  1. Ah … but isn’t THIS what “systemic” racism is all about? Some accidental slur was made by someone in your own family … “system” … years ago? So verily … “racism is in your DNA”.

THAT … is just how dangerous a term like “systemic” racism is. It makes everyone guilty, for all time. There can NEVER be healing or growth.

  2. Here’s the kicker; the man who reported on what Daly had said has been let go for it. The Kafka trap is complete.

    1. This is due to being Obama’s 3rd term in office using Biden and his squeeze Kamala.

      1. It’s his fourth term by my count. Who do you think was running the deep state and institutional left with all his activated agents while Trump and his electorate erroneously thought he was in charge. Fundamental transformation was complete before Trump took office.

        1. You could put it that way John, and in many ways you would be correct, but I don’t think Ohbummer was ever really in charge of anything. Someone, or more probably some group of someones, perhaps soreass and Co. in the beginning, we’re in charge… sort of, kind of like a bronk rider is in charge of his mount but I think that rider was thrown, and several competing organizations have been attempting to mount since or perhaps they are just killing it.
Trump’s great and lasting accomplishment was the irrevocable exposure of the abysmal depths of corruption to which politicians, judges and the security agencies have sunk.
          God save us.

      1. Many years ago, we were discussing the merits of various proposals to settle land claims when my friend Bruce McCloud exclaimed: “Well! If we are righting the wrongs of history, I want my castle back!”

    3. When he learned the meaning of the phrase, Derek Daly said ….

So what was the ‘phrase’ they mentioned? Please tell me so I don’t accidentally repeat it.

  3. I knew this story sounded familiar. His dad, Derek Daly, didn’t actually say anything. From wiki…
“In 2018, Daly was fired from a racing analyst position he had at WISH-TV when WISH-TV erroneously attributed a racial slur that was uttered by Indianapolis Colts announcer, Bob Lamey, to him. Daly filed a $25M law suit as a result. WISH TV offered to retract its story, but only if Daly would agree not to take any legal action against them.[8] In the aftermath, his son Conor had his sponsor, Lilly Diabetes, pull their support as he was set to make his NASCAR debut at Road America on August 25, 2018 due to the comments, even though Conor was not born for another 8 years after the fact.”

    1. “His dad, Derek Daly, didn’t actually say anything. ”

What Daly said was misquoted, but he did actually use “that word” in the accurate phrase and Lamy used it in reporting the incident.

I can’t tell you what the actual phrase was, because, you know, I can’t provide the evidence without becoming guilty. You’ll just have to trust me that accusation equals guilt, Brother.

    1. Yup, hasn’t actually been about actual racing for a while, as for a long time they have been trying to rig the finishes to be close by using the safety car, but lately the whole organization is so clueless about car stuff that they can’t even recognize the garage door pull.

      1. I ONLY watch F1. Why? Because F1 actually has a competitive BLACK Driver (Lewis Hamilton) … not a token black driver. Does that make me a racist? For not bowing before the NASCAR token?

        1. Not only a competitive black driver, Hamilton is certainly the best right now. Did you happen to see the last race this past season at Abu Dhabi? Fernando Alonso and Renault brought out their 2005 championship car for some demonstration laps. The noise – yikes. A 3 litre V-10 at 18,000 rpm. screaming around the track like a banshee on fire. The noise was deafening. Toto Wolf (head of Mercedes racing team) was giving an interview during the demo and had to stop as Alonso went by – Toto laughed and said “now that is an engine”. Video and specs below.
          https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a34944878/fernando-alonsos-v-10-f1-car-still-sounds-incredible/
          https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_R25#:~:text=The%20Renault%20R25%20was%20the%20Formula%20One%20car,Engineering%20and%20Bernard%20Dudot%20leading%20the%20engine%20design.

          1. Now THAT is how the top formula engine should sound! Long story … but I was lucky enough to have a pit-pass which included every inch of the track at the Long Beach Grand Prix … when F1 ran there. I was a “photographer’s assistant” *wink* *wink* and literally stood alongside the concrete barricades with the cars racing past so close, I could almost touch them. The smell and sound of the V-10’s was something to behold. We camped out at one tight chicane and photographed the exhausts belching fire as the drivers downshifted. What a sight!

