Margin Of Fraud

CBC;

Elections Canada says it has identified roughly 3,500 cases of people who voted in 2019’s federal election where there was conflicting evidence about their citizenship, CBC News has learned.

But almost a year after Canadians headed to the polls, the agency says it’s still trying to determine how many of those cases — if any — involved non-Canadian citizens casting ballots.

A fear of foreign nationals or permanent residents taking advantage of Canada’s honour system and voting illegally was one of the most common themes Elections Canada documented while monitoring social media in the lead-up to the Oct. 21 election, according to CBC’s analysis of the agency’s internal documents. Some people called on the agency to require voters to show proof of citizenship at the polls, such as a passport.

CBC writes several more paragraphs assuring us that those fears are unfounded and Liberalsplaining how voter ID is bad.

66 Replies to “Margin Of Fraud”

  1. Voter ID is bad? Just what do they call registration with your income tax return? Why the hell waste time allowing this if anyone from anywhere can vote. Sanctimonious Canadians criticizing Americans when we are even worse than them.

    1. As Conrad Black wrote some time ago (and I paraphrase), pompous Canadians believe we have a national vocation to scold Americans on their moral infirmities.

    2. Agreed. Any non-citizen who wants to vote can register via his/her tax return. However, many non-citizens could have ended up on the voters’ list inadvertently. When I worked for a major tax preparation firm, the default to the citizenship question was “yes” and – in the later years with a change in software – no prompt to ask the client. Fortunately, I was experienced enough to check that question, but – for many junior preparers – that was the last question on their minds when trying to finish a tax return.

  2. I read the article earlier this morning on my MSN feed and its certainly pure shyte.
If you don’t have proper ID you’ve failed a pretty basic citizen competency test.

  3. The only way someone should be allowed to vote is by providing a Driver’s license, a tax return, a gun license and a proof of penis all at the same time.

    1. Jeff, Um, won’t that last item be difficult for genuine females to prove, unless in a relationship with a genuine male. Unless of course you don’t think females should be allowed to vote? A DL is also not obligatory, I would agree with the gun license, because that would verify you are a citizen of good standing and vetted on a daily basis, and supposedly checked thoroughly prior to issuance of said license.

  4. 3,500 votes out of 17,980,264 equals 0.019% or about one in 5,000.

Does this pass or fail the materiality test?

(Oh by the way, assuming what has not been said is a logical fallacy.)

    1. “materiality test?”
I think we should deny the vote to any person who abuses the English language with crude grammatical errors.

    2. Here’s another measure to determine if that number has any bearing.
If those 3500 where from ridings where the winner won by a small number of votes.
How many close races where there last election?
This is not meant to discredit your claim as much as consider all outcomes and possibilities.

    3. 3,500 votes out of 17,980,264

We don’t elect governments by popular vote, we elect them riding by riding.

Does this pass or fail the basic civics test?

  5. The article references a Wisconsin study done after 2016 presidential election.

reading through the study, they sent out 2400 surveys, and got 293 responses, then discarded 5 because they weren’t able to identify the home counties out of the 2 counties they sent them 2. And out of the 12.2% response rate, they estimated with a 95% confidence rate, that ~6% of all voters weren’t prevented because either they lacked ID, or cited ID as the main reason they didn’t vote.

but if you go down to page 13, and look at the main reason for not voting, using the weighted responses, only 1.7% reported they did not have adequate photo ID, and another 1.4% were told at polling place that ID was inadequate… which adds up to 3.1%

and of course, almost anyone reading the article will accept the conclusions asserted without actually looking at the study to see how terrible it is.

    1. There was a survey done in Wisconsin of university students after 2000 and the number of respondents who admitted to voting at least twice was enough to turn the state for Bush, never mind extrapolating the number over the entire population.

  6. Worked on many elections checking out the names, issuing ballots, putting them in the box, counting them.
Last time it was few years ago municipal outside of Calgary.
The guy in charge was an Indo as were most of those around him.
It was the loosest election ever seen. No need to prove anything. Just let them vote. Some old, I mean very old from Asia, did not know what they were doing, could hardly walk, could not speak one word of English, voted. Of course they had handlers to make sure that they vote for the proper candidate.
If there was case of questioning eligibility, hey no problem, just let it pass.
All of that was ok with the guy in charge.
One supposes that’s how it’s done in India.
There is nothing that one can do lest you are a racist.
And this is interesting, while residing in the deep south of the Okanagan, working on the elections, those from the rather well off area voted socialists.
It must have been the old suckers that wanted to keep their privileges.
I’m old, I can say that.

