Paul Krugman Has A Nobel Prize In Economics And Your Walmart Greeter Doesn’t

In a series of books and articles beginning in the 1990s, Krugman branded just about everybody who questioned the rapid pace of globalization a fool who didn’t understand economics very well. “Silly” was a word Krugman used a lot to describe pundits who raised fears of economic competition from other nations, especially China. Don’t worry about it, he said: Free trade will have only minor impact on your prosperity.

Wait, nevermind.

  1. Krugman is a lying Communist who wrote (NYT) how wonderful China was going to embrace AGW… When Gore & Obama failed to convince China to join the EU/UN CLIMATE FRAUD he was outraged… A one trick Pony past his due date……Krugman has the IQ of a Fence post… It’s a good thing that an Economist is not a Scientific endeavor that requires intelligence…

    1. Some do confuse “economist” with “communist”. Too many communists claim to be economists these days.
A real economist is supposed to look at the pros and cons of different courses of action. A communist, like the “economist” that works for UNIFOR (formerly CAW), simply says socialism is the way to go.
Krugman is simply the latter who also gets rich off of media suckers.

    2. Krugman is just one of thousands of experts in everything from finance, to climate, to medicine, that should be ignored. All politicians should be ignored.

  2. Paul Krugman also said the internet’s impact on the economy would be no greater than the fax machine. It is best to ignore everything he says.

    1. Never listen to a man who acts and talks like he has no balls or a penis. He’s not effeminate – he’s a sexless, childless nothing.

  3. The article suggest he admits he was wrong, but he does no such thing. Instead he invents a whole new word to absolve him from his own idiocy. He says he failed to realize globalization would lead to “hyperglobalization.” Hyperglobalization is globalization, there’s no difference other than what he predicted was WRONG times billions. Not sure why the author of the article lets him play that game.

    1. Rather “silly” of the article isn’t it? Yep … Krugman MEANT to say “globalization-lite” … just enough for his Wall Street buddies to turn over a another $B in their net worth.

The REAL shocking admission in this article is that Krugman and his pals are shocked that all those good little slack-jawed Democrat voters in the Blue collar States “noticed” that their jobs HAD been exported … and voted for Trump. They’ve finally admitted their voting base has turned on them. Just wait till they see how the voters have turned since unleashing BLM and ANTIFA of their cities …

  4. “Hence, economists themselves are surprised at how quickly the mainstream of their profession has moved leftward—as many of them found at 2019’s conference on inequality. ”

Not one Austrian or Chicago school economist to be found in the article…

largely because they have been silenced by the mobs…

  5. Seems to me I saw a president get a Nobel Peace prize before he actually accomplished a damned thing.. Kinda makes me question whether there are any Nobel prizes not tainted by a politicized agenda.. Kinda, almost,, nearly,,
Aww, screw the whole game,, we all know whats goin on,, they tell us lies and strap a gold star on the biggest liar,,

      1. Fires have been a feature, not a bug in Australia, ever since the land bridge to Asia got flooded out. Ask an Abo.

  6. Paul Krugman is now in second place after Paul Ehrlich and leading before Anthony Fauci as academics who’s prediction of future events turned out to be completely wrong.

    1. Followed closely by that twit in London who predicted 2,000,000 deaths in the US from Wuhoo Flu. Actually I think he should get the this year’s Tar and Feather prize

  7. Trump’s legacy will be the whistle blowing on China. Elitist Americans willingly sold the USA out so they could fill their pockets.

  8. One of the accepted facts that we are never allowed to talk about is that economics is a pseudo-science. They use a great deal of math / statistics to model the future and we are required to accept their predictions as fact.

That they that they have chosen a zillion year old crumudgeon as their poster-Greta makes me laugh.

Hey! whatever happened to that time six months ago that his computer got hacked and someone downloaded pedo-porn onto it.

    I’m not a Q fan but…

    1. When guessing under the guise of economics failed to impress us they shitfted™ to claiming econometrics was the answer. Now that ‘real math’ was used to explain guessing we were to call it a science. You know, just like ‘political science’.

      1. They should label them as economic studies, political studies, climate studies and then defund them.

        1. Living at the interasection of economic studies, political studies and climate studies; Krugman got run over by reailty 🙂

  9. There is no such thing as a Nobel Prize in Economics. Physics, Chemistry, Peace, Literature and Physiology/Medicine, yes, but not Economics

The “Economics” prize is something that economists awarded themselves and tried to give themselves the same kind of status and recognition for achievement. It is perhaps fitting that Krugman got a phony Nobel prize as it is as phony as he is.

    1. It is worth note that all Economists who obtain an Nobel Prize are assigned the Role of Managing the Nobel Trust fund, they FAIL & the fund always requires MORE money….Why pretend?

  10. According to Google Translate “krug” means ‘circle’ or ‘ring’ in Bulgarian. Perhaps we should understand the rewarding of prizes by one peers as, in English usage, log rolling.

    1. In Yiddish “Krug” means pitcher (as in jug). Krugman’s people were White Russians (Belarusians) who claimed to be Jews.

  11. Free Trade is a lie, only Monty Python could do it justice.
Free Trade means silly Western economies gift their domestic retail market to low wage Asian countries while those Asian countries laugh and impose hidden tariffs and non tariff regulatory barriers to the West.
The Western left love it, it reduces their white boy guilt.
The US working class in particular has been destroyed by exporting their skilled jobs to Asia while they become part time on call service industry employees who have no stability in their financial or family lives. You think the opioid epidemic (a real epidemic) in the US rust belt and exporting jobs are unrelated, think again.

Donald the Great is trying nothing less audacious than restoring the US working class and incidentally saving the USA as a nation.

  12. Economists, epidiomlogists and climatologists are fake junk science scam artists.

  13. “And now in some ways it’s too late because…it’s not even possible to have a reasonable discussion under Trump. The U.S. president has effectively discarded modern economics…”

A wise decision. It would be far truer to say that President Trump judged, correctly, that it was not possible to have a reasonable discussion about how to make America great again with the likes of Paul Krugman.

  14. Garbage liberal article, just another attack on Trump and his supporters.

Economist clowns have been ignorant and wrong for years, Trump builds the greatest economy the world has seen, and yet these a-holes have the nerve to attack him.

If anybody needs to be bitch slapped it’s every economist mentioned in this article, what a bunch of worthless jerks.

  15. Bob Murphy and Tom Woods have created a whole industry around debunking Krugman’s column . He was shill for Hell-ary , jockeying to become the Fed Chairman under her. America was shot and missed on Nov ’16 , I tell you.

  16. So, he is switching from international socialism to national socialism?

Do not listen to self proclaimed experts.

  17. This article admits that economists were arrogant and wrong. Unfortunately, according to the writer, that lead to populist Donald Trump who is even more wrong and his personality alone has shut down rational discussion. (The last independent clause is almost right: SOMETHING has closed down rational discussion, but it sure isn’t Trump.)
