  5. Nice fear porn. I decided to play with the numbers given. Population 8,398,748. Hospitalizations 43,913 Deaths 14,389. Therefore 1 in every 191.258 hospitalized with a 0.17% death rate. Not sure how they came up with their numbers. Also there is a lot of evidence that seems to indicate the number of deaths is wildly exaggerated in order to get more funding for the hospitals.

      The 1 in 154 hospitalized figure refers to ADULTS: 6,717,423 adults, divided by 43,599 adults hospitalized = 1 in 154.

      Deaths were based on ADULT deaths confirmed (those with positive COVID-19 test) = 14389
      plus probable ADULT deaths (those with no test, but COVID listed on death cert) = 4245
      so 6,717,423 divided by 19702 = 360.

      Deaths over 75 was 9322. population over 75 was 561,199. Dividing gives 1 in 60.

      Now we could argue over how to count deaths. Are they COVID or not COVID?

      COVID probable = 856 (report incomplete
      other NYC deaths = 13042
      Total = 32,964 or approx 559 per day

      Now on average 147 people normally die each day in NYC

  7. The Wuhan Flu probably wasn’t genetically engineered by the Wuhan Institute of Virology. By that I mean they didn’t fire up their Crispr Machine and cut and paste genetic code into the Chinese Coronavirus. That would have been noticeable in the viru genetic code.

    But that doesn’t mean they didn’t “play” with it, Just like the way we used to modify plants and animals the old fashioned way. The Bat Virus is found in a species of bat that lives more than 400 miles away. It didn’t get to Wuhan by itself. In the lab, they could have exposed several different test animals to the original virus, and as it adapted to the new non-bat hosts, it changed naturally.

    Scientists have also been performing gain of function experiments on many different viruses, and even published papers describing how they had increased the virulence of existing flu viruses they were “experimenting” with. The method is to expose test animals to the virus, and as it is modified by the test animal and nature, expose the new virus to more test animals, repeat as needed. Soon you get a virus that is well adapted to a completely new host. If you pick the virus that kills its new hosts quickly or thoroughly, you can train the surviving virii to be more lethal. This is sort of like how Kate breeds her Miniature Schnauzers to win dog shows, except faster, when virus generations are only days or weeks long. There are some test animals that better mimic humans than others, supposedly civets are one such species.

    They may have been trying to develop a possible bio-weapon, or they may have been doing theoretical research, but somehow one of their bugs made it out of the Wuhan lab. If China ever comes clean on the truth, we will find out that Patient Zero was either from the lab, a significant other of a lab employee, or handled a test animal smuggled out of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, likely in September, October, or November of 2019.

    1. There was also a high level biology lab near the Ebola outbreak and there’s no more reason to believe it was the epicenter than the Wuhan lab was.

      Read the article I linked to. It’s highly unlikely the radical change in spike sequence was a result of ‘enforced selection’. It’s just too radical of a leap.

      EDIT: while the virus may have lived in bats, pangolins were a likely intermediate between bats and humans.

    Kids are at less risk than adults. The numbers appear to prove that out. We may still no know all we need to know about the virus, but the death toll under 60 is small, and it is gets smaller as people get younger. In the 4 provinces that break down deaths by age no one under 19 has died with or from covid, yet. As a percentage of the people who test positive for covid under 19s are the least represented group.

      During the H1N1 (Swine Flu) epidemic in 2009 when a Democrat was President, the CDC approved four vaccines just 7 weeks after clinical trials began by invoking the Accelerated Approval Process. Here are excerpts from the timeline on their website:

      April 15. First human infection.
      May 5. School closings affect 607,778 students.
      July 22. Clinical trials testing the vaccines begin.
      September 15. Four H1N1 vaccines approved for use by the FDA.

      In this accelerated process, designed for epidemics, a single clinical trial phase determines whether a vaccine is safe and whether it creates the required antibodies. In vaccine terminology, the pathogen-specific antibodies developed by a vaccine are considered to be a “surrogate endpoint” permitting the vaccine to be deployed immediately, without Phase 2 or Phase 3 studies. A “Phase 4” process begins after deployment to track the effectiveness and the side-effects of the vaccine.