    1. Yes Lev, voter fraud is rampant. I’ve worked many elections at all levels and found fraud to be evident, especially when a left-leaning government is in office. In my experience, Liberals and NDP especially are more interested in winning than honouring the process. As a roving scrutineer, I actually found an individual trying to vote in two different ridings. I see absolutely no reason why proper ID should not be a requirement for voting.

      1. Back in the day, was used to take Aged P out to the polls. Aged P was legally blind, so had to insist that I was needed alongside in the polling booth and that was not always easy with a lot of hoops to jump through. Aged P was still listening to the news, though I would often have to find other sources to get information about the candidates. On one aspect I was adamant: Aged P got to decide who to vote for, not moi. As I recall, we were never in serious agreement about where the vote would be cast but – had we been – I would have marked Aged P’s choice rather than mine.

  7. All the updates that have been made under the Liberals have been for one reason only – to increase the ability to manipulate the results with voter fraud.

The CBC is again showing it’s true colours, take all that taxpayer money and twist the truth to fulfil their UN, Globalist and open borders corporate masters.

  8. John…oh so true and following in very familiar Footsteps too it seems…

1933: NSDAP (NAZI party), gain control of Reichstag with less than a Majority via sleazy means
2020: Liberals gain Total Control also with less than a Majority and use Covid to Empty Parliament.

    1933: Jews: “unclean sub humans”
2020: Euro Centrics: White Supremist Racists en masse

1933: Reich Ministry of Propaganda – Govt Owned
2020: All MSM Propaganda Ministry – Govt Owned

1935: Krystal Nacht – Book burning etc
2020: AntiFa-BLM Rioting/looting – All Classic Books Banned in Schools – Mass Internet Censorship

1935: Private ownership of weapons prohibited
    2020″ Ditto

1936: First internment Kampfs for the Mentally ill, Jews, Gypsies and Gays.
2020: Liberal Dictatorship in Canada issues RFQ for SAME to all 10 provinces

Yea….I’d say we are headed down the EXACT SAME ROAD

    1. And you forgot the anti-capitalist bent of the Liberals.

Hitler was named “Man of the Year” in 1938 by Time Magazine. They noted Hitler’s anti-capitalistic economic policies:

“Most cruel joke of all, however, has been played by Hitler & Co. on those German capitalists and small businessmen who once backed National Socialism as a means of saving Germany’s bourgeois economic structure from radicalism. The Nazi credo that the individual belongs to the state also applies to business. Some businesses have been confiscated outright, on other what amounts to a capital tax has been levied. Profits have been strictly controlled. Some idea of the increasing Governmental control and interference in business could be deduced from the fact that 80% of all building and 50% of all industrial orders in Germany originated last year with the Government. Hard-pressed for food- stuffs as well as funds, the Nazi regime has taken over large estates and in many instances collectivized agriculture, a procedure fundamentally similar to Russian Communism.”

(Source: Time Magazine; January 2, 1939.)

      1. 100% Correct Art.

Things like continually “Buying Bombardier”, TMX, total Support for SNC Lavalin etc etc.. The Quebecois are Genetically identical to past NSDAP Members in that, as well as being at the same or greater level of corruptness.

I truly fear for this country and in particular, the future of my children.

    2. Let the record show that the Nazis did all this to the applause of the world’s elites, and that the Jews had to get an atomic bomb and credibly threaten to fire it at Moscow before anybody would recognize their right to exist at all. Our masters’ only problem with the Holocaust is that they hadn’t thought to do it long before Hitler did.

They now use working class white men as a punching bag because they know we won’t nuke their palaces

Vote? The elites only do the decent thing with a knife at their throats, a pistol at their temples and a hydrogen bomb pointed at their capitals.

Alberta will get her freedom when there are radioactive craters where Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal used to be. The survivors, if any, will think twice before telling Alberta what to do with her oil ever again.

        1. The oil that keeps Central Canada from freezing in the dark comes from Arab petrotyrannies, not Alberta.

There will always be a market for Alberta’s oil somewhere. Toronto globalism, Ottawa parasitism and Montreal Judenhass? Not so much.

(For what it’s worth, the most likely scenario is this:

President Trump decides he’s had enough of the Chinese satellite next door.

Justin surrenders as soon as he learns that the Canadian armed forces are deserting en masse at the sight of a real army.

President Trump arrives in Calgary to a hero’s welcome, without a shot fired in anger.)

          1. What a batch of demented nonsense. Kate, it’s about time to drag this one out the back and ban his IP address. He’s spilled more insane nonsense and sheer racist bile to make any commenter here gag.

