    1. We need to put this spending where it belongs on our political parties for their horrendous mistakes and slapping the bill on the Canadian Citizens.

      1. Not disagreeing with you, but it could be well argued that those same “Canadian Citizens” are the ones responsible for these “horrendous” governments in the first place.

        Ha, if we made votes public and voters themselves were financially rewarded OR PUNISHED based on the fiscal responsibility of those they voted in, I bet you would see consistently responsible governments within 2 or 3 election cycles.

  3. Trudeau’s playbook is rather simple. He scatters money in whatever direction suits his childish ideas of what redirection Canada needs, and whatever political gain he can get from it. He then instructs his bureaucracy, including the finance dept and the bank of Canada, to fund it. He and his coherts are likely quite oblivious to the consequences, but there are always severe consequences when a nation’s finances are severly impaired.

    Poilievre is quite right when he implies that our dear leader, with his family wealth, is unlikely to bear much of these consequences. That burden will fall to us and our children.

    Good luck to all of us. We are going to need it.

      #1 consequence is that every Liberal in government now has a stuffed with cash (war chest) for the next election.
      #2 consequence is every Liberal politician now has a stuffed with cash offshore bank account.

    As a former Director of Payroll Systems for a large national company I saw when times were tough wages were cut, staff cut and all sorts of programs to keep our company solvent. In the public sector as this pandemic shows they put in less hours, stay home yet never suffer in their wages yet constantly moan how hard done by they are.

    Their increases carry on, their unions grow more powerful while the private sector restaurants and businesses finally die after doing all they can. 1.3 million Ontario public staff are being paid from tomorrow’s private sector tax revenue and borrowing far into the future.

    2. I’m not surprised at this.

      While I was teaching at Armpit College, the government cut back on the funding post-secondary institutions received. One result was that tuitions went up as the students were expected to pay more for the same services. Another was that the teaching staff were expected to do more but got paid less, even though we were at the low end of the scale compared with similar institutions.

      However, executive country at AC never seemed to suffer. It seemed that, each year, one senior administrator or another got new carpets in his or her office and there always seemed to be some new institutional frippery built and displayed, which we were expected to go “ooh” and “ah” at each time we passed by it.

      I heard O’Toole say on a TV ad, “nice to meet you”, and then, “OK, back to work”. Only, none of us have ever met him, and he hasn’t yet done any work yet, so I’m not sure it counts. On the last begging letter I got from them a few weeks back, was supposedly from Stephen Harper, I scrawled on it in block caps, “when you guys start behaving like conservatives, I’ll start donating again”. I then stuck that into the post paid envelope and mailed it back to them. Not sure if I’ll get another begging letter now. Hopefully not.

  15. Re the Barbie item regarding ‘climate crisis’

    Let’s be clear. They mean GLOBAL WARMING. That is what they were selling for about 20 years until they realized that it was NOT happening so they called something nebulous like ‘Climate Change’. However it has not gotten warmer in 30years but it has perhaps gotten a tad cooler, but hardly a crisis..

    What we actually have is ‘WEATHER’. It’s as it always has been … it varies from year to year and even decade to decade, but I simply have never seen anything that can be described as a Climate Crisis … what the hell does that even mean.

    What Canada does have, is a crisis of corruption in the Liberal party and the liberal administration. The cure, O’Toole seems to be quite ineffectual. So that is the crisis. The weather is just fine.

  16. There is no budget for public consumption because Chrystia does not consider it worth explaining to the tax-peons where all the money is going.

    Rest assured a detailed budget for Chinada Province has been delivered for the approval of Beijing to the CCP compound on St. Patrick St. in Ottawa. That budget is classified.

    Chinamen are notoriously tightfisted, and Beijing insists that every cent they give their Canadian vassals is spent on Beijing’s priorities. They don’t prop up western governments with cheap loans for their health.

    1. Judging from the last two picks, Conservatives are too dumb to choose Poilievre as leader.

    2. Ofool can’t have Poilevre in a position where that intelligence, sense, and articulation, might embarrass him, so he demoted him. Makes sense from an idiot politician’s point of view. He’s basically purging anyone that might be a threat or an embarrassment to him.
      He thinks nobody will notice.
      Well, nobody has noticed anything relevant or useful from him yet!

    He wants to open the economy, get us back to work but at what?? No manufacturing, no oil wells being drilled, unable to build pipelines, even Mom and Pop restaurants and stores shuttered never to open again,
    How do you kick start all of that!
    He needs to kick O’Toole OUT by whatever means and lead a REAL Conservative Party. I cannot hold my nose and vote for O’toole next election.

    The only reason Western Canada is even acknowledged is when the East needs money,as they always need more,so at least some of them know ,roughly, where Alberta and Saskatchewan are.
    Those trillions are to be paid by somebodies children..So who is having children?
    Prepare them to be Debt Slaves,if you condemn them to be citizens of Confederated Can Ahh Duh.
    Essentially the Ottawa Kleptocracy intends to charge us rent,on land they do not and never will own.
    While taxing the air we breathe..
    Our new country can start with a prohibition against Assault Style Politicians.
    A “shoot on sight” status for do-gooders and freeloaders.
    We could have a real fun country.