      On May 7, the FDA announced that the Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine had been approved to begin its Phase 2 trial. Since its Phase 1 clinical trial concluded successfully, it is safe for healthy people and able to produce a “surrogate endpoint.” As a result, it could be immediately deployed to healthy people in order to create the 60% herd immunity condition that prevents spread of an epidemic.

      Moderna’s Phase 2 clinical trial is scheduled to end mid-summer which will determine whether the vaccine is safe for older people and other groups that would have high mortality rate should they contract COVID-19. If this trial is successful, use of Moderna’s vaccine could immediately be extended to those less-healthy groups.

Fortunately, Internet research is available to all doctors, and HCQ is a well-known safe drug that is already prescribed for daily use by lupus patients, so many physicians have been prescribing HCQ for COVID-19.

      In April, Dr. Robin Amstrong, whose medical group serves the Resort at Texas City nursing home, successfully treated 56 residents and 31 staff members who had tested positive for COVID-19. He administered HCQ with zinc supplements and an antibiotic for five days. As a result, only one of his patients and not a single staff member died. This compares favorably with the usual Case Fatality Rate of about 15% for patients who are 80 and up.

      Armstrong used the same 5-day course of treatment that had been successfully used by primary care physician Dr. Vladimir Zelenko when COVID-19 raged through the New York Hasidic community that he served. If this treatment proves to be as effective as Armstrong and Zelenko report, then tens of thousands of lives could be saved. But the CDC has not yet conducted a randomized clinical study to determine if it works.

      4. Treatment Question for Fauci: Why did you leave out zinc when testing HCQ with hospitalized zinc-deficient patients?

      Fauci’s NIAID has publicized two studies in which HCQ was given to seriously ill hospitalized patients without administering zinc at the same time. The patients involved were probably zinc deficient, since almost all those who die from COVID-19 are drawn from zinc deficient groups.

      HCQ is a zinc-ionophore (meaning that it helps transport available zinc from the blood stream through cell walls into cells where it slows virus replication). Medical researchers from around the world are currently calling for the combo of HCQ and zinc supplements to be tested, based upon their extensive reviews of the research evidence. These researchers include:

      · Two Michigan researchers, Mujeeb Olushola Shittu and Olufemi Ifeoluwa Afolami

      · Two German researchers: Martin Scholz and Roland Derwand.

      · Two Belgian Researchers: Amir Noeparast and Gil Verschelden.

      The Belgian researchers’ conclusion is especially relevant. They found that when HCQ is administered without zinc to zinc-deficient patients, it could actually reduce the zinc in the part of the cell (the lysosome) where it can do the most good.

      Dr. Jackson in this video (see 40:16 mark) reports that not one of his elderly (and thus zinc-deficient) patients experienced the worsened arrythmias from HCQ in Fauci’s studies of hospitalized patients. In view of the 2007 finding that zinc supplementation combined with a zinc ionophore can prevent heart arrythmias, the explanation could be simple! Jackson gave zinc supplements to his elderly patients along with the HCQ. The studies that Fauci touts did not!

      Instead, of taking the time to keep up with the research regarding zinc and HCQ, Fauci talks daily on the telephone with Andrew Cuomo of anti-Trump CNN, supposedly to ask him about his health. Meanwhile, at the CDC, instead of expediting vaccines and testing treatments, Redfield calls for mail-in voting in the next election, a measure that would benefit Democrats.

      Fauci and Redfield are playing political games while Americans die. Republican Senators need to ask them why they are failing to invoke the Accelerated Approval Process to get out a vaccine right away and why they are failing to test the HCQ-zinc treatment.

  24. Now one reason the Wuhan Lab could be suspect,is its very history,designed by the French and built by Chinese Government Contractors..French apparently pulled out when project was 2 years behind schedule and way over budget.
    Now my experience ,when a project goes sideways like that,corners get cut.
    Throw in government involvement and the chances of failure to meet spec grows to damn near a certainty.
    Remember this was to be a secure facility.

  25. I wear a mask when shopping basically, or when I go into the office, or any other crowd.

    The point of wearing a mask is to prevent MY germs from infecting YOU, you arsehole not wearing a mask. If we all wore masks, we can forget about all this economic suicide and business closures and 6 foot distance an interminable lineups.

    I don’t listen to the experts and their computer models supplied with garbage data with outputs that basically are wild arsed guesses.

      I am saying we can make masks fashionable and socially useful.