          2. I’m with ya Santa…LOL

Would DJT roll up Hwy 2, I’d be there with as big a stars n stripes I could find.
            Semper Fi.

CGH.. The East feasts on Saudi/Nigerian/Eritrean and Venzuelan oil….and a shit ton of Backsheesh. Very little of what Suncors’ Eastern Production Refinery in Sarnia produces makes it even close to the Quebec border.

        2. Not much of a market anyhow, this day, ‘Adam Henry’!
And when our masters can dictate that our markets will never improve, well hey, as someone once said, “Hey, what have we got to loose?”

        3. Santa is not wrong in what he said above….it’s all there in Black n White. That thing called history books. Until he invaded Poland, Hitler was the PLanetary Industrialists hero.

As for the Eastern ELITES..?? They could give a shit about Alberta Alienation…they set up Confederation, Trudeau 1 enhanced it for the East and to date they have Absolutely ZERO Reason to change their initial 1867 invention. Cash/resources for the benefit of East. PERIOD.

          we need out…stat.

  9. During the last federal election I offered my Canadian pilot licence as Identification and it was rejected, but my provincial driver’s licence was okay. We do have some weird standards.

    1. I’ve received strange looks when I present my citizenship card at polling stations. Gee, imagine that: a Canadian voter actually providing proof that he’s a citizen and, thereby, eligible to cast a ballot.

      1. BA..I’ve never thought about doing that….
        I VILL now..!!

My Canadian Ausweis, until even that’s taken away.

        1. I started doing that a few years ago when reports that illegal immigrants were possibly voting began circulating. The odd thing was, when Prinz Dummkopf won the first time, the Elections Canada volunteer responded with something like: “Why are you showing us that?”

I did the same thing for the last provincial election, and one poll station worker was actually pleased by that.

That’s one advantage of being a naturalized citizen. One can actually prove one belongs here as everyone gets a certificate, at least that’s how it was in the mid-1960s. The wallet-sized edition is optional.

  10. I suppose your pilot license card includes your photograph, does it also show your residential address? I think accepted ID is supposed to include something to show you reside in the constituency for the polling station. And if the pilot license fulfilled the criteria, it might still fail if the staff verifying believed it didn’t because they interpreted the rules to allow only types of ID on a list given to them, even it that list was just to give examples of what could be valid.

  11. Ironic, since the editorial in the Globe and Mail today is about how much better the Cdn system of voting is over the US.

  12. But now they are not even “illegals”,for Justine’s people can vote after 3 years of feasting on our welfare rolls..
Whether they qualify as immigrants, refugees or any other legitimate category.

And don’t forget all our citizens of convenience, safe in their native abodes, can vote on the direction Canada shall go in..
Elections Canada,a fully funded affiliate of the Liberal/NDP party, only find “Fraud” if it disqualifies a conservative or they cannot safely ignore it.

But they are pretty generous in what they do not see.
Winning a bigscreen TV,for voting on the Res,with the result carrying a Liberal to victory..Elections Canada ,did the Shultz.
    And our media puppets applaud.

  13. Only 3500…which riding did Elections Canada choose to verify this in specifically? Just one riding?

Those government employees must have put in for some very serious overtime to tabulate these findings. How much money did it cost the taxpayers to confirm this. What would the dollar/fraudster be calculated at?

  14. The corruption and longing for government babysitting in this country under JT is starting to make me long for the days when PET ran this place; into the ground.

Very sad to see what voters are doing to this country, but at the same time it is fascinating to be witnessing it. It’s like watching the start of a train wreck in slow motion. It is clearly not registering with a lot of people what is happening yet. When/if they do start catching on to what is happening, it will be too late. (and maybe it already is)

When you’re 8 beers and 4 scotches into the night with a hot blonde sitting in your lap, you’re not thinking about the hangover.

God Bless Trump and the USA. The last hope.

    1. “..It is clearly not registering with a lot of people what is happening yet. When/if they do start catching on to what is happening, it will be too late…and maybe it already is…”

Absolutely correct Johnboy…I Fear it already is….the Majority browbeaten to the point they wear their masks to bed and practise Solitary Sex. Married cpls separated by a screen of Saran Wrap.

And that is the point of constant 24/7 fear mongering for 7 months now isn’t it.?? Turn it into the NEW NORMAL as they call it with the expectation that Not one person will object to being sent to an Isolation KAMPF….and that assumption my friends, IMO, holds Trillions of gallons of water from what I can see.

Its taken only 80+ yrs to completely wipe the Horrors of the Holocaust out of the contemporary mindset. Fcuking unbelievable and this time it’s not Jews who are the scapegoat – Its White Euro Centric folks – you RACIST BASTARDS..!!!

