        2. Interesting point. As a young person I did not know that maples were limited to Eastern Canada. I was living in Winnipeg and wanted to introduce my toddler son to different types of trees. I was astonished not to be able to find a maple tree. Ultimately I got my mom in the US to send some maple leaves to Canada. Seemed crazy at the time.

There are a few varieties of sugar maple that will survive in much of the west. “Inferno” is likely the hardiest plus “Unity” and “Lord Selkirk.” From pictures the fall colour appears more orange than red. If you buy one and it dies, don’t come whining to me because I am no expert in trees.

It looks like the suspension is temporary. If you read Patrick Byrne’s book, there is no doubt about election fraud.     1. Maybe there needs to be more research done, more truth seeking rather than going off half cocked as seems to be the case all to often when dealing with serious matters.

      1. I suspect every single grave was known and likely marked at the time, probably by wood. I suspect every single death was properly recorded. I suspect every single parent knew what happened to their kids. These schools are almost all on reserves and any graves dug were likely done by Indians. Priests and schoolteachers do not dig graves. I also suspect that some of these cemeteries were also used as community cemeteries.

        I have looked up Alberta death records from the early 20th Century. The survivor filled out a form at the post office, then went home and started digging a hole. I likely used to farm over a few 1900 – 1920 graves but am not sure. Today the whole quarter is cleared and the owners definitely farm over the graves.

  23. Montreal, my home town, is old. It has great restaurants, great shopping and a great Subway system. The latter made the City a giant Metropolis and thus enabled the amalgamation of the suburbs into the City Administration. The revitalization of Old Montreal was also a lovely idea to lure tourism as well as the City gardens and the Park on “The Mountain” aka, Mount Royal.

    The graffiti that passes for ‘art’ on the side of many buildings has ruined everything. It’s a crying shame. Glad I left the place in the 1970s.
