If Trudeau wanted to curb the spread of Covid, we’d be manufacturing saliva based rapid tests by the millions; they’d be available by mail order, in every pharmacy, in vending machines, at restaurants, at hospitals and LTC where every employee and visitor would be tested before entry.

They can be manufactured for a few dollars, they take 15 minutes for results. But no, we must submit to the same unimpeachable government doctors who have been utterly, confidently and authoritatively wrong on nearly every emerging question since this pandemic began.

  1. My son spent 4 years and over $100k to become an Airline Pilot. He had nearly 18 months in his dream career and was loving every minute of it.

  8. At the end of August 2021 I have a cruise to Japan booked through Viking Ocean Cruises – they have installed labs on all their ships and will be requiring all passengers to submit a salvia spit every morning for analysis. If positive they will ask you to isolate.

    Why can private sector do it, but government can’t? I know the answer, but it is a good question

  10. Who are they going to blame once cases continue to increase once all travel is effectively banned? It is unfathomably criminal that they don’t have rapid tests after nearly a year of declaring a crisis. I guess that is what happens when the CCP runs off with the intellectual property you stupidly gave them and then lock you out.
    Our country is being run by people who are insane.

      1. At the outset of this I didn’t believe that they would do a whole bunch of things they have done so…absolutely willing to believe you.

        I guess I find it hard to think as irrationally as our governing betters appear to. If their goal was to bring down cases, then they would actually test. It is really easy to do – even PCR testing is easy to do. But since they aren’t testing I guess their goal must be other.
        The other option is that we are dealing with really, really stupid people running the executive branches of federal and provincial governments, which could lead to the same results (autocracy).

    What are the chances they could be wrong every time? Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I offer the hypothesis that they’re stealing the money. We’re all being fleeced and set up for a totalitarian regime “for our own good.” I wonder how far they’ll go?

My wife and I fly for a living and were getting set to retire after over 30 years but now we’re crossing our fingers in hopes that we’ll even get to see our pensions, and yet we still have colleagues who say they will wait for the bigger picture as our industry is being destroyed before their very own eyes. I’m so grateful that after a few flying lessons our son decided that it wasn’t for him. He’s now on the verge of getting his plumbing ticket and has trouble keeping up with the demand for his services.

    1. You are getting out at the right time, but I understand your pension concern.

      As noted above, my son is a junior FO on the Q400 with Jazz. Last flew in April. My daughter got her CPL/Multi/IFR just after 9/11 and changed career to be an electrician, she’s working full time and making good money. My son’s prospects were excellent a year ago, no prospects at all now.

      I’ve trained many a youngster ab initio and they graduated to heavy metal. They are also out of work.

      Really depressing.

      I am now fearful they will try and take away my airplane, or at least make it utterly unaffordable.

  16. My intention has been not to vote in the next Federal election — whenever that happens. I have not been imporessed with what O’Toole and Conservatives have to offer that is different from the status quo. I would reconsider if the Conservatives started going after the government for their pathetic handling of Covid. The excessive lockdowns and travel bans are not really preventing transmission of the virus which is not that deadly for most people anyway. But Conservatives are like a bunch of ineffectual dupes. No one is challenging the government, and the Liberal government is destroying the country. Can we have some push back, please? Even some effort to put the virus in perspective would help. There is lots of factual evidence that the response to the virus has been way overblown. The MPP Roman (???) had it right. Conservatives dumped on him. Why?? But the Conservatives act like a bunch of bewildered dupes.

    Canadian government employees have spent the last ten months working hard—on drinking themselves into an early grave, being relieved of the responsibility of showing up for work on time and sober and pretending to do anything constructive.

    It’s much easier to start drinking at breakfast if you only have a couple of hours of work to do on a given day, if that, and you only need leave the house to join a leftist riot on government time.

    They quite like their new lifestyle, and won’t go back to the old one given any choice.

  21. I wonder, what is the plan for a Trudeau hotel guest that tests positive for the CCP virus during the 3 day stay? An extended 14 day no-expense paid quarantine, then another test, with the results based upon whether or not you are a Trudeau supporter? After all, it is well know the PCR tests are upwards of 90% false-positive depending on the cycling threshold used. Once inside you could be labeled a serious public health risk and be eligible for an indefinite stay at the interment camp. You know, the internment camps that Trudeau recently wrote off as “misinformation”. Perhaps Trudeau’s crazy covid plan leaked in October 2020 is not all that crazy?

  22. I wish someone could interview the talking heads who told us that travel restrictions don’t work and they’re racist and ask them if and/or why they’ve changed their minds. Or did they even know what the h@!! they were talking about in the first place?

    1. It always was about conquest, subjugation, and control. The virus, such as it was, was only a convenient (on purpose) excuse.

      The only two immediate relatives I have left in the country blather on about it being a plague. It didn’t help that my cousin actually caught, so my elderly aunt now believes that there are dead bodies in the streets everywhere. Neither of them want to see the overall picture and none of them believed me when I told them what this was all about.

      I haven’t been in contact with them in over a month. Why should I waste my time and effort trying to convince those who know it all better anyway?
