shotted Leftists – Marxists – Communists…..and far far too many Karens.
One of the big dangers of all these Chinese connections is we’ll decide that their methods of dealing with the criminal element have merit and abandon our innocent until proven guilty principles. Shooting the drug dealers does have an attraction even for principled guys like I like to think I am.
Dude smuggled drugs in Canada and did time. I’m no proponent of state executions – except for pedos – but you have to wonder if he’s a stupid ******* idiot. I realize the Chicoms upped the punishment because of Meng, but I really haven’t much sympathy.
Quite the pickle Trudeau finds himself in. Only the U.S. can save his sorry ass now and I’m sure he’s counting on them for the rescue.
Even Meng herself is playing hardball – The U.S. Justice dept. has floated the idea where she could admit to wrongdoing in a U.S. court and they’ll send her back home to China. But she insists she did nothing wrong and doesn’t like the idea of being on U.S. soil – so no deal.
And what a great feeling it must be to appeal your sentence only to have the judge stick it to you with a heavier sentence.
Reminds me of the movie “Midnight Express”.
More likely that kind of a deal would end with her getting lead poisoning once she lands on Chinese soil.
only our guys in china getting the feet beating
Terrible abuse! Living in her mansion in Hongcouver overlooking the ocean! It seems she can get away from the mansion on occasion, with security, of course.
The most obvious response is to pick off the street of Vancouver one with a high social credit score and unceremoniously put a bullet in their head, then deliver a bill for the bullet to the Chicom consulate. Lather rinse repeat until every Canadian is freed. Do not allow anyone with a high social credit score to leave the country. Force all to wear ankle bracelets. Freeze their assets. Freeze all assets of all Chicom investors. Trade diplomatic staff and break diplomatic relations. Of course that is what a country that isn’t a Chicom puppet would do.
