Between April 7 and April 24, the public health agency identified 165 flights from 19 countries, with at least one passenger who later tested positive for COVID-19.

Forty-three of the flights came from India, 29 from the United States, 30 from Europe and 17 from the United Arab Emirates. Only one flight originated in Pakistan.

  1. I’ve mentioned this before, but it’s worth repeating here.

    In the past year, I’ve flown numerous times to and from my house in B. C. Many of those flights went through Vancouver. On two separate occasions, I’ve seen Chinese airliners taxiing along the tarmac, presumably to stop at a terminal gate.

    Each happened while our federal government claimed that travel to Canada from foreign countries were suspended.

      Clearly, applying disease quarantine protocols without allowing the normal race exemptions must be racist. What, do you think that everyone can be held to the same standards or something?

    No flights to/from China have ever been stopped.

    1. Or … simply use the TSA … as in America’s TSA checkpoints. Oh no! Don’t take temperatures, or mandate tests of any sort. That would be “profiling”. So operate your airports like the TSA … wherein you RANDOMLY pull passengers aside for testing … hoping you might catch 1 in 1,000 COVID Terrorists.

  3. The fact the flights are constant gives the lie to the necessity for lockdowns, masks and business closures.

    1. That’s what I think. I do not want them to stop flights. I want them to lift the lockdowns. I also want them to stop all the unnecessary testing. If people are not sick, they are not transmitting. A positive PCR test is not an indication that the person is infectious.

    Ban all flights, no exceptions?

    Mandatory 2-week quarantine facility?

    Open all borders because COVID-19 is “just the flu”/a media-induced panic/deep state-created lie?

    Keep in mind that tourist/leisure/pleasure-related air travel from anywhere in the world is already prohibited at the moment. Anyone on a flight into Canada—including those on the 59 flights from the US and Europe noted above, and including SDA folks, their friends and family who are returning from vacations and winter snowbirding in the southern US—is entering for a specific permitted reason (Canadian citizen with right of re-entry, employment purposes, family reunification, international students, etc.).

    Let’s hear it, collective brain trust — please share your consensus of workable, legal, innovative ideas that’ll put our inept elected officials to shame.

    1. Dole out hcq and Zn ++ to all arrivals for directly observed consumption then wish them a pleasant trip.

    2. The Marseilles quarantine was because the variant of bubonic plague that was in the city killed one out of 3 inhabitants. Not just seniors, not just the sick, 1 in 3 of all residents. No one was allowed in or out. If you crossed the border wall then you would be shot on sight.

      If a disease is bad enough that a quarantine is needed then it needs to be total. If it doesn’t need to be a total quarantine to preserve life (close ports, close airports, close the border) then stop farting around with these stupid population control measures.

      If the disease is within an order of magnitude of a normal flu season then give warnings but force nothing, because damage to the economy and the distribution systems that the economy depend upon will kill far more than the disease will. For example – 100 million people have been returned to the “extreme poverty” rolls around the world because of the depressed economy. If average life expectancy in those nations is 100, then the 20 years that have been taken off the average life expectancy mean that the lockdowns caused the equivalent of 20 million deaths. If life expectancy is 50 years in those countries, then the lockdowns caused the equivalent of 40 million deaths. If the “cure” kills more than the disease, then DON’T DO IT.

        :Social distancing prevents people from obtaining the NECESSARY amount of Bacterial/ viral material to keep their Immune systems up to snuff.

        :Lockdowns to keep people isolated (similar result to Social distancing)
        :Mass use of sanitizer – also to kill off any bacterial/viral matter your immune system actually NEEDS.

        All those “passive” things were designed to prevent HERD IMMUNITY and will eventually compromise many folks…and READy them for the Trojan Horse non vaccines that are the REAL killers in this scenario IMO.

          1. 235M is the number of doses administered, which does not translate into 235M immune citizens (e.g., Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna require 2 doses for full vaccine efficacy, etc.). Also, your calculations wrongly assume that there’s no overlap between those who’ve recovered from COVID and those who’ve received a vaccine (see this FAQ, question 8: cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/faq.html).

            Still, with about 43% of the US population having received at least one dose (30% have been fully vaccinated), and let’s generously say that another 20% are recovered COVID cases (test-confirmed or otherwise), and let’s even more generously assume that none of them overlap with the vaccinated population, then yes, the US does appear to be getting close to the presumed herd immunity threshold. Not there yet, but close — as their attenuated wave 3 epi curve suggests.

          3. Yes, you should be vaccinated regardless of whether you already had COVID-19. That’s because experts do not yet know how long you are protected from getting sick again after recovering from COVID-19. Even if you have already recovered from COVID-19, it is possible—although rare—that you could be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 again.             Sorry … that’s not an answer. That’s speculation and FEAR. We’ve been tracking this pandemic with *ahem* granular data for more than a year. We know EXACTLY how many people have gotten re-infected after exposure and immunity … and the number is infinitesimal … which is why the CDC won’t publicize it. (Obliquely call it “rare”). The CDC filters out all the “granular” data that doesn’t conform to their political ideology.

            I’ll concede that only 43% (142,692,987) of the American people have received only one dose of the vaccine. Every one of those people are getting their second doses within the next two weeks. Right? Then, two weeks hence … they’re fully protected.

            OK … so my math will be right by Memorial Day. Then at least 81% of America will be immune from the dreaded c-19. And we will have achieved herd immunity (70% of population) by mid May.

            The mask should drop in May. Fully. Gone. No need. Let the children play together on the playground for God’s sake!

            True, reinfection has so far been rare, but BY THE LOGIC OF YOUR OWN ARGUMENT, all we know then is that natural immunity seems to last for at least a year, i.e., as long as the pandemic has been going on. We don’t know whether it’ll continue to last for the rest of one’s life, or if it’ll taper off, say, 15 months after infection.

            Which is exactly what the CDC and other experts are conceding — they don’t know. Nobody knows. It’s the subject of ongoing study, but hence their **recommendation** in the meantime to get vaccinated even after a recovery from infection. If, hypothetically, immunity wanes after 15 months, and you got COVID in April 2020, then you’re either susceptible again this coming July if you don’t get a shot, or immune again through July 2022 if you do.

          7. The CDC **hypothetical** nee “recommendation” is absurd and unprecedented. I’ve had multiple vaccinations in my lifetime … for many potentially DEADLY viruses … and never once was I told … “don’t go play in the water for the next three years, because you might still contract polio”.

      I favour this one, but I would not put it that way. Open the borders because it is futile to try to stop transmission of a virus and because fatality from this virus is very low. Lockdowns and border closures are unnecessary, excessive measures.

    Of course, he also assured me that waiting five times longer than the manufacturer recommends between “vaccine” doses was a super-effective policy, backed by fantastic evidence.

    1. Yes. Much needed. It would clear the air, possibly result in some modification of policies or possibly generate some tolerance and sympathy for the government handling of the issue. CBC needs to cover this — or maybe TVO. At the very least, TVO/Agenda needs to interview the challengers. We need fresh thinking.

    Here in Manitoba, one day after a large anti government protest at the Forks in Winnipeg, Pallister and his so-called medical experts have moved on from the science and have ratcheted up lockdown measures, fines, enforcement and harsher punishment based on what they refer to as “messaging”.
    Government retaliation against the pro Charter and Rights advocates is now their “new normal”.
