Canada can’t wait to kill its elderly.
The Canadian government may want to go that way, but a lot of Canadians are very protective of their elderly. I’m not alone in having spent many years as “offspring on call” to the detriment of my own health but feeling the sacrifice was worthwhile. Ask our offsprings; they would be united in saying what a blessing it was to have their Granny with them for those years (sadly, Grandad died relatively young), and how they are better for having walked with their Granny to the end.
The government and – sadly – the medical profession are becoming very mechanical in their response to the needs of the elderly. They focus on the financial cost, both in direct costs (health care) and lost taxes (“children” leaving the work force to care for elderly parents). But they ignore the benefits that accrue when younger family members are exposed to the wisdom of their elders and learn the empathy needed to help said elders in their journey.
How DARE a Republican Governor competently prepare-for, and execute vaccinations. He is embarrassing Gavin Newsom, who just keeps repeating over and over and over that there’s a “vaccine shortage”. Nevermind he has STILL NOT used the State’s initial vaccine supply … there’s a “shortage”.
If it wasn’t for the help of private HMO’s and Corporations such CVS Pharmacy … Gavin wouldn’t be inoculating anybody.
