    1. I clicked, but it wanted freedom to eat my cookies with raw milk. I refused. It got pissy.

  1. Off topic I know but astronaut and American hero Michael Collins is dead at the age of 90.
If you want a good read…his book “Carrying the Fire” is great. These guys truly were the best of the best.

    1. He was a test pilot, an author, an astronaut, directed the National Air and Space Museum, a former aerospace executive, a consultant, and, in retirement, a painter.

Now only Buzz Aldrin is left of the Apollo 11 crew.

Farewell, and thank you, General Collins.

      1. He was interviewed many times during the 50th anniversary of the Apollo missions. He came across as very articulate, enthusiastic and likeable. He was the kind of person I would have liked to have met over a beer.

    1. Thank you Clipe, you put forward the supporting texts to my initial post to this story. ANother lefty lie to place us under government subjugation; a government, I hasten to add, that they will control.

  2. Let’s be fair here …

    Bakersfield
    Fresno
    Visalia

This “air pollution” is micro particulate matter suspended in the air. The TOP 3 polluters? All due to Agriculture. Tilling fields, agricultural burning, and pyromaniac Global Warmists starting forest fires. I took my State Champion girls soccer team to a tournament in Visalia one late winter weekend and the drive across the Central Valley, from i5 to Visalia was unbelievably thick with dust and Ag fires. It was so bad, that I was prepared to tell the tournament directors that I wouldn’t let the girls play in those conditions. Thankfully … the air was fine in Visalia and we went undefeated and took home top prize. At our hotel was a Trekkie convention … but that’s an entirely different story … yikes!

So this latest “particulate” matter pollution is just another in the ever-moving goalposts of some idealized air conditions where the wind doesn’t blow, Farmers don’t disc fields, and fireplaces are banned. Lots to HATE the Golden State about … but the singular world-class agriculture of the Central Valley isn’t one of em. But the eco-Marxists have been after (conservative) Central Valley Ag. for years now … cutting off their water … claiming they’ve drained the aquifers and the Valley is sinking … and now … “particulate matter” and underserved communities of children with an epidemic of asthma (Nevermind they’re all fatties sitting on their asses with video games).

And BTW … I’ve lived in the SF Bay Area for 60 years … and last years PG&E wildfires made the Bay Area Air the WORST I’ve ever experienced in that entire time. We had weeks on end of air so bad it HURT to be outside. Thanks for not maintaining your infrastructure PG&E!

  3. “It also found that the burden is not being shared equally with people of color 61 percent more likely to live in a county with polluted air than white people.”

They should focus on those countries first.

BTW, I wonder what the particulate air pollution level would be living in a mud hooch burning cow dung or dry brush for cooking and heating?

There will be government community custodians to enforce communal cooking to minimize the risk for the slaves.

  4. The old PM2.5 (2.5 micrometer) particle fraud. There is no evidence they cause ill-health, it is a lie put out by the EPA when it is controlled by the left. Of course, it is the evil diesel engine that is guilty, not natural dust and chemicals in the atmosphere from natural sources. Just another political scare tactic to justify more authoriarian government. It’s rther like saying CO2 is pollution.

    1. Another EPA fraud parroted by the Climate Barbies and Trustin Judeau is classifying CO2 as “carbon pollution”.

    1. Crap, now I’m gonna have to burn my “Air Jordan’s” and get some Nike’s, apparently they use environmentally friendly sweatshops!
