But Pelosi has also indicated that this upcoming term could be her last, “and the left isn’t really making a plan for that either,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “So I do think that it’s something that we really need to think about.”
It would be interesting if the Republicans helped some Democrats vote for AOC to be the Speaker, thus replacing Pelosi.
It reminds me of what Samuel Johnson once said about a quarrelsome couple. His comment was that it was a good thing they were married to each other, otherwise there would be four people unhappy.
Pelosi and Schumer are still in place because the Democrats know they need their leaders to be white, heterosexual, and not Muslims or self-hating anti-Zionist Jews to be electable at all at the federal level.
The number of prominent Democrats who fit that description in 2020 is shrinking with every funeral.