  4. How many times have rappers used that word (along with various derogatory expressions and intentions towards women) and been cancelled or fired?
It’s not the word….it’s the person.

    1. “It’s not the word….it’s the person.” Or perhaps it’s the skin color of the person.
Black people use the same word every day without incident. But if a white people uses it (even 30+ years ago)…
CANCELLED! – simply because they aren’t black.

Isn’t that the very definition of racism?

  5. What is more racist?
This mans explanation of the slur he used 40 years ago or a whole party who tells me black people are too stupid to acquire an ID to vote?
White liberals are the most racist people on planet earth. While pheasant hunting in the middle of SD last Nov, I turned the radio to NPR to piss off my hunting buddy. There was a 30 minute segment where about 4 white people examined their own racism. Each explained their own feelings of how they may have been guilty of micro-aggressions, expected people of color to behave as they do- and so on, in their journey to understand how racist they were. ALL of this babble was to relive their own guilt and make THEM feel better. Never once did they offer any possible solutions to help fix the absolute destruction their liberal policies has wrought onto the black population in US over the past 50 years.
Nope. Like all wars we engage in, winning is the last thing on the cabals mind. It’s bad for business.

    1. Bad example. Gowron tried to make himself look good by screwing over Martok, tarnishing his image by constantly setting him up for failure. How honourable was THAT? Worf set him straight, though, didn’t he? 🙂 If ever there were an analogy here, its that.

  6. This article is two and a half years old. Things have not improved in the interim.

    Moving on:

I personally would love to live in a world where the grandchildren of our masters got to live under the #NewRules, permanently blackballed from higher education, government service, or any work that can be done indoors in the winter or allows them to live much more than hand-to-mouth. The thought of Sophie Trudeau’s brats having to shovel pig shit for a living makes me grin from ear to ear.

But such a system is not easy to enforce in a country where more than a tiny elite are allowed to own anything beyond a few petty personal belongings.

The songbun system, where your social credit score is crudely proxied by your family’s perceived loyalty to the House of Kim, has actually been slightly weakened in north Korea over time, as getting kicked off the Soviet dole made concessions to free enterprise necessary. Turns out having your own money opens some doors even there, even if your great-uncle did flee to South Korea.

A system like this is getting easier to enforce in the West, because it’s getting harder for people in the west to make a living outside the framework of corporate capitalism, the difference being that corporate capitalism no longer pretends to care about the aspirations of the proletariat—not the white proletariat anyway.

And we don’t have a “South Korea” to escape to.

(Donald Trump led the first genuine workers’ and peasants’ political movement in the living memory of most Americans, if not in American history. That’s why the elites hated and feared him so much.)

    1. Thanks for catching that date, I had missed it. A sad reminder that we have already been letting the woke crazies kick our asses for years.

Reading the many comments here, I could not help but consider how some of us are unwittingly playing the crazy left’s ‘woke game’. It doesn’t matter in the least what his dad has ever said or in what context it was ever said. It should be our duty as conservatives to AUTOMATICALLY dismiss the entire concept of “guilt” or “innocence” in dealing with these cancel-culture attacks, because there is NOTHING to ever be guilty about. Taking ANY time to debate the merits of the crazed wokerotti’s accusations seems absolutely pointless to me and even gives up some affirmation where NONE is due.

To me, this story is all about the level of craziness the woke crowd have reached and how deeply their ideologies have infected big business. The substance of the accusations themselves is absolutely irrelevant and we would be damn wise to always remember that when dealing with these dangerous, racist activists.

      1. That’s because the same crazies control the money…you know…follow the money…
That’s why they are always funded.

  7. Yeah, different racial slurs are part of the zeitgeist of every era. Everyone is a product, of the spirit of the times they grew up in. I remember Polish jokes were popular when I was in grade school. We also used to use the N word when saying “eany meany miney moe, catch a …” early on, that was still in fairly common usage into the 70s and early 80s.

Then it was blonde jokes for a time.

    1. I remember the “Arrow Books” and “Tab Books” we used to be able to order through the schools to encourage reading.
Was just discussing the other day how among the titles were a whole series of ethnic (Polish, Italian, etc.) joke books, and the Dead Baby Joke Book. Educators nowadays would have a shit hemorrhage over those titles.

