    1. The guests made a good case. If I look at my own behaviot, I am one of the original nerds, people are astonished at me not having twit or farmboy. But I do find web site and groups, such as SDA, on many issues that I find I can have discussions with people of similar interests,. I was going to say “like minded” but not all my interests are political. Mind you, the conversations about some arkane subject can also become vicious. Hence Godwin’s Law.

    1. Just subscribe, a small amount a month to keep independent journalism going/

  1. Stopped doing Franticbook a year ago when I realized it is medium for females, not males. Lots of females in my life and I have enough challenge dealing with them directly (I was going to say face-to-face but that happens rarely now, as we all know … mine are all in hiding from the bogeyman, scolding me for not caring about THE VACCINE) without the amplification and distortion of the online emotion generators like FB and Twidder, which fortunately I never signed up for.

    1. There is something generational that is happening too. When they were talking about drinking alcohol and eating sugar, it occurred to me that as a 40 year old man, I drink much much less and I have laid off the sugar. So what’s happening is that a large portion of these platforms’ network has “grown up.” And not only that, we now realize how damaging this so called “social media” can be and we’re raising our kids accordingly. My kids, for example, will not have an account on any of these platforms.
