A test so accurate, a vaccine so effective…

Rahm subsequently was vaccinated and came back with negative test results ahead of the U.S. Open two weeks later, was cleared to play by the USGA under its health protocols, and went on win his first career major at Torrey Pines.

    And is seeking to have a multitude test to break down these bugs to find out what you actually have.
    But this test was supposed to be exclusive to Covid testing.
    Sort of makes sense of why we had no flu season…it was classed as Covid and not influenza and nobody was testing influenza, just Covid testing.
    Daily Covid testing numbers…by the thousands.
    Damn science experts…not ever classed as being wrong.

        As for the PCR test, the site you indicated doesn’t appear to discuss this.
        And as for our Canadian government subsidized Global News, they report the scary stories their bosses tell them to report – in this case Global seem to be basing their comments on what came from MB’s Prov. Health Officer, a province which seems to be an outlier for some reason? Maybe we’ll find out in the future that it was actually the politicians, and not the Whu-flu, that killed people in that province with their messed-up policies and inaccurate PCR tests?
        After wasting my time with your links, why should I continue bothering to pay attention to you?

          Yeah, I know. JJDFB’s argument is that there actually WAS a flu season, but that COVID PCR tests “can’t distinguish between viruses” and therefore classed all of the positive results (which remember, according to JJDFB, included a whole bunch of results positive for flu rather than COVID) as COVID instead of influenza.

          Which is utter bunk, as anyone with any high school science-level understanding of RT PCR can tell you.

          The CDC link I provided isn’t about the PCR test. It’s about their ongoing influenza surveillance system, and was meant to rebut JJDFB’s insinuation that the CDC wasn’t actively monitoring flu levels this past season (“…and nobody was testing influenza, just Covid testing.”)

            That last sentence implies the current test DOES NOT distinguish between covid and flu.

          The CDC panel was the first to receive an FDA EUA back in Feb 2020 when COVID was still emerging. There are now dozens of similar EUA-backed PCR panels available from commercial entities, so there’s no longer a market rationale for the CDC one.

    3. You’re assuming CDC didn’t know this a year ago. The test served its purpose and is no longer needed. What I would like to know is how many jurisdictions were using this specific test and not other ones.

      Alberta Health claimed–when I asked them directly, mind you–not just that they were testing for influenza separately, but that they had increased their testing over the previous years. And yet, the cases remained stubbornly at zero-point-zero. Take that as you will.

    1. I haven’t had any encounters with Kens or Karens but I have rehearsed my script which is simplicity itself:
      I have no symtpoms but if I did, as a responsible citizen I would stay home, fight it out, recover and achieve natural immunity. I would not go out EVEN WITH A MASK ‘cos masks don’t work, viz., they’re as effective as a chain link fence trying to keep insects out.

  7. I am a little surprised that professional athletes, especially at the elite level, are so quick to go get the jab. When they care so much about what they put into their bodies on a daily basis, why would they opt to put this junk into themselves?

    I’m curious to see what happens with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay this season. I can’t see him lining up to get jabbed but, under the new NFL protocols, is he going to feel the pressure?

  10. When as a kid building sandcastles, would test if this works and that works.
    It worked.
    A morning after rain the sandcastle was gone.
    The ‘Experts’ are testing sandcastles live to see what works.
    When things don’t work live, they will use their leaned rhetoric to explain it into the out, while trying out some other scheme to see if it just works or something.

    It is all trial and error, sometimes knowledge come to come to airy conclusion. Other times it is, just get something done, anything, to show we are working on it live.

  11. Two things:

    #1: The PCR test’s SOLE purpose is to try to identify what is making a sick person sick, so it should ONLY be used on individuals who present with symptoms. It should NOT EVER be used as “proof of a negative”. In that role it is USELESS and has put a great many people through unnecessary grief. It should therefore NOT be used to “permit” certain activities, such as travel, or crossing borders, or even for that matter going to work. Don’t even get me started on normal activities such as going to a concert or a restaurant.

    #2: The “96% of all infections/hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated” claim that has been circulating recently is a bare-faced LIE!
    What they are doing is using “unvaccinated” and “not fully vaccinated” interchangeably. “Not fully vaccinated” means you’ve only had one shot, or it has been less than two weeks since your second one. So what they’ve done is created only two categories: “Vaccinated”, and “Unvaccinated”, and have added all of the “not fully vaccinated” individuals to the “unvaccinated” column, and yes, a bunch of these people have become sick. Therefore they are LYING to you (again).
