More: Michael Flynn was not the objective. He was the obstacle.
But why did they do it? That has been the baffling question. Oh, there have been plenty of indications that the Obama administration could not abide Flynn. The White House and the intelligence agencies had their reasons, mostly vindictive. But while that may explain their gleefulness over his fall from grace, it has never been a satisfying explanation for the extraordinary measures the FBI took to orchestrate that fall.
To understand what happened here, you have to understand what the FBI’s objective was, first formed in collaboration with Obama-administration officials. That includes President Obama, Vice President Biden, and Flynn’s predecessor, national-security adviser Susan Rice, with whom then-Acting Attorney General Sally Yates and then-FBI director James Comey met at the White House on January 5, 2017 — smack in the middle of the chain-of-events that led to Flynn’s ouster. Recall Rice’s CYA memo about the meeting: “President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia” (emphasis added). Rice wrote those words on January 20, at the very time the FBI was making its plan to push Flynn out.
The objective of the Obama administration and its FBI hierarchy was to continue the Trump–Russia investigation, even after President Trump took office, and even though President Trump was the quarry. The investigation would hamstring Trump’s capacity to govern and reverse Obama policies. Continuing it would allow the FBI to keep digging until it finally came up with a crime or impeachable offense that they were then confident they would find. Remember, even then, the bureau was telling the FISA court that Trump’s campaign was suspected of collaborating in Russia’s election interference. FBI brass had also pushed for the intelligence community to include the Steele dossier — the bogus compendium of Trump–Russia collusion allegations — in its report assessing Russia’s meddling in the campaign.
But how could the FBI sustain an investigation targeting the president when the president would have the power to shut the investigation down?
The only way the bureau could pull that off would be to conceal from the president the fullness of the Russia investigation — in particular, the fact that Trump was the target.
That is why Flynn had to go.

Schumer, Pelosi will walk the slime they are and Schiff will get a reprimand and resign, another slime ball.
The Clintons may walk, their influence done in the DNC.
Members of the DNC may just dump the rest for destroying the party.
Remember the DNC used to be to the right of Conservatives in this country, I know both have changed but a fact.
Love to see it happen but the odds are not favourable.

It is hard to say why Trump is not doing more about those criminals, there could be many reasons,
but here is something not that silly; he fears they will assassinate him…or they will assassinate his wife or his favorite daughter.

I’m not so sure this will all be swept under the rug, this is really serious stuff (ie- a coup attempt) and I think Barr and Durham have them cold.
My vote is indictments and jail time, Barr takes his responsibility very seriously and is old school.

Trying to think like Trump. First objective – reelection.
Once he’s firmly ensconced is his final four years, it’ll be time for some serious housecleaning.
Interference aside (good luck with that), he’d be re-elected in a landslide.
Actual prediction, he’ll simply get re-elected, although he probably can’t resist trying for not just Electoral College victory but also a popular vote victory, as meaningless as that may actually be – if I were him I’d want that simply for the ability to rub the Dem’s nose in it for four years.
He needs a RINO, Never Trumper, DeMarxist and Demosaur free House and Senate to truly get the job done.

The actions of certain agencies of the US, the FBI in this case could be analogous to the NAZI’s burning the Reichstag and variety of communist actions in the former communist run states of Europe, to justify action, illegal action, any action, to set up a coup to overthrow the new president of the US.
In the banana republics of the central and south America that was a standard practice, it still could be, don’t know.
It is interesting that they leave out Brennan, the old communist that run the CIA. Who is running the interference?
As for the former occupant of the White House, any actions against him are not gonna amount to hill of beans.
Whatever crooked things he’s done is just a matter of historical curiosity. It will not get any traction. President of the US is pretty much immune to any and all charges, except perhaps actively aiding an enemy to undermine his own country. Better leave it at that.
They should all be charged with treason and a lesser offense to give the jury something to convict them on. They are all guilty of treason but it might be hard to make it stick.
Well if the Dems can keep Dementia Joe, away from debates by continuing the Covid lock down, through to November, then parachute the replacement candidate in as the VP, without having him (Dementia Joe) participate in those choices. Lets face it, anytime he’s in front of a camera, he’s showing the world he’s not competent to be POTUS! Heck, he’s showing the world he’s not competent, period! Now, we are told General Flynn is a upstanding guy with a great background in intelligence.
If this is true and especially after he has been betrayed by the very system and people he trusted,Flynn is the perfect man for a Retribution Czar.
Such an appointment will have the Demon Rats selling each other out for “special considerations” at hyper speed.
And if the citizen’s confidence in these institutions is to be restored, some brutal theatre is called for.
With a master showman at the helm,the US Administration might even turn a profit from executing the treasonous.

There is speculation as to why they went after Flynn. I would suggest it was because within days of Trump being elected he had informed the Trump administration that they were under surveillances. You also may recall the sudden move to the Trump tower. If you recall this was denied And the MSM basically accused Trump of making it up. Of course he was being surveilled, all be it indirectly. Anything they got on Trump would just be accidental I guess. What did they get =Nothing. Hanging is in order- literally.
It was Vice Admiral Mike Rogers that informed the incoming Trump Administration that they were being surveilled. Obama did not trust Flynn because of Flynn’s past history with the Obama administration. Rogers on the otherhand somehow slipped under the Obama Administration’s radar. There is a lot more to what has occurred than what we are aware of.
To anyone following this over the years this is not a surprise. The surprising factor here is that the paperwork had been saved, unlike the Clinton e-mails(?). Now that this paper trail has been exposed it is only a matter of charges to be laid and the terms of prosecution. Therein lies the problem. Prosecution for the crime of treason, for there can be no doubt that what was attempted is nothing short of treason, is a capital offence. Now does the American public have the intestinal fortitude to see this through to the proper conclusion or does their compassion allow for internment for life. Interesting problem. Going by history either option is fraught with unintended consequences; Rome, England, France, Germany, Russia would be some suitable examples. How far are Americans willing to go to restore their faith in their Constitution? If this is not the time to refresh the Tree of Liberty, then when?
