Canada’s public pension fund has invested millions of dollars in companies accused of bolstering China’s military-industrial complex — companies the U.S. government has barred Americans from putting their money into because they allegedly pose a security threat.
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has invested $3 million in shares of a company that makes components for Chinese warships, and another $2 million in a company affiliated with a manufacturer of fighter jets and unmanned drones, according to its most recent holdings disclosure.
Canada’s former ambassador to China called the pension’s investments troubling.
It’s an excellent plan. You have to collect for about 17 years to get the money you paid in returned. If they invest in companies that shorten that period there will be a large surplus to pilfer!
Con, you got it backwards, they pilfered those fund a long time ago, (Chretien Liberals) the investments are to ensure they get better treatment from the CCP when the takeover is completed. As to the plan, they didn’t have a plan. Having to pay out on people having an extended life after their bodies were worn out at retirement wasn’t planned on at all. The irony, is “they” should be screwed because of it, but “they” aren’t, we, the peasants, ARE!
My not very well communicated point was they lessen the period you collect . Helping the Chinese develop military hardware could well achieve that should their viruses and vaccinations fail. The claims they are generating returns on the money they collect are farcical at best.
They are counting on the side effects of the experimental gene therapy to remove old Canadians so that they don’t have to pay out the benefits. And then the immigrants will all vote Liberal because of the benefits that they will receive out of the remaining pool.