As for the old version of Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, just imagine the world if everybody lived by those words. There would have been no history of slavery, except perhaps the mute, as I can not imagine anyone not hollering.

    2. There used to be “The N-word John 4H Club” and “N-word John Ridge” in Southern Alberta, both named after John Ware, a cowboy who broke horses and was reputedly never bucked off. Ironically, he died from being thrown from a horse.

Then there was my youth, eating N-word babies and N-word toes. Imagine going into a store asking for 10 N-word babies – that was me. My father who grew up with many black friends would not allow his kids to ever use the N-word but he still ate N-word toes. It was more of an age on innocence.

      1. N-word toes. I did not know they were also called Brazil nuts for decades.

        1. My grandmother introduced me to the term N-toes when she bought mixed nuts for me to shell. The N-toes were particularly tough nuts to crack … and still are 🙂

BTW I invited my Grandmothers longterm (like 20 years) Maid, ‘Bea’ to my wedding … because she was so nice to me when growing up … I considered her ‘family’. My grandmother (born in 1901) insisted that Bea would “want” to serve guests at my wedding … that was ‘her place’. I was aghast at her racist and classist attitude. ‘Bea’ attended as a guest … dressed beautifully … and clearly thrilled to have been included as a treasured Guest.

Note to race baiters: “systemic racism” died out at least two generations ago. Oh sure there are pockets of racist attitudes … but those are so few and far between as to be effectively meaningless. The current black victimology is FAR MORE racist than the smattering of true racists in this nation

  8. Hmmmm…I best get busy culling photos of my dog from the family album that was tagged with an unfortunate name while in my yoot.
I doubt claiming my parents were immigrants from old Europe will be enough to keep me out of the gulag.

    Inquisitor: “Your dog’s name, sir?”

    Burton: “Spot”

    1. You could claim that it’s a Shakespearean name. After all, didn’t Lady Macbeth in one of her tormented sleep scenes say, “Out, damned Spot?”

      1. I believe their is a place in your mind where you can control your physical pain and literally shut that off. If your extremely clumsy or klutzy, it clicks on after awhile almost automatically. This can also have you understand how people being under extreme physical distress survive that. Even people years in terrible places surviving by your mind is not really there.
And some people never snap out of that place.

I’ve also experienced once a rage so extreme anybody in my way, I would have been ripped apart…
Not a nice rage that you know is inside you.

  9. So when someone looks into the families of the directors and shareholders of Lilly Diabetes (his former sponsor) where they will certainly find some or many that used “nigger” in some context or other, will the company shut down, dissolve the corporation and fire all employees.

  10. True story. Late 70s. Me and a bunch of junior soldiers are sitting around the regiment lounge playing Pepper. One of the four is OJ. You can do the racial math from there. OJ got his good buddy Jimmy down to two aces so he had to throw one away. With no idea which was good, he obliviously pointed to the aces and uttered “eenei, meenie, minie, mo, catch a ……. You can imagine our reactions, besides shock, wave offs, time out signals, attempts to leave, and such. Then he completed the sentence – (oh shit he said it) “by the toe.” OJ looked a Jimmy, then us, now flabbergasted beyond recognition – and burst out laughing, reassuring us yes indeed the phrase was used in his community for extra special assholes. Nowadays, the regiment would be subjected to a Board of Inquiry investigating our hate camp racial slurs (Pepper eh?), and courts martial below the rank of Sergeant.

    1. If Prinz Dummkopf was there, would he be eligible to attend 2 ceremonies?

But graduations based solely on race? Oh, how quaint. A truly progressive institution would hold ceremonies based on gender. Imagine one for males, one for females, one for a certain nuisance here on SDA, one for Prinz Dummkopf…..

  11. Some black woman was testifying in a senate committee where she said systemic racism is a problem and that EVERYONE held some racial biases.
His question to her was”so who are you racially biased against?

  12. “Columbia University is planning to hold six additional graduation ceremonies
for students according to their race and other aspects of how they identify.”
Now if they could just get them into their own dorms and sit at the back of the class-and bus- everything would be perfect.
