The first thing Beijing did about coronavirus was to start looking for a way to blame Donald Trump and spreading rumours that it was an American bioweapon.
In reality, Beijing developed and released the virus deliberately as a weapon of mass destruction, to torpedo the American economy in an American election year, overthrow Donald Trump and re-install someone willing to kowtow to China.
Of course, it won’t work, but they will get the blood of millions on their hands trying.
It is certainly shaping up to be a horrific decade for economies AROUND the world. If the virus doesn’t kill you, the civil unrest will likely make living a little bit more interesting. Dodging roving gangs, Mad Max style, will become a survival skill.

I couldn’t re-find the links yesterday but the number of Chinese that are here as students, tourists, and other is enormous too. The number was around 2000+ flights China to US per week in 2015. Funny how the same search terms are so off target now. I can see the left trying to queue up the argument that the travel ban did nothing based on genetic mutation rate showing patient zero was here Jan 15ish but that’s just an argument for people bad at math.
