And worth every penny – Harvard and Yale Law students are calling for fellow students across the country to pledge to boycott Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison until the firm drops Exxon as its legal client.

A pledge from Weiss to stop hiring activists from Yale or Harvard would be a good start. With a list of other law firms to follow
Let’s see what Yale University invests in…..shall we?
“The Endowment’s long time horizon is well suited to exploiting illiquid, less efficient markets such as venture capital, leveraged buyouts, oil and gas, timber, and real estate.” http://investments.yale.edu/
Oh my!!!!
The thumb on Harvard & Yale is overdue… Eliminating Federal funding for Foreign Students that are educated & then returned (social Engineering) to their Shit Hole Country must end… All qualified graduates must be offered a Job in America… Obama’s father would have had a brighter future….. The Short term thinking is wrong
Couldnt the studends refuse anything made with, trucked to the school that is oil? Really show ‘us first ‘leadership?
What a great campaign! In general it must be difficult for a law firm like Paul, Weiss, et al, to look through dozens and dozens of resumes from the Yale Law school students and weed out those who managed to get their law degree but still aren’t very smart. Now they have the students self-selecting with all the dumb ones not even bothering to apply. Brilliant.
PJ, most lawyers know law, but are stupid as bag of hammers when it get to strategy. Sidney Powel, and one defending Norman are great strategists, as was Greenspan, and that is why they stand out
I must agree, with the exception of one, every lawyer I have ever met and worked with (and it is quite a few) was dumber than a post. They could certainly read a legal document, but they couldn’t understand how to deal with it or react to it.
That being said, the bright ones do tend to move the world.
This is a very dangerous move by these law students, it exposes a key weakness in the whole judicial representation system. That being that your lawyer is supposed to work for you, for your benefit, and you are are supposed to be able to trust that simple fact.
They are going to break that! Excellent. Every law firm must now take steps to protect itself and its clients against SJW lawyers that have wormed their way into their organisation in order to bring it down.
I simply don’t have enough popcorn for all this insanity these days….
Law firms used to pick Harvard and Yale graduates because they were the best and brightest of the Ivy League, which were the best and brightest of the entire American University System. Now it is habit, and driven by the nepotistic legacy driven HABITS of the decision makers and human resources.
When will they decide that the Social Justice Warriors are not worth it?
Meh.
When I was in college at UC Berkeley … it was put to us … “would you dare to design a nuclear power plant?” Because you know … “thermonuclear war!!” Because you know … “The China Syndrome and Jane Fonda!!”
Fine. Don’t. Someone else will.
My answer? A big paycheck trumps your fe ee ee ee lings
Pledge the list of their names to the internet forever, that would do a great service to everyone.
All of them would still be hired by government or rent-seeking agencies funded by taxpayers like universities or other welfare institutions, it wouldn’t punish them, it would just save grownups a lot of trouble.
It is very troubling to see how ‘actively stupid’ the ‘most educated’ young people are trying to be, incredible actually, they can’t really be that dumb.
They’ll be sorry for that come Inauguration Day 2021.
The rule of law is returning to America. The rule of lawyers is drawing to a close.
Faced with their power broken, the reality of six figures of law school debt impossible to discharge in bankruptcy, and with no way of paying it off, maybe the snowflakes will do the right thing by the world—following their idol RBG into hell.
I wonder if they feel the same way about the law firms defending rapists, serial killers, and drug dealers? Or is it only individual scumbags who are guaranteed the most robust legal defence?
“… boycott Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison until the firm drops Exxon as its legal client.”
So sad, so terribly sad.* I guess Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison will just have to stagger on down the road with competent lawyers then – and I bet that in days and years to come, their attorneys will REALLY, REALLY enjoy conducting lawsuits against the Harvard and Yale graduates who boycott them. Win-win!