    2. I doubt people are being taught the value of citizenship in schools. At least those of my generation who are naturalized tend to hold it higher regard as becoming a citizen was a privilege back then, not a right, and the standards for citizenship were considerably higher.

  15. If you don’t look for Fraud.. You won’t find IT… An Illegal Alien is someone without documentation, and no voting record will be found, actually they don’t exist… The Democrat Judges have been selling fraudulent Voting & calling Identification an suppression of Voting… Suppression of FRAUD…Awareness must be employed by every American….Bounty Hunters & rewards work best…..A sweep of Crack Houses, old folks homes, by Law Enforcement looking for Voter fraud would help….The Role is to prevent unlawful voting & catch the corrupt agencies…..

The Congress MUST pass a Law that punishes those groups engaged in Voter fraud (including corrupt Judges) 10 years in Prison should Work

  16. The winner is responsible for ferreting out the fraud. That’s rule number one through rule number one million and one. Odd that the winners never care that much about it.

  17. SDA readers must account for half of the 0.8% of Canadians that pay attention to the CBC.

    Stop linking to the CBC.

Link to independent and non subsidized media.

  18. Put the CD citizenship on the DL or ID. Problem solved. A wee maple leaf in 1 corner.
That way it’s either a passport or a birth certificate that would need to be presented at your local Registries office to get (a future) CD designation.
The AB govt already pays for birth certs for low income people who apply and qualify. If you want to vote find the $75 for your birth certificate. (Save $6/month for 12.5 months)
Liberals spend way more time finding studies and statistics in trying not to solve a problem.

  19. And uh, what of the ~4 million sub saharan – middle eastern low life that came up through Roxham Rd the past 4-5 years..?? I must assume they ALL HAVE Proper ID…of course no.??

The Canuckistan Bullshit Corporation continues to show why they only have 0.8% viewership.

(FYI): I for one do not have link to the CBC. They foolishly decided my commentary was not up to their Lofty Woke “Community Standards” and have excommunicated me from their comment boards. I fear the same lame cuck moderators work at the Nat Post as well – graduates from the Gerry butts Reich Ministry of Propaganda.

  20. I just about pissed my pants when I read the line about “The Canadian Honour System”.
Was this garbage written by theGirl Guides?

    1. “Was this garbage written by theGirl Guides?”

Nope. It’s an integral component of The Great Canadian Conceit – which is really just the inferiority complex of the majority that manifests as anti-Americanism.

It goes hand in hand with several other embarrassingly self-serving platitudes, such as “it’s not the Canadian Way”; “we are known for our politeness”; and pukingly best of all, “renowned for our modesty”.

Hospital admissions in Canada for dislocated shoulders are twice as high as rates in the U.S., Australia, or Europe. That’s what happens when too many people try to pat their own shoulders.

  21. Rizwan – the answer to your question – as in all accounting-type questions – is “it depends”. If these are all from one riding, and the margin of victory is fewer than 3,500 votes, then it’s extremely material. If, on the other hand, it’s from across the country, then there would most probably not be sufficient fraudulent votes in any one riding to make a difference.

It should also be noted – and I’m certain others already have commented on this point – that there is no indication as to how wide the net was cast to find these 3,500 seriously problematic voters. Without that knowledge, we have no way of discerning if non-citizen votes have unduly influenced our election.

    1. ” … there is no indication as to how wide the net was cast to find these 3,500 seriously problematic voters.”

True. Nor do we even know the fineness of the mesh. Perhaps there was no net at all … maybe just some halfhearted jigging.

  22. In terms of voter ID, it should be any federal picture ID for Fed voting, and at least any Provincial ID for a Provincial election with proof of residency in a particular riding. I have been told on a number of occasions that my Provincial drivers license is valid for Fed and Prov ID, but not my Fed firearms license! kind of inverted requirements in my opinion. The idea that there should not be valid proof of citizenship to vote is patently stupid, and the Liberal/Democrat way, because it gives them MORE votes, not less.

As for links to the CBC, I’m old and don’t even know how to link to anything except arms in celebration, and conspiracy theories. Plus I haven’t watched the CBC in at least thirty years. My buddy, DLM, says he listens to CBC to learn what his enemies are thinking, but I refuse to subject myself to their lies, and pompous admonitions of anything anti liberal, because they are the enemy. IDNF is correct though, once enough people ignore them, they will eventually die of malnutrition. However, at 0.8 percent, they should already be dead, and are only kept alive by the Liberal government’s constant financial infusions of taxpayer monies. long past time to post, “do not revive”.
