    3. Re Xplornet: With everyone working from home, on line courses, being home trying to watch Netflix, Xplornet made a very generous offer of unlimited data for EVERYONE regardless of plan. Bandwidth must be maxed right out and it hasn’t worked worth a sore arse for about a week now.

    1. What is it with people always waiting for the government to weigh in on something. Stop whining and start spreading the word, translated as necessary. Convince the people in your circle to stay home, and then get them to spread that outward. Volunteer with the “asylum seekers”. If you care about your community, try to protect it, instead of just sitting at your keyboard and bitching about the government response. Unless you just don’t care about the lives in your community, in which case, STFU and stop virtue-signalling.

      1. What are you whining about? I don’t have the flu and I go about my business as I would any normal day. And why shouldn’t I? I behave like I would during the regular flu season. If you really cared about your community, you would be factoring in the economic impart of this over reaction.
        I don’t believe the panic and hysteria spewed out by our lying, hypocritical part time drama teacher with no credibility. He continues to import COVID-19 carriers into this country – that’s the problem.

    One article I saw abt the Midlands mentioned the coronavirus outbeak began in a church. Express & Star: Coronavirus outbreak ‘in church’ linked to hotspot forWest Midlands deaths.

    Report: Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the government is looking “very, very closely” at why there is a coronavirus hotspot in the Midlands.

    The region has seen 28 deaths so far, with the majority of the victims being elderly or at-risk patients.

    The West Midlands now accounts for 16 per cent of the death toll in England.

    The Royal Wolverhampton Trust reported nine deaths from Covid-19, the highest number for any trust in the country. The Dudley Group Foundation Trust recorded seven deaths, while Sandwell and West Birmingham Trust reported five deaths. Walsall Healthcare Trust also recorded one death.

    1. Televised report was of “places of worship”. If the churches in England are anything like the churches here, they have shut down and are going to email information and phoners. The larger churches will be able to broadcast their services (sans congregations). Suspect the “places of worship” are mosques.

    A number of theories have begun to emerge to try to understand the high transmission rates in the region.

    The Birmingham MP, Khalid Mahmood, said elderly Muslim and Sikh people in the area were struggling to adhere to government guidelines… “Mosques and gurdwaras have told people to stay away but some of the older ones are really struggling. Part of it is because they feel religious observance is more important now than ever – they feel they may die and lose loved ones – so they need to pray. These are people who have incredibly strong religious convictions and it’s hard for them to stay away.”

    “For some of these elderly people the gurdwara and mosque is where they’ve always met their friends and they are finding it hard to give that up because they are scared of becoming socially isolated,” added Mahmood….
