Protesters have blocked access to the Thousand Islands Bridge as families return home after the Family Day long weekend.
The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority says traffic restrictions to Canada are in effect due to protesters on the Canadian span of the bridge crossing.
In a message on Twitter, Ontario Provincial Police announced Highway 137 is closed in the Lansdowne area, including access from Highway 401 eastbound and westbound and access to the United States.
How thoughtful of the OPP to step up to the plate with volunteer traffic control. Mighty neighborly.

This fiasco has gotten so bad that even the media Party is admitting that 5 people,in their disagreement with 8 of their peers, the band and the band council..are the cause for which Canada has been shut down.
That is beyond parody.
5 hereditary chiefs,5 is all it takes to override the democratic will of their own council, their own band and their own elected chief and council.the laws of Canada and take precedent over police enforcing the law….
And CBC thinks this is a good thing, supports Aboriginal Rights and all such drivel.
The reporting on Canadian media is even lower than their coverage of Chief Moose Stew and her subsequent sentencing.
We must not let facts, the law nor the democratic process interfer with the Narrative.
Buy popcorn, any poor taxpayer watching our helpless ,hapless and clueless excuse for a Prime Minister, will never recover faith in our institutions.
The country is reenacting France 1778.
