          1. Like I said earlier, context is important. What were the circumstances of those deaths? Did they happen all at once or over several decades?

Actually, in the latter part of the 19th century, many, many white kids all over the British Empire were whisked off to boarding school, essentially by the state (think of some of the kids of widowed, less well-to-do soldiers of the Empire). Many were abused and many died of illnesses or neglect.

            As of 1900, the West suffered a child moratlity rate of around 20% in the under-5 age-group. It is interesting to compare those numbers with infant mortality rates in the aboriginal population prior to the arrival of white settlers. For instance between 0 AD and 1700, global population grew at just 0.04% per year, and most of that was between 1500 and 1700. Why, when the average ‘litter’ even among white Europeans was 5-6 babies? At that rate, population triples every few years? The average age of a first pregnancy was around 18-19. So child mortality was at epic proportions, across the world. Allegedly, the aboriginal population was flatlined as well, before Europeans arrived, so that means epic mortality (in brutal genocidal conflicts or childe deaths as well, or maybe no sex more than 2-3 times per year? Seems doubtful. (birth control wasn’t around yet).

            Only since about 1950 has the juvenile mortality rate in the West dropped below about 5%. Canada finally beats the US as of about 1952! Prior to that time, Canada exceeded the US.

            If 6,000 aboriginal kids died in boarding schools, how many died outside boarding schools? Did the boarding schools experience statistically significantly higher child mortality than the general aboriginal population? Than the general non-aboriginal population? Were the schools increasing aboriginal life expectancy? Or decreasing it? How about the life expectancy of surviving aboriginal students into adulthood as compared between school survivors, and those who did not attend schools? Better or worse?

            See, when lefties say “trust the science, stupid”, well, then, we start to do science, no? We skip the feelz, and dig far and wide into the crime scene.

            Or we can do stuff on feelz, and hope it all works out in the end, I guess? In which case my feelz are that a woman has a vagina and a man has a penis. My feelz are that the climate is fine. My feelz are that women and black folk in the West are doing just fine.

      3. What people fail to realise is that this issue is far more complicated and complex than what is generally thought. It is easier to cry “racism!” than it is to critically look at the issue in its entirety and come to a conclusion, even if that conclusion upsets the gravy train.

        There probably were people who despised Aboriginals for their race and culture and thought they could use some “whitening up”. There were also people who, though misguided at worst, thought that plunging members of a Stone Age culture into a modern age without an adjustment period would do some good. There are also people who saw neglected children and could not stand that morally.

        This was also in an era when child mortality rates were high and child rearing tactics ranged from kind to indifferent to abusive. Yes, the latter is appalling, as it was across the board.

        This issue also obscures the other dreadful things that were allowed in ages past. How many kids from the British Isles were dumped in Canada as cheap labour, not adopted children as they were promised? Doesn’t THAT deserve some traction?

    They pulled it down right in front of a Minnesota State Highway Patrol CAPTAIN after he warned them not to do it. No one was arrested, detained, or even inconvenienced. The video made the newscasts. People were outraged. there was over $150,000 in damages.

  8. Ryerson was instrumental in setting up free education for all children in Upper Canada, claiming that it was a Christian duty to help them.

    He was not actually stupid, and opposed educating girls beyond the elementary level, considering it wasted on women whose proper place was as wives and mothers, and liable mostly to give them notions above their proper place.

    Was universal education supposed to help the poor children, white and red? Because the more I see of its effects, the more convinced I become that all “education” did was make the scum of Upper Canada, white, red, and dogscat-coloured, even more ungovernable than they absolutely had to be.

    If Ryerson had really wanted to help the poor children, he might have recommended neutering and spaying them, rendering them docile and unable to breed another generation of shiftless morons like themselves.

  9. Ryerson lived on a reserve as a Methodist minister. He was an advocate for Indians and was adopted by a tribe. He had great interest in teaching farming methods so Indians could be self sufficient. And is credited for creation of the education system in Ontario. But why let facts get in the way of a good riot by leftists and modern whiny Indian activists. AND WHERE THE HELL WERE THE DIVERSE POLICE!!

      1. About three years ago we were hiring co-op students out of U of T Mississauga. The few times I had to go to the campus in person I realized that in an hour or so of wandering around from office to office I was the only white person I’d seen.

  13. Ryerson is a polytech. Not a University. It has always been full of those who could niether secure a job at a real university or get accepted into one. It “teaches” journalism FFS. Like its a real subject? There is nothing worthy about the place and one should never hire any grad. This is what you get. A whiny self absorbed bitching grievance machine.

I recall in university my roommate was quite chuffed that the same year his Aerospace Engineering program was accredited by the PEO, U of T lost theirs for not teaching enough specialized courses – making his Rye High eng degree worth more than a U of T grad’s.

    Were the children taken by force from their families? If yes, it is a problem for those that are responsible, the government of Canada, the bureaucrats and all the machinery of the ruling class.
    What is wrong exactly when people that die are buried?
    Were they sick?
    Were they denied care?
    Are there any records why those children died?
    Are nuns and other servants buried in the same place?
    Were these children killed? No doubt the media cartel and the bottom feeders would really, really like that.
    Was it often at the time that many children died wherever they were regardless of their ancestry?

    Anybody asked for an opinion fall all over themselves to say how bad those other ones over there were.

    Why is it that nobody is digging for the truth? Is it so the media cartel can go on and create mass hysteria that Canadian are nothing but racist killers?

    Ottawa has increasingly centralized all power into the PMO and never loosened control and allowed any Freedom in the Provinces to develop on their own Democratically. The Indians should have years ago been integrated in society.
    But over 100 years of Liberal judges and the massive Bureaucracy of the various governments in Canada would never allow this to happen.
    The only way forward now is violent revolution by the various Multicult factions or a break up of the country into manageable sizes.
    Given the debt burden and level of debt and coming bankruptcy of our 3 levels of government.
    I suspect Canada will fade beneath the waves.
